14:08 What to do with products that don't have any conversions
My team and I invented this strategy ourselves and use this exact strategy to start almost all our Google Shopping campaigns to get a good foundation before we scale them up to get results.
Manual CPC bidding means adjusting each bid for each of our products to tell Google how much we are willing to pay per click.
Why do you need to do this?
When you start your Google Shopping campaign, Google wonât have enough data to make the best decisions about what products to show, who to show them to, and how much to pay for clicks.
By using a manual CPC bidding strategy, you can focus on the products you want Google to show. These could include products that have higher profits margins, more sales or even if you have excess stock you want to move.
Weâve also included a template with some smart formulas that uses your conversion rate, your cost per click, and your profit margin per product to tell you exactly how much you should be spending for that product to break even and be profitable.
Youâll learn how to optimize bids manually, and weâll also show you a few Google Ads manual bidding optimization tricks.

All the best!
Wow! What a strategy!!! đ¶âđ«ïž This right here is a 40 hour a week job on it's own. Looking forward to my strategy call. đ€©
Thank you, Sam. It is awesome! I already saved this video and will go to your course.
Awesome, thank you!
This is fantastic!! Thank you man
No problem!
Hi Thanks for a video
What would be the best strategy for a brand new google ad shopping. If Manual CPC, what the 1st value we have to set and how much time we have to give google in orde to see first clicks. Thanks
Hi Sam, thanks for this great video. I tried putting in the data from one of my campaigns and noticed that one row had 320 clicks and no conversions, but the Profit Generated column is showing zero. Shouldn't it be negative? Did I do something wrong? Thanks!
Hi Sam, the google shopping bidding template I downloaded don't show the column of profit margin to fill it. It's right? Thank you for the course ! It's amazing !
Thanks for the great content. My brand is one product, in 4 size variations. The shopping campaign was working well until I started PMax campaign and then impressions died. It's already a low search volume niche. This leads me to a couple of questions for you:
1) The step about product group doesn't seem to work for me when I try to expand to see the whole list. If this a GA version issue or what you'd expect with a one product store?
2) Google support has recommended I split the products to improve performance the shopping campaign. Meaning advertise 1-2 of the product sizes in the shopping campaign and 1-2 in the PMax campaign. But I don't tend to trust their advice. What are your thoughts on this?
TIA đ
Hey Sam, why didn't you create these excel columns on the google ads with custom columns? Isn't it better?
Also I didn't get the CSV file. Checked the spam folder also.
Hi Sam, I love this manual bidding strategy. I need it, please how can i get it?
Hi. Great video! How can I download the Google sheet?
Finally!
Why donât you use automated bidding strategies instead or at least eCPC? I think on those days we should rely more on automated biddig strategies
What an amazing strategy! Tha k you for sharing it!
I'm however unable to receive the template... I've checked promotions and spam and can't find it, I've also tried to send it to myself again, nothing
Please advise
Try again. The link to download it is right after you supply your email. It's a big orange button.
Hey Sam, I noticed if I run manual and performance max campaigns(PMC) for shopping ads simultaneously, Google gives priority to PMC. and which Campaign do you prefer from these two?
It depends. For pure control and focus on the bottom of your buying funnel then Standard Shopping is the way to go. But for long-term growth and acquisition of new customers you're often better off making Performance Max work for you.
Somehow the template isn't being delivered into my email. And I am looking at the promotion section. Any suggestions?
Nvm got it. Found on the spam section. Thank you
What's your oppinion on making the bidding automatic?
Hi Sam, I can't get any link to download bidding template. Please guide
So sorry about that, here is the link: đ„ Manual Bidding Optimizations template †keycommerce.com/google-shopping-bidding-template
Bro went to gym before making this video đȘ
where can I get googlesheet template please??
Sorry for that, here is the link: đ„ Manual Bidding Optimizations template †keycommerce.com/google-shopping-bidding-template
Is this still a good strategy with Pmax taking over ?
Like a lot of things in Google Ads and marketing, the answer will be "it depends". It's still a valid strategy because some accounts are not a great fit for Performance Max campaigns. So for those accounts, Standard Shopping campaigns are the way to go.
We would like to work with you Sam
