You should try the Zebra help desk. Once the settings are configured in the ZSU, they should remain set. The label data can contain code that can change the configuration, but maybe there is something else doing it as well.

Intune is completely different, not sure how it works but I think you can use Stage Now to help with enrollment.

You can remap buttons, you would need an application that can act upon the press of the button.

Wavelink was very sticky and did auto startup very well. There are files in Application/StartUp you could check to remove or rename, but Wavelink also used Registry files, so Startup may not work.

Test getting a small file in the browser on the TC21 or from a PC. Or call the Zebra help desk if that does not work.

I believe that one is the ZD620. The current model would be ZD621.

The problem is the file size over cellular. You need to get the file to the device. Either pull it from FTP or HTTP, or use a SD card or thumb drive depending on which device. Then use Stage Now to install the file.

Interesting question. I am not sure. You could post the question to the Zebra developers Portal, developer.zebra.com/. Or call the help desk and they may be able to help with that. I would have to think the scale or scanner would need to send the data. The scanner could be set up to scan to the Cloud and then it could get processed and sent to a printer, but not sure about the scale.

Yusuf, calling the support line would be my first suggestion, support.zebra.com. If you default the DataWedge application, Profile0 can manage the scanner. In this case if it is defaulted, whatever is in focus will accept the scanned data. So if your courier app has a field that is in focus (meaning you could type from the keyboard in this field) then when you scan a barcode that barcode data will go into that field. The only reason it may not, is if the type of barcode you are scanning is not defined in Profile0. You would need to make sure it is. The default DataWedge configuration has a lot of common barcode symbologies enabled, but not all.

Sorry for your frustration. There are inexpensive options for Software Only support to get you to the latest version for the devices you have. Be aware, some devices sold second hand are assembled by third parties using non-Zebra parts, there is a chance an update may not work anyways. Unfortunately these OS updates go through extensive Security and Validation processes which have a cost behind them and therefore unfortunately cannot be free. They have to meet the high standards for Zebra Hardware products. You may be unaware, Zebra has a program to re-furbish old products so they do not have to be e-wasted, and customers can purchase those old devices that have been validated by Zebra, so that customer with existing older devices can have access to similar devices running older versions of the Android operating system. Some probably still run on Gingerbread.

Nice free alternative to Vysor, used with ADB. No application on the device and will work with multiple devices simultaneously. Runs an .exe in the background showing technical details about your connection. Resolution, speed, etc. can be adjusted as needed. Default resolution works great and all ADB commands are available (ensure your ADB drivers are up to date). The label print area would have to be designed to print on a round label, the media would have to come out on a roll. But, yes.

If you take the datawedge.db file off a device that is set up how you want it, put the file in the /sdcard/ path of the device, and when I scan the StageNow barcode it copies it to /enterprise/device/settings/datawedge/autoimport/datawedge.db. The the new device has the setting from the other device.

@@symmoto If you're already connecting the new device to transfer the file why not put it directly into /enterprise/device/settings/datawedge/autoimport/datawedge.db? I thought the whole point of stagenow is so that you don't have to connect the new device to the computer you just have to scan the barcode. I'm asking because what I'm trying to figure out is that when I scan my stagenow barcode it tells me that the source URI is invalid so I'm trying to see how I messed up the setup of the stagenow barcode

This really only works when you use StageNow for enrollment. Using another method will not work with StageNow. There is a new setting where you can set the WiFi with StageNow and then use your EMM enrollment method.

If you buy fan fold labels, they can fold themseleves after they are printed. But I do not know of a way to fold labels that were printed from a roll.

Some types of barcodes are configured not to send leading zeros, but it can be configured to send them if you want. It is an advanced rule.

Joe, sorry but not sure, I know WS1 just a little. But, possibly if you are enrolled on A as a DA, maybe sending down a new json for B as a DA would work. Best to check with VMWare.
