The flexible rubber brake lines can collapse internally and act like a one way valve. I had one do that, it looked ok from the outside, it would not let the caliper release. An experienced mechanic told me about the problem.
Wow. I'm doing a complete brakes system replacement on a 1986 Holiday Rambler motorhome, disc, disc. This info really helps. A later comment says that old hard o rings can be replaced to loosen a stuck valve. Thanks to all contributors.
Thanks for the video!. Mine got waterlogged after about 7 months. The battery totally corroded. I'll do your battery replacement, clean it up, and give it another try. My seal is black and thinner than yours. It also doesn't have the pins on the upper right. I'll rub the seal with a little motor oil and maybe it will swell a bit to seal better. Hopefully it will work. When it worked it was great! I've had trouble with the bridge disconnecting from my wifi I'm using 2 Asus Zen Wifi routers in a mesh. I'm debating changed the node to act independently and just assigning some of the wireless load to it. Some of my stuff seems to not want to play or play nicely with the node.
Great review on the drum brake assembly and thorough install perspective - as well as the boy helping out his Pop is a nice touch! Hey are you perhaps considering selling your old rear end that you got rebuilt and serviced at that place in one of your earlier videos? I live out on the East Coast so shipping would probably be a lot but just wondering... Thanks again for all the great insight!
A 9" rear end is NEVER dumb. Nice axle. Do you want to go through my Zenith H500? It's in pretty nice condition, but needs recapped and the rectifier changed.

Thanks...I found this video AFTER I spent 2 hours thinking that I had everything....except the year sticker...those people at DMV are definetly DEI hires!
Mine is reading error, I’m going to buy this sensor, thanks for the help!
hey guy Im in SASKATOON, contemplating buying a running driving C20, 1968 camper special is that HO52 you mention similar same to mine mentioned? my BIGGEST PROBLEM is it has 4.56 reargears and will barely do a 100km/h cuz its screaming at about 4000rpm SO far amigos the biggest wrecker nearby has nothing that will bolt in Got any ideas what will fit and where i can get one with 3.08-3.73 ish gears?
Your 68 will have the HO52 in it and yes it’s exactly the same rear end I had. The only answers are changing the rear end or finding gears for it. Gears are really rare as are all the other parts for it. Nothing bolts in. The closest you can get is what I did. Get a 14 bolt and modify it to bolt in.
@@mechtrician1 what about a new tranny? one guy said a S10 T5 will bolt in with a mod or two and that gives you an overdrive of at least .86 maybe even .72. not sure if its straight multiplication but does that mean .72 OD X 4.56 rear gear =about an equivalent 3.28 ish reargear? OR maybe some auto overdrive tranny will also bolt in, like 700r4?
I just rebuilt my 200 to Fords Inline Six Performance manual minus the head to the letter with a 264/274 cam, DUI distributor, shaved .100 off the head, flat top +.30 pistons, Weber 1v/2v carb ect ect....and still have no real power output even with the 6 to 2 header. Not sure why there wasn't a significant difference or change in power.
@@1957goldfinger it’s still a single barrel head? If so, yeah it won’t be much different. You have to open up the head to a 2V.
@@mechtrician1 without purchasing the Vintage Inline aluminum head which is no longer being produced i guess I'm stuck with a no-go motor even with all the new components installed. I don't think an old 250 head would make much difference. Well...I tried.
@@1957goldfinger you’re not stuck. Modify a 250 head for a 2V. Very common modification.
Thank you for this video I'm just understanding the proportioning valve function, And mine just started to leak out fluid from the front reset screw as I apply the brake, so I did a brake check on the front disk brakes and the rear drums and noticed that my right rear drum is leaking, I haven't taken the drop off to inspect it but my guess that's what might have tripped the proportioning valve? What's your input on this?
Do not take surface mounts off like that. You will pull the pads up. Take a pair of sharp nippers and cut a the base and then unsolder each leg. The lower the cap rating the higher the esr will be. That’s why the yellow on the cap wizard says compare. You can literally warm the caps in your hand and the esr will read different.
Weren't there things connected to the external voltage regulator that still need to be rerouted? I got a 42amp on my 63 thunderbird which has 3 wires coming from it and it has an electric voltage regulator. Just trying to hook up a classic car stereo head unit with a small amp is sending the amp into protection mode. Is that a tuff stuff alternator? How reliable has it been after 3 years?
No reroute is necessary. Just disconnect it. 3 years and several thousand miles, still works perfectly.
Nice video. Thanks. Will see what I come up with before my wife makes me buy a new fridge we probably don't need but hey, she's the boss or I'll starve to death.....lol
How could you do this exact thing if you couldn’t get to the attic? 😆😞
Where do I buy this tool?

