"this air freshener didn't hang itself" 💀
Hahah you like that?!? I choose air fresheners very carefully
@@wheels_down love it man shit had me cracking up
Hahahaha I cought that one too
🤙
🤣😅 Saw the air freshener...
I had to rewind to see if I was seeing things or not 😂 calling things out without calling things out.
“it’s all about who you know” perfectly well said Tommy!
It’s the truth!
I am a 700 hour pilot and fly SIC in a G400. Living proof you can do it with less than 1500 hours. NETWORKING!!! The best pilots don’t always have the most time. The best pilots are the ones that put their heart and soul in it and let others see their passion and dedication.
Help me I have 750 hours help me I have 2 kids
@@mehdifarzinamin4090be literate and professional
Owen is 23 people! I don’t know his backstory, but what he is doing is amazing regardless. I get the sense that I would feel absolutely comfortable flying with Own on any aircraft to any destination. He is buttoned down and serious about what he does and it’s all based on merit. Good luck and keep it up Owen.
23 at the time of the video or at your posting of his age? And I was curious about that. Just started watching hinge a few of his videos a couple days ago about the Piaggio p180.
@@pwibarb3439 I believe that was his age at the time the video was made, but either way he’s in his early 20’s. I get the impression that I wouldn’t hesitate to fly with him as he appears to be very serious and highly competent.
LA to Nashville is probably the most travelled route for music artist and anyone associated with the industry. I live in SoCal and worked for a company in Nashville for years and every flight was like a school bus full of people making that trek.
Thank you for boosting my motivation I have CMEL IFR with 780 hours I was thinking to give up kinda lost in aviation for not having 1500 cuz I got rejected from many places but after seeing this video I decided to keep going even though I haven’t flow for many months
Thank you Owen
Thats insane! Youre clearly qualified. In the meantime, airlines be like "BuT teH PilOT shORTaGeS! Same thing with my industry too (energy). I have 17 years experience and cant get hired in-house to save my life. Been 1099 forever. 😭
100% "networking" ! Great points made by the guys here. Like they suggest, I immediately got a job at an FBO in Nashville while doing initial training. It was all about building time any way I could. I met a lot of corporate pilots who were CFIs and begged them to take me along anytime they could. I logged a lot of free training hours that way and I loaded bags, filled ice, or anything they needed, and was happy to do it. I continued that to get any experience available. Those guys brought opportunities and introductions to others in Nashville that helped me a lot. The average guy can't afford the hours they want, but there are ways to get hooked up. I did. Great video guys, as always !
Fantastic information and insight into the kind of attitude a young person with dreams of being a corporate pilot needs to know!
Can never underestimate the good karma that a willingness to work hard and do what it takes to succeed without being a complainer or making life hard for others by not showing up will get you.
This was a very Inspiring video guys!!! Great job!
Its great to see a couple young guys sharing how they got to where they are and advice for others to get there as well. Really cool video guys!
Thank you for watching! Appreciate the kind words
in every aspect of life it’s who you know and the connections you meet, takes you way further than talent! Great video
That's good. Excellent. A good pilot is always learning and networking. This is the way to all jobs in different industries as well. Thank you for posting.
Thank you for this. It's encouraging to hear! At 400TT AMEL CPL IR, the light seems so far away! I'm grinding a full time job, and picked up part time FBO work to get networking. Also - learning a TON. (and its fun!)
Good for you Owen! It's these types of channels and you putting in the sweat equity that shows the next generation the possibilities. I took early retirement as an engineer at 48 to fly 182s for Forrestry at $15/hr part-time 🤣Flash-forward 7 years and now a Captain on Lattitudes for an awesome Part91! Life is Good!
I still have the will to fly, are their any pilot's willing to have a one on one conversation
with me to get me started in the right direction
Tommy is sure happy, sharing experiences to youngsters. Make sure you enjoy it too, life is full of possibilities.
You’re one of my biggest inspirations, I’m 15 working on my ground school right now, hopefully I’ll be in your shoes soon!
Hey, sounds amazing i also want to get into aviation where do you life/where are you doing your licence?
Great video and it reminds me of how I started my career....working at my local FBO fueling aircraft of all makes and models including 727 charters that came through. Got to hang around with 'working' pilots' and learning, learning, learning.
This job, to get a discount in flight training, started in my senior year in high school.
New to the channel and like what I see so far. Nice to see driven pilots! Head and shoulders above other channels
Awesome vid. Well said about the part knocking out limitations before you go to school. I'm off to Falcon school in January and have already started memorizing limitations and emergency procedures. Looking forward to my second type rating!
Great crew you guys ..... feeling great on the short ride in the video .. Thanks enjoy your time off
I like the air freshener
One fine career path, Owen! Great video!
Keep it coming bro. Always loved your insta stories
Just love these videos! Thanks Owen!!
