⭐ About Travel Beans:
Hello and welcome to our channel! We are Alex & Emma, a British couple who have been exploring the world together for over 10 years - from backpacking to vanlife:
2012/13: We both embarked on our own solo backpacking trips through Southeast Asia, where we would eventually meet at a hostel in the mountains of Thailand and begin traveling together. After a year and a half of backpacking around Southeast Asia & Australia, we returned home and to the corporate world!
2015: Travel Beans was born and we filmed our first videos on a road trip around Europe with friends! This was our biggest trip yet.. and you can go back and watch the entire adventure because we filmed ALL of it! This trip took us through Russia, Mongolia & China, on the longest railway journey in the world. Followed by highlights such as staying on a local island in the Maldives for a month, going on safari in Sri Lanka, couchsurfing & hitchhiking in Korea, seeing the snow monkeys in Japan, island hopping in the Philippines, trekking 60km through the centre of Myanmar, exploring the Indian Himalayas, and checking out some of the incredible US National Parks.
2016: Despite an unbelievably memorable year and a half of travels, which we were incredibly grateful to have had the privilege to experience.. we found ourselves in New York City, battling depression. At this point, we decided to go home and confront this problem head-on.
2017: After 6 tough months at home we decided to go away again, but this time with a goal in mind.. to turn travel into a lifestyle. We left the UK with just £500 in our bank account and a dream to make a continuous travel lifestyle happen! We both got online English teaching jobs to be able to fund our travels and to keep creating videos. We can't quite believe that our younger selves decided to take this plunge but we are so grateful they did as we are still on this journey today!
What now?
Over the years, we've discovered that we LOVE road trips and even decided to renovate our very own little VWT4 van into a campervan to be able to enjoy vanlife and spend more time on the road. We are now the proud owners of 2 awesome little campers - one based in the UK and one that we keep in the USA. You'll often find us using one of these vans to explore Europe and North America. If you enjoy this kind of content we'd recommend checking out our Italy Road Trip series, USA vanlife series and our Japan in a Tiny Van series as well as our UK vanlife content.
Our time spent overcoming depression has influenced our outlook on life dramatically! We are now traveling the world in search of what makes us happy. We love sharing the highs and lows of our trips through our videos and hope to spread a little positivity and light to all of the beautiful people who take the time to tune in and watch each week!

Actually, the Cliff Dwellings USED to be a REALLY neat place to visit back in the day. When I was a little girl my grandparents would take me there (mid-1980s) and it was NOT what it is like today. Back then you didn't have to pay to go see them, they hadn't been ruined by someone else's ideal of what they thought they should look like, and they didn't have the other touristy crud there. I was livid when I took my own kids there once thinking they would get the same experience that I did, and saw THAT.🤬🤬🤬🤬 There was nothing on the front, it was open and you could see the various rooms and use your imagination as to what they were used for.
noone wants your newsletter you two are slacking.we have a baby oh no we cant do anything now!do you realize by now both parents would be at work for 8 hours and a 4 hour comute

A guy covered in tattoos saying “I’ve done way dumber stuff than this” and then telling Emma to go ahead and puke is the best part of this video.
I agree. I wanna see a video now abou that guys story 😆
They couldn't have asked for a better partner for her for the video drama. He seemed so opposite of Emma's nature.
hahaha
Classic
I agree! That was fabulous!
Now, you guys - including Noah - can LEGALLY use the term "This ain't my 1st rodeo!"!!! And, Emma, that line on exiting the fake museum, "Well, THAT was shit!" was absolutely PRICELESS!!! I CAN'T believe you actually jumped into a CANYON... are you MAD?!?! Your "buddy", though, was hysterical!! I loved him!
And, I can't say goodbye for awhile without commenting on just how ADORABLE Master Noah is, and what fun it's been to watch him in your arms watching EVERYTHING around him!! Please don't be gone too long!! I NEED my Beans fix!! Even in Portugal!! ENJOY!!!
It isn't illegal to say the phrase but i do understand the joke.
Your baby is the perfect testament to his parents' demeanor, chill, kind, observant, peaceful. Good on you, Noah!
How can you tell if a BABY is kind 😂😂😂
Emma’s canyon jump partner made my day! ❤
The advantage of the recreated ruins means it's a learning experience which leaves the real ones safe from damage.
As an American I also find rodeos disturbing. They do seem cruel to the cattle. As an Iowa farm who raises cattle I'd never do that to our calves. Safe travel across the pond.
Yea, it's kinda like bullfighting but on a lesser scale. Unnecessary cruelty to the animals. If you want to show off your lassoing skills, do it on a fake steer or something.
If you think that is bad, I won't tell you what they do to the cows down the line a bit.
