You haven't heard this style before? You haven't heard Babymetal or Broken by the Scream? They call themselves Kawaii Metal which is the term Babymetal invented. These girls actually sound a lot like Poppy. Who is an American who was influenced by Babymetal.

They wrote this song as the closing theme for Grendizer U, a giant robot anime that starts on the same day as this PV. This anime is a reboot of a work from about 50 years ago, and is very popular in Europe and the Middle East. I think the elevator scene and the factory-like background were probably inspired by that. It's the image of the boarding process into a giant robot.

10 years ago (2014) @thedocofrock1890 said it in the comments. One little note is to watch Miku NOT play guitar here, that fun. She couldn't play at all when this came out. Kanami needed another guitar for her to be able to expand her writing. Miku stepped up to the plate and said I'll do it. Kanami began teaching Miku and the rest is history. In a few short year Miku had a Zemaitis sponsorship and has become a great rhythm guitarist. Miku (The Queen) is my hero. Good Stuff....Thanks!

the funny thing is that the year before this mv in 2013 they had an entire cd 'maid in japan' that failed to chart and the band almost folded the tent. but their label gave it one more shot with this mv and it blew up big time on youtube. weird as it seems ' maid in japan' was a really good cd and it's my third favorite behind 'domination ' and 'just bring it '.

lol I think the Tom Morello feature is a lot more pointless than this feature. Also this song is from 2019 and the kami band has played it multiple times so you can go and compare if you want. In my opinion Tim and Scott played this way better obviously because it's a song that was written partly with them and having their style in mind when creating the song

Easily one of my top 5 BABYMETAL songs. I still prefer the performance at Budokan 2021 for sound and atmosphere.

I'm very surprised you didn't know Tim Henson and Scott Le Page did the original guitars for 'Brand New Day'. That was in 2019 - Fox_Fest was the first chance they got to play it live together. They weren't just invited on to play whatever random BABYMETAL song for no reason. They are from Polyphia (Texas based Prog band) and they played their own set at Fox_Fest earlier in the day.

I was so moved that I cried then at the venue... I am now a fan of Polyphia.

Tim and Scott from Polyphia are two of the most creative and talented guitarists out there now. Granted, their work on this track may be more subdued than their own songs but what they play perfectly matches the mood of the song. There are lots of subtle things on this track that other musicians can't easily replicate. BND has been performed by both the Japanese and Western Kamis and I assure you that they did not do a better job.
