I just ordered this light. Can I use it with other 14500 batteries? Seems like there are offerings with much higher MaH. Would this result in longer battery life?

You will find that the aluminum that Fenix uses holds up much better than plastic. It will not bend or ding unless you put it in a hydraulic press which would break the plastic one first anyway. I'm not a fan of built in batteries though. Not only are you unable to swap cells when needed but the light becomes useless when the built in battery fails. Batteries don't last forever. My favorite super small headlamps would be the Fenix HM23 and the Armytek Wizard C1. I normally don't use headlamps but they are really nice to have for certain tasks. My least comfortable headlamp is my Fenix HL60R which is a shame because aside from comfort it is excellent. I wish it had instant access to the lowest mode though.

Ive sold my sc32 to minimise my collection, few months ago got the wurkkos wk03/sofirn sc18 . It's a great light, now retired to my baton 4.Time to time I kept remembering the sc32. The feel, quality. I want the hcri version but sofirn don't make it any more. Should have grab it. Anyone have any doubt getting the sc32, just get it. It's a very good edc light

My first instinct is to go with the magnet in the tail but in practice it scratches the tail cap really bad so for more fun lights like this I go without the magnet these days. I have a few workhorse right angle headlamps I hard use.

I don't get why purple is the hardest color to make LO? L yeah, easy orange easy. Purple to me, it always ends up looking pink or if it is purple, it's not bright.

Have you measured the lumens on the SFT40 3000K ?

Now Is for ten bucks with battery on AliExpress and even for this money I'm not interested because it doesn't have nothing between 3 and 100 lumens. Most used power is between 20 and 50 lumens. Just illuminate 3 meters front of your legs. 3 lumens are too low and 100 lumens is overkill. That's why sc18 is not good flashlight even for this money. With infinite dimming it would ve perfect.

I just bought the 26800 tube and a 26800 battery from Convoy and have never reverted to the standard 21700 tube. the 26800 tube fits much better in my hand and I have extra runtime, win.

Any tips on how to fix the tail cap? One of mine stopped working and since it's a copper light, I'd like to fix it if I can.

I've owned this flashlight for 8 months six of it doing maintenance. It works fine with no problems and no complaints. I also have the tip SE from them as well which is alot of light in a small package with a great battery.

Baton 4 is my first olight. Not sure if it is the last. Got it because of the charging case and type c. Always on the go and the flashlight is always full whenever I need it. No more extra batteries. It got the throw as well. Loves my new edc. I like this tint though. I do have 519 and all,but Sst40 tint is way more green to me.

can you recomeend a small inexpensive , easy to operate light like the saber, that also has candlelight mode that will run for a long time while also having near 700 lumen output on high and I need the light to have a USB charging port built into the flashlight casing...would like something that can run on either 1 AA battery or 1 18650 battery. You can run a strip of aluminum foil from the top to the bottom of other battery makers and use any correctly sized battery you want.

Great review - your thoughts beyond the pure review are really helpful. Do you feel this light be suitable for leaving in the center console of a car for emergency use? For that usage, I think I'd prefer more flood (like with the Baton 3), but It seems like this light would be perfect for the aforementioned use case. Thanks for any input!
