    It's "stop multilating babies genitalia" until the discussion is about intersex babies

    • @fuzzywzhe
      @fuzzywzhe Před měsícem +4

      Intersex children are rare, although they do exist. As I understand it, it's often a result of them being a chimera - that is, that the pregnancy started out as "fraternal twins" of different sexes, that combined to make a single individual. When the developing embryos are both the same sex, it's not noticed, but if they are different sexes, it can create problems, but not always. We can genetically test for this now.

    • @DemiSuaton
      @DemiSuaton Před měsícem

      @@fuzzywzhe Chimerism isn’t even related to being intersex. Intersex traits are: Hormonal imbalances, genitalia/genitalia appearance that don’t fit into the male and female binary, sex hormones, reproductive organs, and etcetera (that don’t fit into male and female binary). Please do research on intersex variations because this information is harmful, and normalizes the mutilation of intersex individuals.

    • @DemiSuaton

      @@fuzzywzhe Chimerism in humans isn’t related to being intersex, nor is it the cause of intersex-people with chimerism are observed not to have any intersex traits. Not only that, but the “connection” of chimerism and intersex is the concept of a “human hermaphrodite” (hermaphrodite is an outdated and misleading term, often used as a slur against intersex people), which is extremely harmful to intersex individuals. Intersex traits are: genitalia, reproductive organs, sex hormones, physical features, hormonal imbalances, and etcetera. Intersex traits are sex traits that don’t fit into male and female binary, or the “typical” binary for sex. Please do more research on intersex variations, and mind you, chimerism is NOT one of them. Also, if you’re going to talk about intersex individuals in this sense, bringing up that they’re rare or anything of the like isn’t doing you anything. And please listen to the intersex community, because what study did you find this from?

    • @fuzzywzhe
      @fuzzywzhe Před měsícem

      @@DemiSuaton Of course it is. It's just one aspect of why people end up intersex though.
      The claim that people who are chimeras NEVER show intersex traits is just flat out wrong. You're incorrect about that. I can't be more blunt than that.
      Stop with this John Money crap. I'm tired of it. The man was a complete nutcase who had terrible postulates that he himself proved to be incorrect, and yet he continued to push his PROVEN incorrect beliefs as correct.
      Don't ask ME to do more research. YOU do some. Why do you think I know who John Money is? Do you know who he is? I'm not at all ignorant about this area. Psychology is EASY, I did it as a hobby when I was studying engineering - that's hard. I'm in a hard science discipline. I'm not in one of these fake soft "sciences". Newsflash any transgender activist claiming that transgender women are women and transgender men are men most certainly does affect your womanhood. It is an insult to biological women to claim that a transgender women in which 80% still have their male penis are women, and claim that a man can have baby and ignore the genetic/biological fact they are biological women.
      The fact that you were born with XX chromosomes, a vagina, a female reproductive system and went through female puberty is a biological process that occurred to being biological female which is not linked to gender identify.
      Humans are linked to their genetics/biology which is why Samantha experience male puberty.

    I love when people use classics like Frankenstein in everyday conversation because the irony in Candace calling Dylan "frankensteinish" is alluding to the fact that she sees Dylan as Frankenstein's monster, as that is how people commonly use the word; however, one theme of the book is that the real monster is Victor Fankenstein, not the monster (who doesn't really have a new but once refers to himself as Adam), because the monster has more emotion and compassion than its creator. The transphobes could really choose to use the "don't play g-d" theme to mess with us trans people, but instead they call us the monster even though that does not make sense in the context of the book because the monster is proven to be more human than Frankenstein. Even the "don't play g-d" theme really doesn't work because that only really applies to trying to create new life, but conservatives like to construe things to fit their narrative.
    Edit: Also, let's not attack people for being stereotypes and instead attack the stereotypes themselves. Sometimes, a few people in a group actually fit a stereotype but that's not their fault. Plus, a lot of trans people feel the need to try to fit stereotypes in order to feel more confident and fit in. That might be part of it, or that might just be who she is. Either way, the backlash is undeserved.

