My English father had a Panther before the war I think it was 600cc, he often talked about it, he had a sidecar it was a really nice one but when the war started he sold it because there was a petrol shortage and he went into the services Royal Marines, he didn't pick up his medals but my mother sent for them and got them, my uncle had a Panther as well, he was drafted into the Durham Light infantry and was sent to Dunkirk a disaster but he did survive, however he remained in England after the war, they would have liked seeing this video what a grand restoration.

I live in Bavaria now, stationed in germany. I found out recently I can ship motorcycles for free with house hold goods. So looking at Facebook market around here, I find about a dozen of old bmw motorcycles for very reasonable prices, like a 1928 r52 for 5000 euros ($5000) in what looks like the same condition as this bike. If these are so rare and desirable, why is it so affordable in the used market today? And how much can I flip it for in the US?

If you guys still got these it would be awesome to see an updated video with a bit more quality and you guys going in depth on the bikes explaining stuff. Knowing its been 13 years since you posted this a lot can happen in that time. If yall are still around and the bikes are still around it would be awesome to see them again.

If this was a wartime bike it would have been painted in field-grey rather than black unless of course it served in North Africa in which case it would be beige

The Wild Ones, Easy Rider, Then Came Bronson, The Three Stooges ( scenes where they were chased by motorcycle cops) and a friend of my dads who rode a 1967 Moto Guzzi V7. Also Steve Mc Queen in The Great Escape and On Any Sunday. Been riding for 52 years now. Got 3 in the garage and shopping for an EVO this spring.

I had a 250 Max, from a business perspective they got it wrong , as they were so well made they rarely needed spares. The Japanese sell vehicles at about break-even and make the profit on spares 😂😂

Look great my grandfather had a 52 and he loved it dearly. He was almost killed on it in 1967 he always said it was his fault. He’s buried with a picture of it.

Of course, as an old German motorcyclist, I had heard of RUDGE, but what these motorcycles really mean and what they can do on the road, I realized only after producing a few days ago this film about a Rudge Special (1930). Absolutely, beautiful bikes, love it!!! But if I was building it, I would have to put some suspension on it. wouldn’t want to break my back 😂

Perfect example of spot-on reproduction. The only thing I could notice out of place is that your mirror mount has a longer vertical arm which makes it mount towards the center of the handle bar down turn. A good example is here: czcams.com/video/7eGVTmrPKOY/video.html Not knit-picking, just kind of noticed the difference since it's one of the things people see most in the movie (the handle bars)