Wait till you see what they do to cows so you can eat a burger……
Honestly, they aren’t hurting the cattle at all. Education helps you enjoy the rodeo
@@nanachick05 No, being lassoed round the neck and having the rope pulled tight, nah that wouldn't hurt at all. Maybe you should get someone to do it to you, see how you like it. Also terrorising them by chasing them on horses, that's fine isn't it.?🙄
Emma the guy sitting next to you on the canyon drop was 'hilarious' what a guy. Loved the rodeo, interesting to see how cowboys did their stuff, all competition really. Emma you coming out of that museum and telling everyone that is was crap was so funny too. Have a safe trip home.
I love how Noah is taking it all in. 😊 He looks so alert.
To our friends from the UK, thank you for visiting Colorado!
I have problems listening to Mr. Bean while the little Bean is starring at him and the camera.......he is soooooo cute.
It’s a pleasure to have you all here! Love how Noah has been so chill throughout the Colorado adventures! See you again when you come back! ❤️🙏 take care!
I’m a Colorado native, born and raised. I use to live in Colorado Springs, CO. 7 falls is far better at night, with the falls all backlit with beautiful colors.
Now I’ve been in Switzerland for 15 years.
Nothing like the big Colorado blue sky!
I hope you enjoyed my home country of the United States. There is no other quite like it. We can now leave you with an American term used whenever you have to do something that you have done before, and that is "This ain't my first rodeo". Happy travels, Travel Beans!
Kind of a grumpy episode (I guess you were ready to go home at that point) but much appreciation for guy on the ride who was kind of amazing in how he was trying to be supportive in his own unique way.
Baby bean during the 7 waterfalls acted like he was complaining right along with dad.. Sooo cuteee ❤
When my brother, sister-in-law and their son joined me on a holiday in the US in the mid 90's and we went to Bryce Canyon and they had a small rodeo there we had never been to one before so we couldn’t miss this, it was just across the road from the hotel. At one point they had children Mutton Busting the sheep. Great laugh and experience.
Noah's face😄 when you were being a negative Nelly at the waterfalls😂...it's like he was mocking you...whah whah whah dad!😂 ❤it!!
That guy could not have been a better character for this!
As a native Colorandan… your British view on the Colorado was fabulous 😂 your humor is great and I appreciate! So many amazing people and places to see (that you don’t need to pay for) in Colorado! It is a beautiful place. Thank you for the laughs!
I am now subscribing
I still can't get my head around the fact that Emma spent her first 12 years in the states. She seems so British!
I swear Noah was either talking or mimicking you guys when you around the part when Alex said it's not lost on us that we are tourists complaining about tourists (at the 7 falls park) OMG his lips are moving and making shapes like different words.... too adorable!!!!! Safe travels back and I can't wait to see what you get up to next!
Thank you for taking us with you on your travels. So pleased that you didn't have any unplanned dramas. You did so well with Noah! He is a natural traveller!
Kids adapt.
They had one drama months ago when their RV caught fire.
I love seeing all of the places you go that we as Americans would never go! Hahaaha. As a kid on road trips my mom would always have us stop at these crazy roadside attractions. Great memories! I'm very excited to watch your move to Portugal!
OMG, Emma don't ever let him plan your adventure.
A barbecue induced foodgasm 🤣😂🤣😂. Go team Beans!!!
IMO rodeo's are cruel.. also, Michigan has better waterfalls. Lol😂. Love u guys. Safe travels
My 12yr and 10yr kids did that ride at Cave of the Winds. I couldn’t even watch them do it. Hats off to Emma!
You guys love the U.S., well, the U.S. loves you too! Many Travel Bean fans in the U.S. (myself included)!! Safe journey home, and we will look forward to your return!
5:59 Right on cue, the lightning flash filling the horizon really underscored Emma's point about the weather. Hopefully we get a future video on Al's "handsome stranger". 😅 Glad this visit to the US was relatively problem free and the next one isn't that far off. 👍
The guy on the ride with Emma is hilarious! LOL
When you come back you must go to Palo Duro Canyon near Amarillo, Texas. Sign up for breakfast in the canyon and take the canyon jeeps down. It’s a bumpy ride, but fun. Also, while there you can see a play, Texas, that college students Star in. Lots of fun. ❤
Emma, as a Colorado native American I’m interested in foreigner opinions of American tourist exhibits, with your opinion on the ghost town museum please give us your honest opinion don’t sugar coat it
That baby is adorable! The way he was watching his daddy!
Well to bad your time is running short. Glad you 3 had a wonderful time. Look forward to when you return. Best wishes on your journey home..
I think you should have an adventure in Canada - we've got awesome sites to see, especially the mountains in British Columbia.
