I feel like the only people who are going to understand just how bad the networking issues are, are the crossplay friends, where 1 has an xbox or ps5, and the other has a pc. On my mother, me and my friend spent 20 minutes just trying to get 1 game where they didnt get kicked, and it only happened 1 time, every other time they were kicked for connection issues

zss back throw is more of a swing kick than a push kick, kind of like kens spin kick he does (i forgot which move it is). if you watch closely she is swinging her leg toward her opponent, not jerking it out to them

I would give Steve something where he gets like a really powerful weapons in the game, and I know it wasn’t out yet but I would give him the mace now where he jumps from super high up and slams down on the enemy. Also I want Kirby to use the semi-truck ram he used to defeat the final boss in Kirby the Forgotten land since that feels powerful and would be a good opportunity for a reference
18:20 a good way to fix this final smash could be to make it so that all the enemies are slowed down, like, sonic is moving so fast that to him it looks like everyone is slowing down. It would make it much easier to hit opponents multiple times, and therefore more satisfying to use
7:07 I still want to know where they got that structure, because that's not in Minecraft. If they built it themselves, they could've very well did something more. If i ever get into modding, this will be the first thing I change
Here me out, he can keep the moving during charge but just slower, up b looks smaller and the startup of the move is slower to justify its kill power
I'm actually pretty surprised Agumon/Wargreymon (Rumble Arena 2), Yugi (Jump Super Stars or Ultimate Stars since they do play differently) or Ben 10 (young or teen from Punchtime or reboot in Brawlhalla) did not make the list or get an honorable mention. All of them have different mechanics that make them incredibly unique for a platform fighter. Oh well, maybe if this video gets a sequel.

Not to mention his up special lasts FOREVER! I was clinging on to a wall, my opponent did Taz’s up special and even I just did not know the timing because this was my first time fighting against Taz.
I would, assume that the second I touch that dust cloud I'm getting sucked in and we're both taking damage if I mash But I know I'm 100% wrong and, it's probably smaller than the animation idk

This is subjective, but the main issue I had with the beta, and what was made infinitely worse in the live release was how every character just felt super floaty and lacking in any real impact, it just looks like they're feigning a punch, and the enemy is pretending to be hit

The up special can't be fixed, because there's nothing TO fix. Where is the hitbox? The cloud. The entire cloud. Where is the hurtbox? The center of the cloud. It lasts forever? It has very limited mobility making it easily dodgable, requiring a read to land it. It's a good kill move, but has a lengthy cooldown so the Taz player needs to strategize when to use it or ends up wasting it. There's nothing like it in Smash? Sure there is. Wario's Waft is pretty similar. I don't know, seems pretty simple to me. What's wrong with it? I do agree about the Sandwich Up Attack though, that move is bullshit.
Claiming that waft and this abomination of visual clarity are remotely the same is just purposely missing the point

I don’t play this game very seriously, and I’m sure if I really grinded it out I’d get a feel for it, but as someone who’s played a lot of fighting games and have seen a LOT of bad hitbox/animation disparity, this move looks pretty egregious. You say the hitbox is the whole cloud, but is it actually? I’m legitimately curious, I can’t find frame data for this game. From a glance, it seems impossible to actually read. The cloud fluctuates in size, does the hitbox match that? There are also limbs occasionally extending out from it, are those also hitboxes? You say the middle of the cloud is the hurtbox, is that actually true? This is just a giant disjointed hitbox around a core hurtbox? Also, MockRock isn’t criticizing how good the move is, his core criticisms center around the design. The concept itself fundamentally creates visual ambiguity that impacts gameplay; he doesn’t like hard cooldowns as a balancing factor in FGs; and a cooldown doesn’t justify letting wonky animations through in the first place.
@@dc_dachi Ok, am I just going insane? I'm not trying to be snippy, I'm just genuinely concerned now that I might be the only one who feels like this move is ridiculously obvious, visually. If the cloud was much bigger, maybe, but it really isn't that much larger than Taz himself. Do the limbs pull you in, I dunno, but the whole design of the cloud is "don't touch the cloud" and they really don't extend that much further than it. Is this just a thing you need to have watched classic cartoons to understand? That cartoons fighting causes a big cloud of dust and other characters get sucked into if they touch it? What's the ambiguous part? The one thing I guess I can sorta see are the limbs, I just never considered that as part of the attack. Just a visual thing to replicate the old cartoons. They never really extend that far outwards away from the cloud so I feel like the approach of "don't touch the cloud" is all you really need to know to not approach it. I dunno, to me complaining that it's visually ambiguous feels like complaining that Sheik's Teleport dust cloud is ambiguous. She covers herself in dust, and yeah, you can't see her for a second of gameplay, but do you really need to to understand how the move works?
I think they have him rotating 360 degrees in 1 real-time frame at that point in the animation for some reason

Honestly the move should probably be changed to just be a regular looking-ish swiping command grab animation, and if it hits it makes a dust cloud before spitting the opponent out. And then the whole dust cloud can be a hitbox with no hurtbox to hurt opposing teammates in doubles. I know Taz already has a command grab, but this would have different utility in doubles, and the inability to hit Taz during the dust cloud hitbox would be balanced by the fact that you have to hit a (presumably difficult) command grab to activate it. (Also, isn’t that how the dust cloud works in the cartoons ? He starts attacking something, and THEN he becomes a dust cloud?)
It confuses me how instead of a giant ball of dust, it could have been a medium-sized tornado. That way people can actually get an idea where the hitbox is supposed to be while staying true to the source material.
Style over substance I guess, besides he has another special that is a tornado. I think it just needs better clarity in the edges of it, and increase the hurtbox because for the life of me you just can't hurt him in that mode

The least they could do is a secondary darker colour that matches the hitbox of that move It’s a cool idea but not for a regular attack or would work so much better as a super move or final smash similar to wario man
