- I needed to store some clothing and other bulky items and I didn't want to spend a lot of money on expensive vacuum bags, that don't last long anyway.
So this was my cheap diy vacuum seal solution to the storage problem. This will mainly work as a diy storage for clothes.
Bags I recommend, Unscented and not treated with Odor block.

Amazon links are Affiliate links (these help grow the channel, every purchase gets me a small percentage of the sale) It costs you nothing though.

Question? Why no scented?
@@nena_366 Because the scent will come onto your clothes
The tape packaging and hole puncture at the end is the solution I was looking for. Ty very very much.
You're welcome.

What does the dryer sheet do?
@@nena_366it will make whatevers inside smell good and since its vacuum sealed the smell will stay there. by the time you reopen whatevers inside will smell fresh.

Glad it helped!
Superb... definitely going to try and then give u feedback
Please do. I have some that have been stored like this for a year. Still holding strong. Although the more tape you use the better, I don't think I used enough in the video.
thanks. cheers
You're welcome hope it helps.
Thanks a lot ...
Most welcome!
You think i can do this with a handheld vaccum? Or will it not be powerful enough?
Did you ever get a chance to see how long can it stay fully vacuumed this way (not counting the hold by the tape)?
No, I didn't but I doubt it would last much longer then a week.
after twisting could you tie it up before you tape it?
I don't see why not. Definitely easier to do with two people.
Gotta try this...How long will the seal last before it starts getting air in...
The initial seal doesn't last long couple days to a week depending on the type of bag and how tight you spin the opening. The tape part lasts for a very long time, I had one for two years before I needed it again.
Good job...thanks...@@unmatchedvalue
When you take them out do they automatically puff up?
Yes mine did. Although it might depend on the items you're using.
Can u use zip lock
I don't see why not, it should work. As long as you can seal the bag quickly.
not the best way.sorry
If there's a better way, please share