I'd suggest trying a rodeo again, as there's much more than the team roping event. It is a competition, whether little kids riding sheep, barrel racing, roping or bronco or bull riding. Keep in mind that roping was needed to secure calves and keep them safe. They aren't strangled, and while it may not be fun for them, they aren't harmed and are promptly released. The horses are also trained to assist.
If all you saw was calf roping you really didn't see a rodeo. Colorado used to be really nice before all the people from back East and the West Coast moved here not so much anymore!!
Not a fan of a rodeo 😕... I feel so bad for the animals! Great video.....can't wait to see what you guys do next!
Sorry to see you go but looking forward to your next adventure with cutie Noah.
That rodeo was horrid. I felt so sorry for them. How is it even still allowed!
It is now outlawed in many countries. Horrific.
Then you don't want to know what the ( men ) do to shaved Orangutans strapped to chairs in Africa.😲
It was disgusting to watch! I actually think it shouldn't have even been included in the video
@@flynnstone3580 not being disgust and I'm sure you are just full of it.
Oh wow! Emma you're so brave! Way to go. And thank ya'll so much for sharing the visit to the Manitou Cliff Dwellings. I've been to Cave of the Winds and Seven Falls, and the train to Pike's Peak a couple times, but I was always curious about the Cliff Dwellings; now I know not to bother. I recommend visiting Mesa Verde, which is a few hours West, but definitely worth the drive if you want to see authentic Cliff Dwellings. Maybe you can see it next visit. Thank you so much for sharing your adventures with us Beans.
I was just overwhelmed watching cutie Noah watch his Dad do his underwhelmed speech!! 😂 Love you guys ❤
I completely understand about Seven Falls and you're correct about it being private land. The original owners of the lands also own one of our more historical hotels, The Broadmoor. Also, they're historically relevant to the settlement of Mantiou Springs and Colorado Springs.. Just a FYI.
"Go ahead!" "I've been puked on before!" 🤣
Mate, if you want sloppy food, the city of Rochester, New York (90 minutes from Niagara Falls) specializes in something called a Garbage Plate 😂
Went to a local rodeo in Wall, SD. It was an absolute blast and great family event. Families and children "competed" in all kinds of event (mutton busting). Toddlers even were involved. A fun slice of Anericana. Much more enjoyable than professional rodeoing.
Another great video. Love your honesty on places, that museum did look shit 🤣🤣. And the rodeo was horrible, so pleased you guys thought the same. 👍🏼👍🏼
I just finished watching.
Nice job Emma , that was quite a morning rush for you. The guy sitting next to you was so funny and nice. Glad you had a great time here in the US. Safe travels beans ♥️🤗
That was the chillest dude. Exactly who I'd want next to me if I ever decided to do something like that.
Tnx for showing us the beautiful and the bad/fake of the USA😉
Little Noah's admiration for his Dad is priceless. I can't wait to see you back in 🇧🇫 Homesteadding😊
Greetings from 🇿🇦
“Well that was sh💩” that was hilarious
I'm an American that does not like rodeos because they seem cruel. To be fair, I didn't grow up in the cowboy culture, as I am from a university town in Michigan. I'm glad that you enjoyed your time in Colorado. I enjoyed your videos.
Seven Falls is beautiful around the Christmas holidays. They put up a beautiful light display that illuminates the falls and you can do night hikes!!
7 falles used to been free....create
In April 2014, it was announced that The Broadmoor had purchased Seven Falls, with plans to reopen the park in 2015. The property had been owned by the A.G. Hill family for 68 years. The Broadmoor re-opened Seven Falls on August 13, 2015.
Makes my heart sing to know you that you love our beautiful state! You weren't too far from me in Manitou. ✌️
In Rochester, NY we have a version of “The Slopper” called the Garbage Plate. It is famous in this area. It is home fries, French fries, macaroni salad, baked beans and the meats of your choice. You can choose from hot dog, burger, cheeseburger or Italian Sausage. It is topped off with Nick Tahou’s meat sauce.
Very entertaining video 📹. Sending you on the next one. Beans 🫘 🍛 out.
I was so impressed that Alex pronounced Pueblo correctly 👏👏👏. Im sorry he tried the Slopper. I think would've enjoyed the Colorado State Fair Rodeo and the concerts with big name stars. I could've gotten you in for FREE!
Safe travels!!
Rodeo is a uniquely American sport. Ranching on a large scale originated in the US. The skills a rancher needed resulted in a competitive event that is only matched by a Lumberjack competition.
Loved this one! I know you weren't too keen on the Rodeo, but had you stuck around, you could have seen the bull riding, which is the most exciting part of the rodeo. That would have been some amazing content for you to share! There are a lot of amazing things to do in this massive country of ours and so glad you guys have been able to get out and experience it. Seeing the real America, away from the big cities is the most rewarding part of visiting this country!
