- In Episode 19 of Restoring Christine, we unbox and review a brand-new floor pan from firewall to rear axle, complete. We also take a look at a brand-new rocker panel, showing how it attaches to the floor. Is it worth buying a new floor outright or repairing in pieces the one that you have? Tune in to find out!

Man I thought you were a business but I see you're not you are jack-of-all-trades master of non like you said I was when I was younger but I'm having my 563 done right now I loved the way you did the trunk I wish I could have you through my trunk
When it comes to car stuff, I'm just a one-man band!
Hi Bill William here , doin 56 2 dr wagon . Floor and rockers just got here
A wagon! Should be similar. On the sedan, the floor pan went back to the axle tunnel, and then the trunk pan overlapped that and went all the way back to the tail panel at the bumper. My guess is that a wagon floor would be similar. And the rockers are probably identical.
Finally a video, that's showing the info I need. I have a 55 4 door Bel-Air. Both quarters are beyond repair. I drove to Sanford, Fla to Real deal steel, and got the same floor you have. I also have outer rockers. So I'm gonna change it to a 2 door. Also needs trunk floor, which I havnt purchased yet. Gonna watch all your videos when time permits. Just needing to know the order of assembly. I know I'm gonna need bracing as more panels and flooring and rockers come out. Can't wait to see more, thanks Bill!
I've got the trunk floor on hand too. I'll try to do a similar video on that too! Glad to be helpful!
Loved the vid
The unboxing videos definitely get a lot of air time!
I used one of these complete floor pans for my 1962 Impala. Only way to go.
Was it a modified tri-five panel or do they make one specifically for the 62? Someone commented about a year that was unavailable. Might have been 58.
Hopefully your channel will grow 😉
Thanks for the encouragement!
Like so far keeping it coming
Thanks! Trying really hard!
once its welded in paint it the paint on it will not last and will expose the recycle steel that will rot quick paint both sides well
Good advice!
The panel looks great. Has to be something different, dimples ,shape ,or missing something.
We'll find out when I install it. I'll be sure to point anything out that I find.
It’s a nice repair method but a lot of work. That car definitely needed a new floor.
Before sending her out to the blaster, I was practicing on the trunk floor, cutting out sheet metal and welding in patches. It was then that I realized that it was going to need a new trunk. But the floor was obvious. I found fiberglass sheets under the carpet and knew it was a goner.
0:00....1956 Floor pan.
Yep, and if you're interested in seeing it installed, that's Episode 30: czcams.com/video/1QHvbdSQtUE/video.html
To bad the Bastards don't make one for a 58 CHEVYS. 😡😡😡....
I was sure that they made one for the 58 but I came up empty when I looked. Why the tri-fives and the late-great 60s and NOT the 58??? No idea. Wish I could help!