Love the air freshener😄. Excellent Information and encouragement. Thank you and smooth landings. Greetings from KSJC.
You guys are really fantastic. I love watching your CZcams channel. Keep up the great work.
Thanks for watching! Much more to come
Another great video!! I can't believe I missed this video!!
Another banger
Mad respect for you guys. I’m on my way to atp. I had no idea how much work it would be. It’s the most rewarding work I’ve ever done, but man is it ever a lot lol. Cool video.
How is it so far? I have my ATP admissions flight lesson this Saturday
@@CSchaef02 Prepare to work hard, ATP is a different beast than other flight schools. Spend your time in the TC with other students when you're not flying, get your written tests done early if possible.
Great stuff guys, wishing you every success.
Thanks so much!
I’ve got my commercial check ride this Friday, then CFI, FII, Com multi, and MEI in the following months. As someone who would rather not instruct for hours, this video is encouraging. My goal is to do what I can to make payments on school loans, and hopefully not have to instruct all the way to 1500. Thanks, guys 🙏🏻
How was your CPL check ride, brother? I passed my PPL check ride on Monday, hope you passed yours.
@@Bodom92 I passed :D
@@Bodom92 congratulations!
Bro with that attitude please don’t instruct. I got screwed out of thousands by an hour builder. All we did was fly. I had zero ground knowledge when I went to an actual school with 30hrs. When you become a cfi you will have students. These students need you to teach them, so they can fly safely. You seem to have had a good instructor. Why do you think someone deserves your shit instruction? Btw you don’t need all those add ons to build hours.
@@DirectFTNSS thanks man. Congrats to you too 💪
Thank you guys for the explanation regarding Job oppurtunities
Great video! Thanks to share with us all that info, I´m waiting for my PP License. All these dreams must be One hour at time. Blues skies and tail winds, greetings from México.
Hey u just had my first solo last week and love the Channel hopefully I see you guys one day throughout my travels
Thank you for sharing your flying...
“Doing it for fun”. Right on.
this is my dream job. one day i'll achieve it, thanks for all the information guys!!
Great video and providing REALTH TRUTH!
Really enjoying your videos!
Im 23 and just started flying earlier this year, hoping to do this some day. Also love his happy dad hat im a fan of the nelk boys as well.
It’s not always what u know but who u know sometimes. Solid vid!
And WHO know you!
WHO knows YOU!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 That air freshener just killed me in the beginning! Loved it!!!
Great Video!! Very helpful. I just finished all my ratings and have 500 hrs. I am really hoping to get hired into a charter company based out of Toronto! I know one of the senior captains there and he said get your ratings done and he'll try his best to help me out! very exciting. Just build my resume yet.
Great advice. Thank you.
Met your Captain at KGYR over superbowl. Nice guy! Hopefully will be flying private or charter soon! CFI life is a grind.
Great video fellas
Loving to go back and watch these videos I’m subscribed to all you pilots from Matt to gear down oh and tag gear down lol but keep these videos coming
Thank you for watching! More to come
Great video gentlemen ✈️
Living the life love it !!
Outstanding Thank You
My man, Owen! Happy Holidays!!!
The first most important qualification is that you have a passion for aviation which Owen has if he soloed at 16 years old. I would also add however that most pilot gigs are not this glamorous especially if you're a pilot flying cargo for a company like Fedex or UPS. It can get monotonous and you can begin to feel like a high tech truck driver.
Great vid!
Pretty smooth taking off 👌 ❤👍👍!!
Start procedure and checklist was cool to see
Excellent guys!
Thanks for watching!
2:06 Love your air freshener. That face through me off for a sec. Now let's skip back and listen carefully.
At first, I thought “there’s no way they’re getting to Nashville with 4900 pounds of fuel“ 😆. Clearly you guys repositioned and fueled up somewhere else. Great video. All facts. Networking is Key! I tell people the same thing.
Great insight gents🦾
Great video man!
Thanks for watching!
Awesome bro!
Super cool!
Man that’s awesome. I’m jealous. That would be a bad ass job to say the least!
Mark was my mentor 20k hours ago. I have no words for this.
Thank you!
Love the Air Freshner!!! 🤣
I always wanted to be a pilot, don’t know where I got sidetracked. Now I’m sending this to my 18 yr old and I pray he watches it. Thank you.
Do everything you can to get him an introduction flight. It’s an amazing career. I’m currently pursuing it and I’m close to his age. So much opportunity and not enough people. My father waited till he was 46 and got his license with me. Best decision he and I have made.
@@rootbeer9908 Thks. His grandpa flew a bonanza for yrs before losing his medical. Offered to pay for ppl!! But he wants to work instead. At least he not lazy, but I hope I never have to tell him “I told you so”!