Rodeos are cruel.
@@BlissfulDee yeah, so is late-term abortion. Which is more cruel?
I agree, bull riding is awesome, as is the barrel racing .
no, bull riding is also horrible and unnecessary
You guys have just got the touring down to a tee! Videos were excellent and excited to see further trips 🙌
fun to watch guys can't wait to see what your up to next
Thanks beans! Enjoyed the ride.
I laughed so hard my cat ran away on the part Emma was on the ride! That guy was hilarious! 😂❤
Great adventures! Love seeing your little travel bean! He was really watching his daddy when he was talking! ❤️
Another amazing video. Safe travels back to the uk and onwards. You guys are a breath of fresh air every time. Can’t wait for the next instalment. I’ve subscribed to your newsletter and look forward to your new online store. Best of luck
Awesome video and thank you beans for taking us along with you looking forward to the next adventure 🌄
Safe travels home. Thank you for sharing your adventures.
I've been looking forward to an upload from you two! Finally!❤
yaaaay!!!! emma! waaaay to fly across a canyon!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 happy to hear you had a great time in our usa. enjoy being home. continued travel mercies and blessings.🕊
Love your videos and adventures! Hurry back🤠! AG in Denver
Glad You fell in love with Colorado Springs, Colorado and the surrounding areas, Manitou Springs, Cave of the Winds, the Cliff Dwellings, Seven Falls and Garden of the Gods.
Thanks for sharing your adventures Beans! Best of luck on your new adventures with Noah!
Beans we love you! Congratulations! Big hugs
So happy that most of your adventures here this time were good ones. Looking forward to seeing you back again for the next experiences. Take care
I have absolutely loved this series and knowing it went so well for you guys and has spurred you on to go back and do more states is lovely. As always, good luck for the next adventure!!
Glad you guys had a blast this time! Can't wait to see the next adventure!
Another great video Beans! Noah is SO CUTE. I love how he seems to be checking out the camera in most scenes.
Sad to see you go. I really like that you acknowledge indigenous Pueblo peoples historical replica of dwellings. I notice other CZcamsrs don't even acknowledge the existence of the rich indigenous culture history. Thank you for sharing your adventure with us.
OMG! Congrats on 300,000 subs! Favorite channel ever!!! Can't wait to see what is next! And we get a newsletter! My day has been made!
From Nebraska our summer vacation were often Colorado. I remember 7 falls from 40 years ago. Owned by old guy who had indians dance and very basic hike to see falls with lights. Different experience today . Can not believe there is even a restaurant at bottom of falls. If you can afford the food. So loved all your videos of Colorado.
I think the underwhelming experiences are because you have traveled the world seeing absolutely spectacular sites. Anything less is underwhelming.
I want to thank you three for visiting my beautiful state of Colorado. I was glad to see this trip was a great journey. I look forward to seeing and watching of your next journey.
So nice to see you guys enjoying yourself.
It's so much fun to watch the three of you running around in my backyard!
Yaaay Beans! Looks like you’ve had a ball this trip!
Like you, we love America and are heading back this October for the first time since COVID!
A week of fun in the sun in Florida, just what the doc ordered as I’ve been working waaay to hard and need some R&R!
Look forward to your next adventure, thanks for taking us with you!👍😊👏👏👏❤️🏴🇺🇸
Love your travels 😊
Oh, I just love the three of you! I have been giggling along this whole episode that you released today. And that Noah, what an angel. You’re gonna have to come back for longer to the US next time! So much to see and do and we love having you here in the states!
Great to see you all again, I'd dipped out for personal reasons and glad to be back! You guys look awesome too!
That ride looked like such fun!! You were such a good sport about it.
Have a safe trip home, thanks for the awesome content! Love the gentleman Emma sat next to on the ride!
Great video!! Loved Emma’s free fall and her partner. So funny! Moral is getting big already, so cute! Have a safe trip home!!
Thanks so much for sharing and keeping in the US honest. Safe travels.
Good luck in the next chapter, guys 👍
I’ve loved your USA tour and Emma you’re looking so good- Motherhood suits you!
It is so exciting that you are moving to Portugal and I admire your USA Adventures ❤
Just wanted to say that I love your videos guys! Always so uplifting when I'm in a shitty mood 💞
Great video, took a lot longer to watch it all as I kept rewatching Emma’s swing in the canyon at the beginning!! I’ve not laughed so much 😂brilliant!! And the guy with tattoos 😊
There's lot of real cliff dwellings. Cliff Palace in Mesa Verde is the largest cliff dwelling in the US.
