Great video, to see machining on these aluminum heads is priceless! Thanks for sharing and all the best for the build!
Great video…. I’m glad you got it. Can’t wait to see it in person next time I’m out your way
This is a pretty amazing build. Excited to see how it comes out. Hope you are having a merry Christmas.
Can't wait to see the final result!
Ford Australia has a cross flow inline 6 head you can still get them here in performance shops
Where?
I can't believe how much these heads have gone up since I got mine, serial# 002
Merry Christmas Danny
Over five years..... I've been on the waiting list... Sigh.... Maybe someday I'll get my head and finish my engine build.
Yella Terra in Australia make a specific set of roller rockers for this head but I think they are 1:63 or 1:65 ratio. Looking forward to see the finished engine
Jeff did one of these same VI heads for me
So from the other video you said that you used 390 FE rocker arms, can you ask your builder if I bought a set of non adj rockers would they slide right on to a stock rocker shaft on a 250ci with no machining done to them?
So jealous mate! Want one so bad.
Any updates on mat producing more?
Build a cross flow head.
Awesome!!! For a future video discussion... 1) Will your Argentinian valve cover fit without mods? 2a) Will the 200 block have any modifications? 2b) Was there any consideration to putting in a 250 block over the stock 200? 3) Any HP expectations for this fuel injection system over the Holley EFI Sniper you had prior? Thanks in advance!
You always ask the best questions Peter.
1. Yes the valve cover is a bolt on. It uses an adapter that bolts to the head to mate it to the VC.
2a. No modifications are needed to the block.
2b. Yes lots of discussion about going to a 250. I didn’t want to have to change transmissions, mounts, etc. I wanted to keep this as easy as possible.
3. I am not really sure what to expect HP wise. It will probably be in the 180 range if I had to guess. The MPFI will make it run more efficiently. The head is what will make it make more power.
Hello, could you give me the contact info for your overhaul mechanic? What area of the country is he in? Would be greatly appreciated.
The Google's of the internet have destroyed the ability to find overhaulers for this type of thing in my area (Wisconsin). Thank you.
How much do you want for it?$$$
Lol it’s not for sale. It’s in my 66 mustang now.
@@mechtrician1 more important... you said it was a lot? Well, how much? How much do I reasonably offer the next guy selling one of these heads? You said 1 a year maybe come around. How much should I be ready to offer?
@@greggoett somewhere in the 3k to 4k range.
@mechtrician1 still cheaper than a 3.2L BMW M3 motor swap. To keep a inline 6 in one.
