I'd say unfortunate news, but I know with your ethic there's no point in being negative. You'll prevail, embrace it. Perhaps the UK will bring a streak of luck and no struggles, or at the least happiness. Hope the pup makes the journey well and care free. Mines not so large and also emotional support, but that doesn't get everything. My Yorkie Kava was in my car for the 8 hour ferry ride on my adventure. Only time she's ever spent a night alone in almost 6 years, and not to mention up and down the swells and boat noises the entire trip. She was sure excited when dad opened the car door. Didn't seem stressed just tail waggy to see me. I'm now closer to settled in a small older house right on the shore of the north Atlantic in the small town in spent the first 4 years of my life. Told to take the place and keep myself dry and warm, pay the light bill. Plenty of firewood. After a week and 4800 km in an old Monte Carlo we got here to leaky pipes, frozen busted toilet, burnt water heater elements usual house issues left with no heat for a year. The east coasters went to the hardware store got a pipe cuter, fittings, lines, new chimney flute for the wood furnace, new tank elements and even had a damn toilet delivered. I threw on my coveralls grabbed my toolbox from the car and we go. Couple days later they've gotten me a stppove, washing machine, table, sofa, my television is finally back on, and Kava is sleeping like usual snuggled in my bed. Only an air mates for now but these guys have a bed coming. Still not done unpacking, but I'm home. Told to stay and keep the place up. No complaints from the neighbour's the elderly owners said, don't want to be bothering them with noise..lol will do nothing but have respect for what they've done. nice to rest and be home, let alone on the salt water where I always dreamed of being. Throw a rock, it makes a splash literally and don't even throw it hard. Also, I mentioned make sure we keep track of what I owe, she said darling the receipts is gone that's no worries. Then we cheech and help the guys in the backyard with some lobster pots and start trucking before too long. Need to pay these people what they deserve, not what they're asking. Hopefully your still cheechin along before too much time and can have a positive experience to build from. Much love

Illegally can stay, welcome to Canada, born and raise there served in the military for 10 years, I left 20 years ago I moved to Japan that's freedom. No regrets!

We have been in contact with 4 MP's, our local Mayor, First Nations Band, newspaper, lawyers. Many of our friends in the local community have done the same. Our local MP (Todd Doherty) has just gone into some kind of protective custody for some reason and is now uncontactable. They all said they would try and help, only one ever got back in touch despite us following up, said there is nothing they can do. Basically they wont stick their neck out and put their job at risk for 'nobodies', helping 'us' wouldn't get them any votes. If we were in a built up area with a large UK expat population things may be different if you get my drift. As in the people you see on the news getting this help are only ever from these kind of communities (whatever race or creed). Unfortunately most of the 'help' offered is only offered if there is something to be gained from it. Just a thin veneer of kindness. Even the lawyers don't want to work against CBSA as they work outside the law and with no oversight. We don't have anything going for us that would win a case, or is compounding enough to do so. The biggest realization you get from all of this is just how little anyone cares, and in the grand scheme of the world we really aren't anything special! I get it, its just frustrating to loose what you have worked for over such trivial matters. We'll be back, much better informed and wont make the same mistake again! Luckily you guys care about us, that's why we appreciate you all so much!

Is there anyway you can try for asylum here being you now are being forced out of your home country all over some clerical error? I mean it seems ridiculous they are being so harsh over a minor error you followed everything the way you thought you were supposed to its not like you lied, evaded, didn't report etc.... would you have any interest coming to the States? If so let me know I am in Michigan and wouldn't have a problem seeing if I can help you out to get in.
@@thahitman2 The US has certainly crossed our minds on several occasions, the fear would be jumping out of the frying pan and potentially into the fire! We have done everything by the books so far, bar one mistake, we're just trying to comply in a bid not to ruin future relations with Canada. Its a difficult one, my heart tells me one thing and my head tells me another.
