I would love this as a holiday home but i would miss home and family and friends to much and would want my children to grow up around family and friends in the UK.

Really exciting! Having gone through this process several times myself I was caught up in your emotional journey. One thing I would suggest though - Sweden is full of beautiful little houses by lakes. Keep looking - if that is your budget, then you will be able to find your actual dream home here. Beautiful!!!! I missed out on a balloon ride for my 40th due to weather in U.K. I have always wanted to do one in Egypt over the Valley of the Kings. I’m not well now but I’d still love to see the clouds beneath me. Getting in the basket may prove challenging!! I would be very anxious about it falling. Mmmmmm……

Ive lived in Sweden for 25 years. Thiugh I live in Gothenburg we have a stuga as well. As people have mentioned, ask around in any area you are considering about how the mosquitos are in the summer. Our stuga is by a lake and there are some mosquitos, but it's bearable. Other areas are impossible! Wintrrs arent too bad if you consider that exotic. If you dont like the cold, then they are norw challenging. Sweden is a lovely country and jn my view the general standard of living andnquality of life are much better than in the UK. However there are social issues, dodgy politics with the right-wing parties currently leading the pllitucal dialogue. In general people are very accepting of Brits, but I have known people who have moved to the countryside and not felt welcome in the local community. Personally I have never regretted moving here. I adore Sweden and would never move back, but as with anywhere, it is worth knowing that it are some issues to think about. I hope you get to spend some more time here and test it out and enjoy the beautiful Swedish countryside.

During the early sixties I lived and worked in Naples and that provided an opportunity for many day trips to Positano. Met many "interesting" people. Haven't been back since and from what I see on the many on line videos it seems Positano now is a tourist trap.

Have to admit that after 27 years living in France, I was feeling a bit pessimistic about the situation at the Peugeot dealership. Customer service (outside of restaurants) can be a bit rubbish - and from experience we've not had the best service from Renault garages. But then again, I live in the Paris region. So that probably changes my outlook. Great that things got sorted. Playing the baby card won't work for us now, son is 17 and very big and tall, daughter is 13. Make the most of it. LOL

Hi I like you scotish video, We are from NZ.having traveled in Scotland and the rest of the UK in campervans and vans ,freedom parking several times for months at a time,and have always found nice places to park. as you said respecting the country side and the people is number one .offen I have my own ,rule where we park I collect any rubbish I find and remove it . thankyou for your travel videos