    Also I really get the feeling that Dylan is just being herself and acting similar to how she was before she transitioned. She’s not trying to represent all women, just her own journey with womanhood. I really think people just need to let her live!!!

      Well I guess it depends on what you mean by "underage". If you mean before puberty, yes that's true, obviously but the idiotic thing about what you said is that:
      1)Transexual youths need to take *puberty blockers* at the onset of puberty not after it.
      2)Puberty can take place as early as 9 in some children, and if there's sexual abuse it can take place even earlier. The youngest mother in the world was 5 years old. She was sexually abused and this caused precocious puberty resulting in an early pregnancy.
      3)Most people who are underage, ie 18/21 absolutely do take "hormone treatments" as puberty blockers stop the natural production of the hormones that cause puberty and then cross sex hormones are used in order to allow the youth to naturally develop like a member of the opposite sex since humans are sexually dimorphic (male and female look different according to their ethnic group and family, like no son is indistinguishable from his mother as an adult. Get it?)
      4)There are numerous documented cases of people under 18 who have had surgical intervention and even if that somehow wasn't the case, puberty blockers are irreversible depending when in the puberty cycle they start. Cross sex hormones can also cause permanent side effects. One girl whose case helped to close the transgender clinic in the UK where I live went through menopause as a teenager due to the hormones.
      I think people can do what they like but there should also be an honest, open and non judgemental debate about it.

      I think that’s part of why Terfs hate trans women; trans women often embrace femininity and they see that as a threat to what *they* think women should be. They see femininity as somehow “imposed” by men as part of the patriarchy and think women should reject femininity and be more like the radical feminists; i.e., less femme and more masculine. Trans women are a bad influence on young women in their minds. But they don’t realize that young women are embracing their own femininity as something to be valued in its own right. Women don’t need to be masculine or “non-femme” to be valued; nor do they need to be only feminine to be valued either. But old school feminists can’t let go of the idea that being stereotypically femme represents acceding to the patriarchy in their minds because that’s what they’ve been taught to believe. They can’t let go of the bifurcated dichotomy and think that to be taken seriously, one needs to be more like men; which is why they seem to actually be teaming up with conservatives, who also embody that type of black/white, either/or thinking (despite the fact that those conservatives would send them to concentration camps in a heartbeat if they could). I think Terfs should watch Legally Blond; they could see Reese Witherspoon play a character who embodies the blond, femme stereotype outsmart everyone. The reality is that both women and men span the gamut of traits and all are valid.

    As a cis woman who differs from the stereotype of "what a woman is" in a lot of ways, I think the "concern" cis women are expressing over Dylan feeding into stereotypes still comes from transphobia. And the easies way to see that is going to find cis women who are exactly like Dylan and seeing if they get the same type of comments. The answer is: No, or at the very least, rarely. If we want others to accept there are many diffent types of women, we also have to accept that ALSO include hyper femenine women who fit exactly the stereotype.
    The reality is that if Dylan was acting "masculine" in any way, she would be crucified, if she is acting "femenine" she is crucified. Samantha can look like a woman, identify as a woman but will remain forever a genetic/biological male.

      Weird, because last I checked cis has been used in relation to gender to differentiate between cis and trans people in acedemia for longer than every single person alive, but one and for centuries in chemistry and other things.
      Also, science has literally confirmed biology plays a major role in determining gender identity. Here is a direct quote from one of the most recent pieces of peer-reviewed literature on this...
      "There is a great debate in literature on the factors related to nature or nurture involved in the sexual differentiation of the brain. However, it is well established that biology plays a major role.
      Again for those in the back, or not paying attention. "IT IS WELL ESTABLISHED THAT BIOLOGY PLAYS A MAJOR ROLE."
      "Ask your self this question. Why did Samantha experience male puberty as
      oppose to female puberty?"
      Probably because being trans wasn't as accepted when she was going through puberty and didn't have the opportunity to go through the correct puberty. Something you're attempting to remove from trans kids now and force them to go through an unwanted puberty.
      "The fact is all humans are genetically linked to our biology/genetics even when it goes wrong."
      The fact is sex and gender are not the same thing, neither are a binary, both are linked to biology and genetics
      "Samantha can look like a woman, identify as a woman but will remain forever a genetic/biological male."
      Yeah, that's not how real life works. Maybe in your own little world, but the majority of people listen to science, not bigots.