Sup bros a pilot here not I. The USA but Africa had a good job b4 covid lost it due to lay offs having a tough time getting my groove back and finding a job after having numerous failed businesses. These videos give me life
Go get it man, all the best!
LOVE THE EPSTEIN PIC,,,,BRAVO
Epic!
Super cool Owen! Thanks for a great video. Makes me want to fly again!
Yes. Then long hours and a comment from a hard working pilot. The money for the long hours some of my passengers do I would retire and have different life?
Very reassuring CRM! Always look for a very quick talking pilot that communicates with " fire in the hole" and "hit it" while pounding the control switches like a flipper machine! Is it only me or are others also sensing some hilarious " Con Air" vibes here? LOL
I am 33 right now and would love to start flying. Not for a profession but definitely as a hobby.
Owen, Tommy, Another great video and the one I’ve been waiting for - background on how you got into such an awesome jet! I hoping to do the same, planning to complete my Commercial next month and looking to network…so, know PC12 or King Air Part 135 Ops looking for a pilot? Need to build some turbine time! Get um coming! PS You are my only sub with notifications turned ON!
its all about the Attitude...“It is your attitude, more than your aptitude, that will determine your altitude.”
You guys Rock!!
Thanks!
WOW very cool guys!
First time seeing jet pilots without headsets, was unusual to see but you two are super professional and love what you're doing.
LOVE The Air Freshener !!! 😆
Great video. Nice plane$$$I drive over the road(46 years) Always interesting to see what other people do for a living. 👍👍
Thanks for watching!
Excellent
Thanks
Owen is very professional, little wasted effort.
Great video .... what are your thoughts about purchasing a used GIV regarding performance, maintenance, reliability, and associated costs ?
very cool!
I love your air freshener!
The sunglasses who makes them? Love your videos. Keep up the great work
Enjoy all the vids Owen
Thanks for watching!
I am a retired police officer, 52 years old. I always loved aviation, before I was a police officer, I worked for TWA in South Florida and worked at Signature.
I have my ppl and multi rating and still need to get my instrument. Under 200 hours but with my age, I am assuming even if someone needed a pilot in a king air my age will be looked at ??
Thank you for doing the Q and A guys, thanks for sharing the video.
These days in private aviation insurance gets hard once you hit age 67-70. That being said Total Time requirements for pilots are increasing on the private side. You're probably looking at 3000TT with 500 Turbine 1000 PIC minimum for a King Air captain position.
that mutual friend of yours.. judging by how cool all of you guys are, must have been Matt :)) I subscribed to this channel because I know Owen as the frequent N367HP passenger ))) Keep rocking guys
Thanks for watching!
The secret formula is you gotta know someone. It works that way everywhere in aviation.
Great videos guys, i cut my teeth in 91/135 went to 121 for 35 years flying a 777 for AAL. Now im back in the 135 world having a great time flying a CL605 or as i say. A cessna 402/404 on steroids. Next month heading to a GIV. Keep the blue side up and safe.
Awesome! Congrats on a successful career.
New subscriber and I absolutely love this stuff, and you guys are great! I am a private yacht captain from Florida and handle very private deliveries, or re-positioning’s for high end companies or clients, and a lot you talk about, and pre-departure etc is somewhat the same, but I definitely couldn’t do what you do, that’s why they keep me on the water, not in the sky! Networking, yea, if you could ever use my help from a yacht standpoint, give me a shout, and interested if you are allowed to charter the jet if ever asked, or is it private? Keep up the great videos, love the technology stuff !!! Capt Steve
Hi guys! Loved your video. I'm retiring from the airlines, NOT done! Very excited to get in to a Gulfstream. I'll buy my type. Thinking G450/G550. Will be looking for contract work. Totally agree with you, have a good attitude, network, and just get out there and meet people. If you have any advice for me, please advise!
Take care, and really, you guys need to chill out! Just kidding!!! Fred
If you can... you two need to fly an old school 23/24/25 Learjet. This will put you both on your toes. Love the air freshener. 😂
Great video! Make more! my bell is on!
GET IT!!!!!!👍
How does performance planning work in a G4. Do you go for best speed or max range; and how you find the best combination of both?
that would be an awesome job!! love the air freshener!
Great video with valuable info on how to make it in the aviation industry. Pilot in learning here, older timer, former flight attendant with AA. Looking to be all in in aviation. Should you need a flight attendant, a personal valet, someone to clean your plane, while I build my flight time and gain experience as a pilot, please call me, seriously!🛩
I got my ppl 2 months ago and I’m debating about whether to go to the airlines or fly Gulfstreams. Really gave a lot of good information.
Airlines and business can both fail. Airlines and business jet all have different routes aircraft types and the people you work with can make the difference
I designed the Fuel system for the G150, and I am also pretty sure that the said refresher didn't hand itself...
0:37 that air freshener tho 😂
