Tough to watch this as I just put my cat Dante to sleep this past Memorial Day weekend but wanted to give Dave a thumbs up for sharing Boone's passing with us! It's great to share the good times like Dave's new baby but so very important that we share the bad as well so that we can support one another!

This is the fourth person i know whose dog just died. 😢

I know how hard this is. I also my dog this year. It was difficult I cried. I did rescue a new dog three weeks later which I was not sure if was to soon but I feel in love plus I think truthfully I just knew it was the right. I did worry because I didn’t want to replace her but, maybe it was just all in the right time. I guess you just know. My sending all my 💞

Boone waited for Augie to come, so they could get well acquainted, and he knew all was well! People like us consider our pets family. Others throw them away like trash. Last night I brought home a new baby kitty to join my old man kitty! His mother was left in a box at the no kill shelter, & delivered for kittens a few days later & much earlier thàn she should, & passed hours later. A girl in the apt above me works at the shelter & brought the kittens home to foster. I met all 4 kitties when she was bringing them home, but fell in love immediately with 1 of them. He got fixed yesterday & was released to my care 4 hrs later to adopt. I swear my old man kitty has suddenly got 5 yrs younger, & they are both feeling each other out! If you get a new pet down the road, & you will, adopt, don't shop! I would have taken every dog & cat home with me if I could! 😭😭😭 Big hugs to you both! 🫂🫂

Dave & Tasha, you honestly should be so proud of yourselves for the amazing life you gave Boone. There are so many people out there (I am NOT one of them) that would give up the second they had to start putting diapers on their dog. You took the dog on walks in a carriage! You carried him everywhere and Boone was there waiting for his younger brother to come home. Sometimes dogs know more than we do and I think Boone just wanted to meet Auggie and tell him he loved him and to let him know he was in great hands, then went to the rainbow bridge. I cry with both of you. It’s heartbreaking to lose a furbaby. They are like our children. You have so many amazing memories to share with Auggie as he grows up. ♥️

I was not ready for this!!! It's so hard! My heart is with you guys. I lost one fur baby June 6th, 2019 and the other October 31st, 2020. I miss them so much. It's amazing how much unconditional love they give us and that love stays with us even after they have crossed over the rainbow bridge. I believe with all my heart that we will see them again someday. ❤
