You said absolutely nothing about the computerized part. I bought a brand new machine and the computer does not work or change stitches whatsoever that would be a Juki error and not a user error. Correct?

Might be a dumb question but I thought Glide thread was for embroidery, not the sewing machine??? I didn’t think the weight was right for a sewing machine??

Is there a software update available for this machine? I purchased mine about 8 years ago and I don’t have some of the options you showed such as programming the buttons for different functions. There’s a USB port so I’m assuming I can update my interface somehow. Do you know where the update is? Thanks! Also, I’d love to see some videos on free motion quilting with this machine. That’s how they were marketing it at the quilt show when I purchased it. It was wonderful for the first year or two but now it just shreds any thread when I try to free motion. Lastly, what is the recommended maintenance on this? Other than routine cleaning and keeping the oil filled, is there anything else? It’s not the easiest to bring into a shop. Thank you! Just in case you DO lose the bolt here is the measurements and replacement info if you were to go to a hardware store. It is metric size 4 /diameter .157 /with a pitch (bolt thread size) .157

Can it handle UV resistant thread and size 18 needle?

I have a new Juki TL-18 and the bobbin does not click when I insert it. What position should the bobbin case be in when inserting the bobbin? I have resorted to inserting the bobbin with the handle out rather than trying to make it click.

8:26 I didn’t know you could lock stitch by sewing in place. I guess I can simply drop the feed dog on my TL-2010Q and sew in place a few times…or am I missing something? 🧐🤔

Thanks so much for this. I really wish you would demo FMQ on this machine with the foot included. the manual is super confusing. How to deal with the settings apart from dropping the feed dogs and setting the stitch length to zero. EG working with foot height when it is not a spring foot. How to set the tension and what speed to travel with? I have been "quilting" with this for 3 years and still don't know what I'm doing and my results are no improving. I literally do not turn the machine off in between sessions once I find some tension combination that seems to work. Because all of the sudden the tension goes nuts. I got this because of the size of the throat space and I'm not having fun with it on the FMQ. Please help.

I was at a quilt show and the Juki dealer said you also set the tension using the white knob to the left of the word Juki. It does tighten or loosen but I wasn't sure when to use this knob. Are you familiar with this? Thank you.

I've only used the 10 needle Baby Lock so please excuse the fundamental questions. Can I use Embrillance Essentials on the Sai or am I limited to Tajima's built in software? If you can use Embrillance on the Sai, do you have to load on a USB stick or can you connect directly to the computer? Do you actually run the machine at 800 SPM the majority of the time? Although the Baby Lock has a 1000 SPM we tend to run it a 800 SPM max. Lastly, can you use Fast Hoops with the Sai? Thank you.

Are there any plans to make these exact machines with a 10-12” throat? Really want a Juki but want MORE space. Why are the larger throat spaces only on the computerized models?
