I bought Skoda Slavia 1.5MT over Volkwagen Polo 1.0TSI. Was it a good decision or bad decision?

- So 2 years ago I got this Skoda Slavia 1.5MT but now after 2 years I regret that I should have bought Volkswagen Polo 1.0TSI MT because I could have done so many mods on that car but on Slavia its little bit difficult to execute mods. So let me know was it a good decision or bad decision.

Feel of Polo cannot be matched by the Vag 2.0 cars but the 1.5 TSi engine is one gem of a engine and perfect for hills because of the torque it has and it is a 4 cylinder.
Yes broo but new cars misses out so much features that were offered in previous generation VAG cars.
@@Slaviaguy yes, simple features like one touch up and down for all the windows were removed, that robust feel of the interior panels is not there, that steering feel is not there, etc. New gen cars are good but thag pure german feel is somewhere missing.
But again, its more practical with huge ground clearance and especially the 1.5 TSi, its too good. People should consider 1.5TSi no matter what.

@@Slaviaguy true, with an aggressive stage 1+ XP95 tune close to 150hp is possible but with a normal stage 1 tune its somewhere around 135-140.
But again, trust me the feel of 1.5 TSi cannot be matched by a 1.0 TSi. I'm not saying 1.0 TSi is bad, just that 1.5 is better, the feel, the power delivery, the sheer smoothness, the negligible vibes and the ability to pick up speed without being aggressive is unmatched. On the hills, that 3 cylinder needs to be revved harder than 1.5 to stay in power band. Drive someone's 1.0 Slavia, you'll find changing gears more often.
For enthusiasts like you and me trust me 1.5 is a better choice.

A 100 percent clear and good decision. Can compare polo gt with something like i20. This car is way much better... can get an old polo for mods and love of drive cause they are the same for past 10 years...

Bro Taigun is a good car, I don’t know much about taigun but its brother/sister Kushaq doesn’t come with any problem like this because I have many friends who own Kushaq 1.0 and it is performing well. No issues as such.

Yeah bro sure. The alloy size is 17inches, Company name-=Pro Race you can get it in Infinity and Gmax and chinese BBS also because these all are same its a replica of Lenso Dyna Jagger. Price was around ₹42,000 in Delhi. But I will suggest that you should go for Lenso Dyna Jagger if you get it because its a good alloy and strength of that alloy is much more than these replicas and it will cost you somewhere around ₹80,000-₹90,000.

Since you are driving on hills, polo is a better choice due to shorter overhang and better handling. On highways, slavia(sedans) are always better at high speed stability due to aerodynamics. Yes, like you said tuning a polo gives you better power to weight and torque to weight than a slavia. However, to be techically sound, one cannot compare a polo and slavia as both belong to different category and classes. Polo doesn't give the space and practicality of a slavia. The buyers of polo consider it a second car primarily for driving and nothing else! I am owning a rapid tsi MT (stage 1 +) tuned and when I drove the slavia 1.5 (DSG) , it gave me similar driving feel and performance but the steering on slavia was lighter hence not much confidence on high speeds like rapid. If you do not need the practicality of slavia, then sell it and buy a polo purely for the better driving dynamics. For all other practical reasons, stay with slavia. For such questions you should be the judge since you know your requirements more than viewers. Cheers. Happy driving.

@@Slaviaguy. You can do on slavia too. The market is beginning to cater to the demand. Ofcourse the tune has not yet come on the 1.5 tSi, but as a start you can lower it (springs), add intake and exhaust, you already have filter, intercooler can be added etc. However you are right, not to the extent of polo, but you can go ahead and buy a polo from the preowned market anytime. If you are buying polo, then pls keep slavia stock.

Broo Polo if you are going for Virtus 1.0TSI and you don’t want a kind of big family car. Polo suits for 4 people and normal luggage and virtus for a family with good luggage. If you just want performance than go for Polo. It will cost less.
