Yeup they dont make em like this anymore, just a regular linear combat game, everything has to be triple A or a$100 million dollar investment or hundreds of dlcs to make residual profit, this is why god of war and proce of Persia games where and are so successful they didnt need extra dlc or a $100 million dollar budget that is why the video game industry is going to die sad but true. Giant publicly traded corporate studios will collapse. They have made the decision to prioritize investors over consumers. Perhaps I am just ignorant because I don't have a business degree from a prestigious institution but I just don't understand why investment money is more important than customers and actual sales. A game is nothing without an actual customer base or a community to promote and grow that game over time. Bottom line is games need to be fun and appealing to a core audience. We are seeing the rise of the Indy studios who are delivering fun games with targeted audiences. I for one will not mourn the end of the big corporate studios.
