Did she really just say they want to reboot the series? Again? They rebooted it with Craig's era so hard that it is legimate to say it has little to do with what Bond was before. And now another reboot into Bond 3.0. or what?

It is(was) an excellent review. Not offensive and a call for raising and maintaining standards. But I can understand why it is just too much for some audience groups

Considering the genre, and genre expectations, girls cannot have more developed dramatic roles, so majority were really forgettable, for me, not-huge-007- movie fan. Octopussy is/was great, and older villain from Russia with love. They are somewhat more complex, but I do understand why Pussy Galore was important.

I do think Tom Hardy is/was probably the best choice. At least, that is what it seems. At least, this choice is different and it maybe proves unexpectedly great

I am not a football fan myself, in Boarding schools I played Field hockey and Lacrosse!

I don't know man, I feel like you were a bit harsh on the Spectre opening. Granted it was CGI heavy but for it's time that was a pretty cool single camera follow. I remember thinking it was amazing at the time. I agree it got a bit silly once the single camera ended.

Love The World Is Not Enough, i've always said it's Brosnan's best. I like Goldeneye but have never understood the praise it gets. 😁😁

Timothy dalton should of done a 3rd I think he was a terrific bond he was daniel craig of the 80s bond movies

I would argue that both 'The world is not enough' and 'Skyfall' do have a serialised element as it helps that the M-Bond relationship has had the two previous films to develop so M being endangered makes more impact [and TWINE also has Valentine return from Goldeneye]. M's judgement being questioned is a plot line that actually start in Quantum of Solace [such as the scene with the Foreign Secretary] but you certainly can watch the films as stand alones.

Still cannot believe no announcement as yet who is the new bond and when it starts filming

Kathyrn Bigalow has recently announced a new project for Netflix after a quite period. I'd love her to do a Bond but at 72 she's a decade older than Martin Campbell was on Casino-currently the oldest director. I've probably mentioned it before but there was a lot of buzz about 'The Night Manager' director Susanne Bier doing Bond in early 2016 and unusually she said she really wanted to do it [when most traditionally playing it cool to any Bond links] but that ships long sailed [she wasn't mentioned as a contender when Danny Boyle dropped out only 2 years later in 2018]. It would be interesting seeing a female director although sadly it will get nonsense comments online/in media.

Yeah the Vimeo videos on TWINE should inspire you as its rare and never been officially released, but the uploader has loads more than you think. so please check them and all the others out, but its quite alot i'll admit. I'll be honest I dont look or sound my best in the 'Really 007' video as it was very last minute, but it'll do. Take care of your self and please PLEASE check out Beverly hills Cop as it is the 40th anniversary this year of that movie, along with many other wonderful movies from 1984. and that was the biggest movie of the year and Steven Berkoff sadly says some not so nice things about it which is a shame really....but not surprising from him All the best ;)

Rebecca Ferguson said recently she left MI for other projects and not being offered much to do for MI 7+8 which was a real shame as I love the actress+ the character. She didn't rule out a return [despite the events of the last movie!] and I'd have loved a spin off for her as she seemed prime for a 'female Bond' style film/show [certainly more than Jinx was!], maybe with Simon Pegg along for the ride, but I doubt we'll see it [I do wonder if last years Gal Gadot film 'Heart of Stone' might have started life as an Ilsa project given it's made by the same production company as MI and Tom Cruise apparently shot down a proposed MI spin off TV series for Paramount+].

Carey Lowell was one of the most proficient Bond Girls ever. Really excels in the role. Gorgeous too. LTK benefits from a lot of freedom e.g. scant involvement of Whitehall/London, none of the M or Moneypenny overload, only a modest reliance on gadgets. As it is "America" based, Bond is unshackled, a bit more human. I would imagine Dalton would have been a great fit for Casino Royale, even though DC gave an absolute tour de force on debut.

36:23 Actually those aren't the only times that happens in Brosnan's career. In an episode of Remington Steele, he does it to Laura Holt when he thinks she's been killed.

In my opinion, for whatever it may be worth, the only problem with "Funeral in Berlin" was that it compared unfavorable not with "The Ipcress File", but with another recent spy film which dealt with a similar subject and locale, only did it much better, namely "The Spy Who Came in From the Cold". But then, of course, that film was based upon a much better story by John le Carré.

Even if you are offered to do 4 samurai cop films and earn 12 million for them in todays money and you are unknown actor, you are STUPID to not take that offer. Even if Ari Gold would tell you to not take it. And those were JAMES BOND movies he was offered to do. I like OHMSS but that has to be one of the quickest rises to the top and equally quick fall for any actor. And the stupidest career move ever in motion picture history. Even stupider than George Raft passing many star roles in hit movies that Bogey picked up after him.
