Hallo Frank Galetzka, ich habe Videos von Testflügen einiger meiner Guillow's Modelle auf meinem Kanal. Die schlechten Ergebnisse der Testflüge sind auf das hohe Gewicht und die unzureichende Trimmung der Modelle zurückzuführen. Die P 40 und Fw 190 flogen nicht wirklich gut, aber die kleine Bf 109 und die Spitfire würde ich nicht als flugfähig bezeichnen. Bleib gesund!

It was a lot of fun to modify this kit and I'm very happy with the final result. But as you also can see from my pictures, if something goes wrong, it can be easily repaired and also easily improved. Hi Veecee27, it was a good idea of you, to watch more than only one of my slideshows! Simply, because building these Guillow`s models, has been a steep learning curve for me and I only kept the better ideas, which worked fine for me. I`m also happy with my modifications of this Guillow`s model and if I should have managed to inspire you to build your own model, then there is nothing more, that I could have wished for. Hallo ad Bo, die Giggi hat ein Deck aus Holz und die Hook ist vollständig aus Plastik, aber das Segelverhalten wird bei beiden Modellen wohl sehr ähnlich sein. Wie man im Video recht gut sehen kann, segeln die Modelle von Günther um so besser, je länger sie sind. Deshalb ist die Größe bzw. die Art des Gewässers ein wichtiger Faktor. In einem kleinen Gartenteich ist sind diese kleinen Modelle ganz bestimmt eine sehr gute Wahl. Wenn man aber an einem etwas größeren See darauf wartet, dass man sein Modell wieder einsammeln kann, dann ist die etwas größere Windy eine deutlich bessere Wahl, weil sie recht gut den Kurs hält. Die Sturmvogel ist in meinem Video das mit Abstand beste Modell, allerdings würde ich in dieser Größe dann doch wohl mein Geld in eine Micro Magic investieren, weil sie ferngesteuert ist und deshalb wirklich riesigen Spaß macht. Viel Freude mit dem Modell, egal, welches es werden wird!

Hi Eleazar Visaez, thank you for your nice comment! The broken prop wasn't a problem, because I have leftover props from other Guillow's kits. Some of my Guillow's models have props with three blades, which makes them look much better. I wish you the very best!

Hi Captain Nostromo, at first, I use the melted wax to make my own waxed paper to cover the plan. Later, I rubbed wax on a plastic dish and lid, so that the fuselage and wings wouldn't get stuck to the plastic, while drying. But this step isn't really necessary. I wish you the very best!

My last successful is a p 40 electric brushless motor RC Model with only rudder, and elevator and a bit more dihedral it flies really great and if I am careful with the landings it will hopefully last for some time 😎

Hi Neale Unruh, I have also videos on my channel, which I called "Guillow's test flight", where you can see, how poorly my planes fly. Indeed, due to the paint, my models are too heavy to fly well. The MESSERSCHMITT BF 109 white 14 (Kit No: 401 LC) flies best, because of it's size, but in my video it flies only down hill. But I see it as a compromise. I'm happy with how my models look and I accept the way they fly. I wish you the very best!

@@andreasbuttner-land1890 They definitely do look stunning. If only we could find a way to paint them beautifully and not have to put RC equipment in them to have them fly just as beautifully in free flight.

Hi Neale Unruh, I think that the weight of the paint will count less, if you'd build one of the bigger models, like the Kit No: 401 LC. The rubber band of the bigger models is also much better. If you'd use acrylic paint, then you could use water as thinner and save also weight this way. But I'm pretty sure, that if you're happy with the paint job, then you'll be also be happy, if your model flies maybe not excellent, but still flies pretty ok. Have a nice day!

Hi Tubehero2109_the_original , I'm sorry for the delayed reply. The entire rigging can be removed and exchanged with a new one. I think, that converting this model into a r/c model would be quite a task, but I had the idea of filling up the hull with foam and then let this model sail all alone across the seas. It would be interesting to see, how far it could get. I wish you the very best!

Hallo Torro's RC Channel, im digitalen Zeitalter wohl leider nicht mehr so sehr wie früher, aber wenn sich ein Kind so magisch vom Wasser angezogen fühlt wie ich, dann hat so ein einfaches, kleines Segelboot sicherlich noch seinen ganz besonderen Reiz. Ehemalige Besitzer dieser kleinen Segelboote von Günther berichten aber einstimming, dass sie in ihrer Kindheit riesigen Spaß damit hatten.

Hi Janskovjensen, for this video I was very lucky, because I found a pond in Belgium, where the sailboats couldn't get away and where I had good access to every part of the pond. These little sailboats have been a dream of my childhood, but only as an adult I had the opportunity to sail them and to film them. Free sailing sailboat models are really very delightful. but all too often many ponds are not ideal to sail them.

Hi Clément Talon, thank you very much for the nice compliment! I actually thought, that I had written in the slideshow, but somehow I forgot to do it. I think, it took me about 30 to 40 hours to build the model and to take the pictures. Just building the model will take you about two weeks, if you can find every day one or two hours to build the model. I wish you the very best!
