The Toughest Village in Albion | Knothole Glade | Full Fable Lore

- On the Western Coast of Albion, the Island of Witchwood is home to dangerous creatures, the Witchwood Arena and the humble village of Knothole Glade. They thrive in the harsh environment with tough weather, dark pathways and aggressive creatures that attempt to kill them whenever they leave the safety of their tall wooden walls.
How do the villagers of Knothole Glade survive, how do they help the economy of Albion and which legendary Hero grew up within the village and ended up becoming the first female Witchwood Arena Champion? I went to the village of Knothole Glade in Fable and explored the woodcutters and their culture of slaying the vicious Balverine.

Been a diehard Fable fan for YEARS and wanted to always make these kind of videos to share with peopel! Thank you for putting these out!
I'm glad yo enjoy them! I'll continue to make them :)
I was disappointed when Fable 3 didnt have Knothole glade
samee
I feel like they could have moved Silverpines and just redid the layout to resemble Witchwood more. They didn’t really use the area for anything, so why not give it some nostalgia at least.
Fables always been weird with its geographic changes . When i first played fable 2 inwas so confused xD
I was disappointed at fable 3
@@coldsteel5841 why?
I think it was my first play through of Fable where I was using mostly melee weapons. When I got to Knothole Glade I really liked the type of culture it had. It felt like home now in the Fable universe. I went out of my way to hunt Balverines. So I found it funny when you find your mom was a Balverine hunter and was from Knothole Glade.
It was meant to be.
I fell in love with Walter in Fable 3, and while I'm not sure how extensive any stories on walter and his travles and such would be, a lore video on him and his relationships he grew overtime with the Hero of Brightwall and Ben Finn and Swift, ect!
I'll add them all to my list :P
@@Skyrionn Awesome! Can't wait to see more lore for Fable from ya, you are really amazing at it! 💙
Lore about Brom (I'm pretty sure that's his name, he was Scarlett's husband) and/or Scarlett Robe would be pretty neat. Or other heroes, such as Briar Rose or Twinblade.
I've added Brom to the list, thank you! I can see that you're working through all my videos! Thank you!
This guy IS fable
Keep up the awesome videos, Im glad youre doing Fable lore vids cause basically no one else on the internet is
Glad you like them! I really enjoy making them!
@@Skyrionn i can tell, and you're really amazing man please keep them coming, you have no idea the kind of itch you're scratching for me and hopefully more people out there, this game is absolutely my childhood I'd wake up early every morning to play it, the atmosphere it creates is one of a kind and I don't say that lightly.
Heck yeah boyyyyy, gimme that Fable lore!
The problem with the renown system was by the time I reached this location everyone automatically had little hearts above their heads
Great video, maybe you can do one on the YMCA statues(I forget what they're called.
I think they’re called the Oracle of Snowspire if I remember correctly.
2.05 am do i care no i dont love these videos thanks love from new Zealand
Wow! Thank you :P There's more to come :)
dude this series is amazing! I absolutely love Fable. Pls continue the great work!:)
Glad you enjoy it! I'll keep posting them, every Monday :)
Alsothe next lore one should be about Theresa or the sword of aeons
In the og game its does 540 damage in tlc does 250 in anniversary it does 230 i just want to know why how lol
Because they know it was too op and nerfed it each time
Probably what Syrus said - the sword was probably too over-powered, and in tlc, they didn't want a sword that would just kill everything instantly, so I'm guessing that's another reason why they reduced it.
These videos are a great reference for my dnd fable campaign. Really appreciate the detail
I’ve been a big fan of the Fable series for a decade now, and people like you are really doing us a favor. Thanks!
really loving these lore videos - keep it up!
Glad you like them! There's more to come!
Nice, you finally had a chance to do it! Good job, man :)
Yes! Thank you! I really enjoyed making this one.
Thanks for providing us with these amazing fable lore vids
Thank you for watching them!
Hell yeah, a new Fable lore!
Amazing videos ! Love Fable
Thanks so much! I'm glad you like them!
awesome job ! please do more Lore video ! (on other games!)
you have a french subscriber now
Such good memories. It was my favorite part of the game. So mystical and stunning. The rain made that level for me!!
Amazing recapture of Fable.
Absolute fascinating. Love this stuff!
Glad you enjoy it!
Aaand another great vid, i really miss the old days of this games
I miss them too. All we can do is replay Fable!
A really interesting video again 🙂
Glad you enjoyed it!
Fantastic video as always. Always been curious about the Solus Greatsword. Could never find enough information on it. That would be an interesting video if you can find material.
Glad you enjoyed it! I''ll add it to the list!
Great video like always, maybe you could do a video about the legendary weapons? You know like one about the swords/melee and another about the bows/ranged? Just an idea
That is a great idea. So good in fact, that it's already been suggested!
Another great video, if possible, could you do a future video in Bargate Prison? I always wanted to know the story behind that place.
Keep up the good work bruv...
Thanks, will do!
Please do the lore of Teresa! There is alot that it discussed in fable the journey, but I know many might now have played that game
This will end some theories in the discord
The knothole island chieftain of the enlightenment era is still the most powerful deity of fable lore
Love to have one big video with all the lore videos put together when there is nothing left. Just so I can listen to it for hours.
So a huge video with all the lore in one?
Skyrionn yes, when there’s nothing left I’d love them to all be put into one big video for those like me that just want a continues video on the lore. Maybe from the old lore to more recent events in Fable.
Nice video I'm glad I subcribd to you
Fable 1 & lost chapters were the best ones! Period.
There's a comment here that mentions Theresa, and that reminds me of Theresa in Fable II. The way she stands when she's idle is the same exact way the central Shadow judge stands in the during the Shadow Court scene, and that has caused a lot of fan speculation. Would you happen to know anything about why the central judge stands the same way, or do you think it's just recycled animations?
Edit: Never mind, reused animations was dismissed as "utter laziness" by a former Lionhead employee, Lionbum71.
Answered before i saw this :P
Did anyone notice there's a statue of the hero's mom in Knothole Glade but you don't find about her past after winning in the arena? Was that a plot hole?
I don't think it was a plothole - the people of Oakvale were maybe not aware of her past. Witchwood Island and Oakvale are in very different locations, really far away from each other too. So information may not have been that easily accessible.
I always thought it was a real disservice to the floor and ancestors of not whole Glade have them move to not whole island especially considering after moving to not whole island I ended up soft and weak you'd think at some point some hero would have come up with a way to magically repel the balverines from the city
I must say I was disappointed that they moved away too.
@@Skyrionn or at the very least it would have been interesting if there had been a party that had stayed behind. Would be interesting to see how it would have grown over time perhaps it would have gotten to the point like wolves in Britain with Balverines being hunted to Extinction
Do one on the ancient weapon in Orchard Farm
I can look into the lore behind the frying pan :P
Knothole glade is cool and all but Silverpine forest just sounds so much cooler
Silverpines were cool.
The Lore behind hook coast
That's a good idea :)
i dont reconize the statues of the weather!?!?!? is it something i missed in the game!?
They were in Fable II, during the Knothole Island DLC.
i liked knothole not my favourite town though
Watch at 1.5 speed. Thank me later.
It makes me sound like I have a fake British accent :P