Calls the dryer garbage, but in the same breath, ADMITTED that he "hasn't cleaned it out in a while". It's called MAINTENANCE which practically EVERY appliance on the planet NEEDS to have done once in a while in order to ensure optimum performance but sure, blame the dryer. 😅
Dude. Just the video I needed. I was scrolling down about to get to work, then your video caught my eye. Glad I stopped to check it out.
my 64 falcon with a tri power 200 and nitrous runs the Champ converter, Bob changed the stator to a 200r4 with a hardened spline due to the nitrous, he said i needed to be in the 2000 to 2200 range.....it was right on the money and flash stalled at 2100 rpm. also added a transgo stage 2 kit ,A code servo and V8 clutch drums....I am running the comp 260H and it works great,,,,, what cam are you running? great vidoes, nice build.
My LG DLG5988W has been working great for 19 years without issue. Taking apart to rest the overheat thermostat as the dryer vent outside was clogged.
Ford cut every corner designing this engine. The head is a sorry ass piece of junk. Ford management then as well as not sucks! No wonder GM kicks the shit out of them.
Born as a GM guy, I totally agree.
@mechtrician1 Great video. Do you have a link to buy that exact entire flush valve tower set? I can't seem to find it on the Toto website
Great Video! I kept the old cases from the original flume, it lets you swap out the AA batteries.
The video is helpful, but this us still the worst toilet ever designed. With any other toilet, you can easily access the underside of the tank with your bare hands to change anything you need to change. This toilet also has a bizarre way of connecting to the floor.
I started laughing when you said it took a lot of research for me only 6 hours 😁 6.2L Engine 2WD 1999 F450 F550 Rear Transfer Case Slip Yoke 1480, OE/OEM Part Number C3-3-839, SPICER #3-3-6021X, (1.375" brg cap dia) (D), 30/31 Spline (31 spline with 1 dead spline = 30 spline), Outside yoke dimension 4.438" (E), Center of u joint to end of spline 6.870" (J), Hub Diameter 1.885" (R), Spline OD 1.390"

Hi, I have the same alignment tool, I trying to set my 69 Ranchero to 2.5 Pos caster, 0 camber and 1/16" toe in. I set my caster first to 2.5 positive then set my camber to 0. I thought I would go back and check my caster and now it is at 1 pos. Can changing camber also change caster? I am really confused now.
Where can I get a 2bbl head, or info to build one?
Pretty sure on the bottom lower controll arm rubber bushing goes against the hole without the the cup. .
The opening of this video is hilariously funny
Quick question, it appears you’ve installed the PCV valve on the breather side of the motor instead of on the driver side. I spoke with the owner of the company that manufactures these and he said to air intake, passenger side and PCV on driver side. Am I missing something? Thx.
I don’t think you’re missing anything. It’s totally irrelevant which side. They are symmetrical.
Hi I have a 2019 Jetta SEL and I have the same issue, but I don’t know if I can remove the whole system from the car. Not sure how familiar you are with other models, but is it possible just to pull the knob off and spray it without disassembling everything? I saw that you mentioned trying that in the video and wanted to see if you had any luck with that. Thanks
Yeah give it a try.
Awesome video!! I had to swap my pressure switch because I was intermittently getting the same error. Weird thing is, when I installed the pressure switch and I turned on the controller, I no longer got the error, but the blower doesn’t automatically turn on anymore. I initially thought it wasn’t turning on at all, but I left it on for the day and I heard it kick on. Seems to be working fine. Do I have to be concerned that the blower doesn’t kick on when I hit the switch?
Hi, thanks for sharing this very nice and informative video alongside other equally interesting ones . Now, here is a puzzle I'm trying to solve: Looking at the schematic diagram, "in my eyes" some things simply do not add up. As far as I know and learned over the years on a voltage doubler full wave rectifier configuration you can achieve double the voltage but always at the expense of losing half of the input current right ? Now, (according to the manual) the unit claims to be able to deliver a maximum of 400V DC @100mA (continuous current) or 120mA (intermittently). But reading the schematic it seems that the BLU-BLU transformer winding (that is responsible for delivering the B+) delivers 210V AC @ 120mA but it is used in a full wave voltage doubler configuration which implies that you'll automatically lose half of the initial current after the rectification. So, if what I say is correct then it simply means that the device should only be able to deliver a maximum of 50mA (@400v DC) or less. So I'm thinking, wouldn't that be a "typo" on the schematic and that the winding in fact delivers around 250mA of continuous current instead of the marked 120mA ? Another "anomaly" I spotted is that, at the WHT-WHT winding (175V @15mA) again, considering it a half-wave rectification (as far as I can see) how can we have 270V DC after R1 (1K) and @ the same time 230V DC ??? This is really weird. I always thought that for a half-wave rectifier, the voltage after the rectification should be: V peak= Vrms/0.7071 and in this case = 175V/0.7071=247.5V minus 2 volts (the voltage drop across the 2 selenium rectifiers) = 246V DC or thereabout. So...I wonder what would be the logical explanation for it ? I'm now thinking that there might be even more question marks on the schematic that I'm yet to discover. Any help is much appreciated. Thank you.

Thanks for posting this video! I am considering picking one of these up. Really nicely designed TV set.
Project of love
Thank you for this video. It had absolutely every single detail I needed to do this on mine. However, I pull the radio out and discover that a previous owner installed an old aftermarket Tenna radio which is wired completely differently… so, over to eBay to grab an original radio and complete this repair, only to discover that the previous owner also fabricated (poorly) his own radio bracket that doesn’t work on the original radio, so… back to eBay again! The joys of owning one of these old cars… Got it all sorted and got it working thanks to your video! Thanks for the suggestion on Tess tape too, I hadn’t heard of this stuff before, and it’s great. Cheers from PA!
Probably does the fly a lot of good just to make the vent holes alone, the way those old cages were almost sealed up to help prevent a fire in case the fly burned up. Which now makes me think you'd want to be even *more* sure to not leave a set this old turned on unattended because if the fly does catch on fire, the fan blowing air into that cage ain't going to help things.
You said common voltage. How many volts is common voltage?
When I say common voltage, that means that they share the same voltage. Later in the video I show that they are 120vac solenoids.
