Engineering is definitely a focus at Cal. However we were told Cal engineers come out with too much focus on academics they are pigeonholed into designing needs. UCLA would be more well balanced with more social skills t market products after the design. Is it true lots of SC firms support clubs that promote engineering designs ? Cal has more government funding for research while UCLa has private funding?

I was accepeted in both for a PhD sandwich program and I went to UCLA. The academics there is super high, I really enjoyed my research time there at UCLA.

I just finished my 10th grade and was confused whether i should take up science with psychology or science with math for the next two years. After watching your videos, I'm pretty convinced to take up cognitive science as a major in college. I would really like your insight on this and a little help about taking up either math or psychology will be great!! Love your videos.

I have been doing my private research on Cognitive Science since 1997. I have thought-provoking findings. I need a co-founder to finalize, establish, register and record these findings globally. I'm a Psychology major, and 90% of this video is what I'm already studying. I decided to double major in Neuroscience so I could fully understand human behaviour from a biological perspective. If I want to go into tech, I have the option. I'm currently working in clinical research, but I'm heavily interested in law. Great video!

If UCLA is easier than UC Berkeley, it is better to go to Berkeley since HR will hire the more motivated student at UC Berkeley. When I was at USC as a graduate student, I just don't have time to socialize at USC.

This Berkeley girl was mostly lying. Berkeley is not a bad as she put it out to be. I was laughing listening to her lies.

If I want to major in Cogsci, how should I prepare for things like EC, Awards, and AP? Can you give me some tips on preparing for college admissions?

I believe Cognitive Science will depend on what university you attend and it's program and overall school ranking. Someone who goes to Berkeley and studies Cognitive Science, can pretty much receive the benefit of the doubt, and land any job they want as long as they can learn another applicable discipline through a minor or self-study. This would not be the case for Cal State Fullerton or UT-Dallas student.

I feel this so much. Dikit lain sih krna I was born in the US (and I've only been back to Indo once lol) but honestly, I've always loved being a the "representative" for Indonesians here in the US! I spent the majority of my childhood (in California!), and as the only indonesian I knew, I made sure to bring all the homies to restoran2 Indo. From joining PERMIAS to even telling people that "Sumatra Coffee Beans" are from Indonesia (getting past the Bali only stereotype!), it's always been my side-calling heh. But anyway, thanks for sharing your story!! Continue to be a leader in Indo-Americanness :) Your indo is also lancar banget LOL, mungkin lebih lancar daripd anak2 inter di indo hhh. It's great that you've been keeping it up!

I took history, arts,businesses studies, higher grade math, English in high school I don’t have any science would I qualify to take cognitive science if all those subjects are above 80 percent 😭?

Thank you two for a very honest and fair comparison. My brothers went to Cal, and I went UCLA with two summer sessions at Cal. My daughter is currently attending UCLA, which now offers guaranteed dorm for 4 years. 🎉Yipee~
