I got the first three, and then gave up
I just guessed the franchise and was correct. I don't know many modern horror games.
I have no hopes for bo6 zombies. To be honest I really think Cold War zombies way HIGHLY overrated and because of that they are gonna do the same with bo6
Hey its a bit too late but, just asking if pygame is qualified to create a game
Hey, yes any game development software is eligible as long as it's free 🙂
I love the GDTV and bully Maguire crossover.. Please more of these
Gotta love relatable memes 🙂
Honestly hope it’s good zombies was slowly loosing its touch after bo4. bo3 was alright better than what been getting but bo1 and bo2 did it best
Hopefully we'll have another classic zombies on our hands!
Literally the only way they are able to sell any cods now
Gotta love zombies!
ok
Copy and paste too much
A good practice is to always type everything. Repition helps memory and then you shouldn't end up with a lot of random chaos in the code 😁
Documentation is always important, no matter how much any lazy developer or practices try to downplay it.
Spot on, make use of documentation. It's there for a reason 🙂
TRUE 😭 And when the comments you left don’t even make sense
"What does 'X is Y so is Z that is Y' even mean!? 😆
Devs, stop doing that please. It messes with Reshade as it can't apply depth-based shaders to both the world and the hands/weapons, since those are rendered in two different depth buffers.
Lmao, who cares about reshade anyway
Millions of users. Especially useful when games have ugly filter/LUT or very bad screen space ambient occlusion
@@kokojack fair enough. I guess we should also pressure devs into making their games look better and allow for more customisation by default
Can I have that code line with Unity's new input system, Rigidbody.MovePosition and Photon Fusion 1? I got problems getting it to work and wonder how I got there currently. Hehe! 😹🐾
Rick's first game in the 2d course was: Delivery Driver 🚚. That was one of the most fun project, I even expanded that project later on.
hello game dev i have a problem the time is 4pm edt right well, the place where i live in is indonesia at that time it is 3:00am so i cant follow the stream even though i really want to ,sorry
Hi there, it's a shame you can't join us live but you should still be able to watch a repeat of the stream on www.twitch.tv/gamedevtv
@@Gdevtv okay thanks
You
Good but I'm a Newbie. So I need to know more about how this works and how it is easier. In the scene shown why didn't the gun poke through the wall? And what is the trickery? (an icon?)
You basically use 2 cameras, one of them can only see the guns and the other can see everything else (this is done through object masks in camera settings). You then overlay them on top of each other.
imagine drawing the game on a piece of paper then cutting out an image of the gun and gluing it onto it. That's basically what's happening but with some added movement and lighting effects to make it feel real. It doesn't interact with the objects in game because it's not on the same piece of paper
The explanations below are spot on.
Hello, I am the explanations below. So how it works is the little gamer brain elfs (think like santa's gift workshop, but inside your brain) are actually all American in nationality. As such, developers can rely on them to simulate the physics and graphics for guns. All devs have to do is slap a massive image of a gun on the screen, and the elves will automatically use all their neural forest magic to make it look real as fuck. Because they love their guns. This allows devs to focus their efforts elsewhere, although it means that often only guns will be rendered. This is why fps shooters are so prominent.
Hi frggjj
Great video
The short thumbnail shows the 5th fact and gives it away before playing the video, might want to change that 😉
Pokemon soul silver
👏👏
The Spy class in TF2 was inspired by a glitch in Team Fortress classic where a team member would swap visuals with the same class on the opposing team
I guessed it after you said the copies in Japan
Nice one 🙂👏
I'm so not used to the Nintendo DS library that my honest-to-god first guest was Nintendogs
Nintendogs! ❤🐶
Myself.
Getting yourself out there to many different community's is very important, one way you could do it is through getting a panel at some event such as Pax East-West-North-South, or any other convention. With social platforms being more and more accessible by everyone we see the world of development growing bigger and bigger with better opportunity's for the next generation. As we grow and learn from the past we see how things went well and for worse, It gives us a better output for games today since the market will always be facing new content. It takes time to make something big, however when done properly then we bring social groups together and family's as well.
I love this channel
I can't connect to itch io. Can you guys connect?
There was an issue with Itch but it should now be resolved 🙂
@@Gdevtv yeah, I was panicked because I thought I got virus or itch got hacked or something. It'd be sad if the jam got disrupted.
nah unreal first person one already has all the bass stuff for a fps shooter only need assets and change some settings in it and it would be done not good but would count as a fps
Sound effect for a aircraft jet engine going above your head.
Ahem Godot I mean the software is totally free and the dude just used an old assets he made and make a very nice simple game , the unreal dude seem to lack experience with the engine and so the unity dude but I still vote for Godot
2 years later and still good stuff
Glad to hear it's still valuable 😁
Got it at 3, cemented at 4
I learned a lot from this but my only thing was this program is entirely in C#. I still learned a lot about mechanics and it was still incredibly easy to switch back to GDScript utilizing the documentation.
Knew after first clue, because "The highly anticipated sequel to the 2003 game of the year." Stapled in my head.
I love you guys 😂
Savage Grant. well played
I miss your weekly live streams
Us too, we'd love to try and get these going again in the near future.
😂
can we only develop using Unity? Or can we develop on anything - Godot for example?
Anything you want. Whatever is best for you.
Yep, as @steingamedev said. You can use any engine you want. As long as it's free and availble for all to use (same applies to the assets) 😊
How to join to ur team?
Meow
😂
Godot dev ready to go to bed before even starting is WILD ❤
Knew it after 3# :)
That was awesome!! You guys are so fun to watch :D
I think this is going to be my first game jam and im really exited! but i have a question, in this video i saw only 2D games, is it possible to create a game in ue5 and still enter the game jam? if i can, it will be sooo cool and i will try my best!
You can use any engine that you want and it can be 2D or 3D. The choice is completely yours. The only rule is that you don't use paid for software or assets 🙂
I was alive when KOTOR came out, but I didn't play it until around 2014
Was it worth the wait for you?
@@Gdevtv I'd say it was interesting
Confirmed the answer with #3
Not too bad.
Got it on #4 but was way off prior lol
What other answers did you have beforehand? 😁
