If you don't mind me asking, what is exactly happening with Lyon. Always used to root for you guys anytime I saw the Ligue 1 table.
@@stevenjoseph6048Coach sacked, players that just don't realise how important the club history is and that seems they just don't want to play (+ last year they heavily relied on certain players (Lacazette,...) and some other very important players left (Lukeba, Barcola,...))
In ever fm23 save ive done Lyon always goes through a decades-long collapse into obscurity. Maybe sports interactive knows something 🤔
@@stevenjoseph6048 Honestly it would take 3 hours to tell you. On the pitch, coach Laurent Blanc was completely washed up and we sold some key players (lukeba to Leipzig, barcola to PSG).

Try a polish team like Raków Częstochowa or Legia Warszawa. Both are big teams in Poland, and can be a nice save!
Lech Poznan has been great fun for me, I recommend the league and the club.

This was the club I wound up at in FM 23. There’s so much potential in all of those players. Hoping we can turn things around this season irl.
I absolutely love these videos they are always so entertaining, but I think it would be great if you could do a live cometary for the important games like the champions league final in this save, I think it would add to the experience a bit more rather than it seeming like the other less important games you commentate on. Other than that keep up the great work Tom

Maybe you could try Real Zaragoza. They were a top flight club and had lots of brilliant players (Milito brothers, David Villa, Pique) in the early to mid 2000s even winning a couple of cups but now they have been in the second division for many years although this season is looking like they might go up again

I don't even play FM i'm more into Fifa (FC 24) but I do enjoy watching Toms challenges on Football manager been subbed ever since I randomly woke up one night and Tom was on the Tv through auto play immediately was hooked and subbed for more. I've tried giving FM a go but my head was battered with it all aha... I'll stick too FIfa and let Tom do the FM.

Tom, how do I go about doing similar rebuilds? What sorta database do you run, and do you holiday forward? Watch games? Quick sim?

When you do these rebuilds do you go on vacation through to transfer windows or do you play every single game? If you do the latter how long does it typically take?
As a Lyon fan all i can say is thank you...
You should have done the ones who really fell down, like Bordeaux, Saint-Etienne or Sochaux

could you try rebuild fc basel?
last season semi-final in conference league but only fifth place in a hard fight against the Grasshoppers Club Zurich. And in this Season in the Conference League Quali, we goes out against a kazachtstan team an are in the league on the last place.
Basically I'm rebuilding AC Milan on fifa 12 with a challenging of keeping the ageing players like seedorf, ambrosi, inzaghi, zambrotta ect Nesta and Mario yepes retired in the 1st season but despite that we finished 2nd in the league and won the supercoppa Italia and coppa Italia at the star of the season 2 signed 3 big players Vidic arrived from Manchester United to fill Nesta void at CB Pepe reina came in from Liverpool to replace Abbiati as our new number 1 keeper and Kaka returned to AC Milan from Chelsea to fill the midfield void as we didn't have a decent midfielder who could do a job in the champions league.
Try making tactic with regroup and midblock, my soul cries trying to make lower table clubs succesfull with it

Lyon were never a giant. They had one good spell where they won all of the titles they've ever won in their history. More of an unusual successful blip than ever being a big club

7:30 so if you play psg and win it and it puts you top of the league. How come the league table shows you both on 5 wins out of 5.. I always debated the validity of these videos but now I’m sure they’re a lot of rubbish