    The problem with Dylan is that she’s doing an act but telling us it isn’t a character. She literally said in her Ulta beauty podcast that she does stand up comedy and her starting her days of girlhood “I was joking about some of the stereotypes of women.” So she does know that’s what she was doing but when anyone complained about the stereotypes she called them phobes and never admitted it as a joke. The question is, if dysphoria and transitioning is so painful why would you go online and make a characature of it. It literally makes both women and trans women look silly. And I just saw a video about How Dylan got “pranked” by a fake cameo request. (Not nice) But she was so mad she came out and talked about it as her true self, none of the mannerisms, voice shifts or clothing we’ve come to expect. She can live her life however she wants, but many of us don’t appreciate what comes across as a planned act. And in the past Nike had better athletic and true dancer trans sponsors. And to your boob comment. Yes, you have them and need a sports bra. Dylan does not. She doesn’t exemplify a need for support, athletasism, or even the need to work out as she is naturally thin. Remove the words trans and followers and what about Dylan makes her a good fit to sell athletic wear? Pretty much nothing. So yeah, Nike’s just using her bc she’s a famous trans. Not for talent. Not for athletic ability. Not for being a health leader. Just trans. I don’t think that’s right. Their previous trans advertisements were well done and show cased what trans women’s talents can be. U should look them up for comparison.

    I think you have a very nuanced opinion, pretty similar to my own and I was surprised that it was very similar to my own (as a cis woman). She is reinforcing stereotypes very heavily, and I think that it’s probably not her true personality, but a lot of the hate is undeserved and just comes from hatred. There’s a lot of people making fun of women for being “girly” and bubbly, and it’s even more so for trans women. It’s ridiculous. You phrased it perfectly!
    Also, imo Ben Shapiro is so annoying, she is so annoying. And tell me Candace Owens did NOT compare this to segregation and racism. I’m sorry…what? Oh my god, that’s so insensitive. Minstrel act?! That’s ridiculous. “Woman face” I’m going to die. I am going to pass away. That’s so bad. 😭

      Yeah I get that but I think Dylan is so stereotypically feminine is probably out of pressure, for trans people, we are pressured to conform otherwise we’re not real men/women. I think it’s more of a defense mechanism from being invalidated. This is just what I think as a trans guy, because the first year I was out, I tried being ultra masculine, like how Dylan is being ultra feminine. If this is the case, hopefully she’ll settle down eventually and not feel the need to put on a show, just be comfortable in her own skin. I know it took me awhile.

      When you claim that you're a "cis woman" what you're doing is erasing the fact that you are a biological woman. Cis means someone assigned female at birth which implies and ignores the fact the reason why you were born with a vagina, XX chromosomes, and a female reproductive system is linked to biology/genetics. In other words trans activist claim that assigning female or male at birth is a "social construct.' However, Samantha didn't get a penis as a result of a "social construct" Samantha got a penis, and entire male system as a result of biology/genetics process.
      Trans activist want to muddy the waters, and gaslight making statement such as
      "not all women can give birth, while ignoring the fact that ONLY women can, and the fact that some women are infertile does not negate the fact that those women have biology/genetics linked to being a female.
      No physician will run a series of test on a transgender woman claiming they can't get pregnant because it's impossible. However, a physician will run series of test on a biological woman claiming to have fertility issues because pregnancy and having a period is part of a biological woman's nature/biology.
