Come be my copilot as I give you a peek into my life as a professional pilot flying the Gulfstream G-IV and other corporate jets, as well as my adventures as an aircraft owner flying around my Beechcraft F33A Bonanza. How I Became a Gulfstream Pilot at 21 YEARS OLD
Very excited to be sharing with you all the story of how I ended up in the cockpit of the G-IV! Did I make a mistake spending everything I had on a type rating? In most cases this is frowned upon but I caught a few lucky breaks and it propelled me to the next step in my aviation career. If you’re hoping to become a contract pilot, I highly recommend getting a full time job and experience in the type first. Unless you have something lined up prior, paying for a type and trying to find work with zero time in type will be next to impossible. We talk about all this and more while Brad and I fly the G-IV from Henderson, NV to San Jose, CA! I hope you enjoy this one as much as I do.

I wish the qualifications back when I was flying were as low as they are now. 250 hours twin with 200 turbine and I was no where near qualified for any flying job. Road blocks kept coming up so I had to go a different direction. I miss flying so much.

Trying to understand why the P180 didn't see more commercial success. The performance seems to be top of the line. Any owner/operators care to share? They used to fly overhead on a daily basis here (charter operation used them heavily), now I almost never see them in the wild.
I’m moving to Henderson next month to finish flight training with CFS at KVGT! I’m in the accelerated professional pilot career program at CFS! This is EXACTLY what I want to do!! Thanks for the vid👍

When everything is going well, the machine and the weather, everyone is a great pilot. What separates the great ones are the ones act calm and composed under stress. I've known a great pilot who got mad at me when I flew in a private jet for a company business trip. He would not trust 2 things, helicopters and private planes.

Nobody should be flying biz jets at 21, except as an SIC, at best. Teterboro LearJet.
Just 10 years ago, neither of you would be sitting where you are. You both had breaks but you are both benefactors of a pilot shortage in a buoyant market. Make hay while the sun shines. You are correct, Owen. It is difficult, even in this market, to get contract work without 500 hours on type.

Are you saved by Jesus Christ our Lord and Personal Savior and King? It’s when you accept Jesus Christ into your heart as your personal Lord and Savior and your King and you know that you sinned and you asked for forgiveness and you confessed with your mouth that Jesus is Lord of lords and King of kings and you believe in you heart that God rose Jesus from the dead three days later and Jesus is seated on the right hand throne of God making intercessions for us and everyone every single day.
