Not even close. Tyree’s in Super Bowl XLII is by far the best hands down considering that not only did they end up winning the game after , but also pulling off a massive upset against the then undefeated Patriots. Let’s not forget the pass was on 3rd down and flew around 30 yards to Tyree This catch is no different than Carlton Fisk’s walk off HR in Game 6 of the 1975 World Series. Impressive ending yes, but ultimately pointless since Boston lost Game 7
@@RB01.10 bro what are you smoking that catch wasn’t as nearly as impressive as Odell’s Julio Jones catch in Super Bowl was a way better catch than tyrees

@@AWCTB Let’s be real here. This catch will always be in Tyree’s shadow for the impact that Tyree’s catch had overall. The stakes for that one were far larger than this one.
@@AWCTB Exactly, and Odell’s no matter what two ways you slice it unfortunately didn’t amount to winning the game. That fact alone greatly diminishes its significance, unlike Tyree’s which led to an upset Super Bowl win. A Super Bowl is a bit different than a regular season game May I mind you. Odell’s is no different than Carlton Fisk’s walk off HR in Game 6 of the 1975 World Series. It won the Sox the game and forced Game 7, but in hindsight the walk off ended up being meaningless because Boston ultimately fell in Game 7.

everyone brings up the helmet catch but that was nothing over this
Considering it was in the Superbowl, I think it might have been better... or Santonio Holmes catch in the superbowl a year after helmet catch.
L
Giants still lost the division that year though.
Legendary commentary from Chris Collinsworth on this one. The way he's laughing the entire way through and then "Put this to music." Too good!
7 years ago from this exact date. If you saw this live, you remember exactly where you were watching this game. Nothing but memorable and legendary!
0:30. Well he simply just pressed triangle for aggressive catch. Nothing else.
😂😂
And he had 99 spec catch
madden 16 vibes
Lol
You mean “Y”
That catch is literally the ONLY reason he's on the cover
Missed 4 games and had nagging injuries all season long. Had 12 touchdown catches and over 1200 yards receiving lol. Sit down.
Chris O'Rourke False. All the patriots fan voted for OBJ because we didn't want the madden curse on Gronk.
Angel of Hope Anyone who believes in the madden curse can not be taken seriously.
He made great catches like that all season....
Chris O'Rourke Emm I don't know about that, If you were a Giants fan and saw games, you'd see other plays that he made as well, this dude is the truth.
Say hello to your Super Bowl champ!!!!!
Congrats on the Super Bowl Odell
The quiet, "Did he catch that?" From Collinsworth makes the moment.
5 years later and that's still probably the best catch in all of football history.
Not even close.
Tyree’s in Super Bowl XLII is by far the best hands down considering that not only did they end up winning the game after , but also pulling off a massive upset against the then undefeated Patriots.
Let’s not forget the pass was on 3rd down and flew around 30 yards to Tyree
This catch is no different than Carlton Fisk’s walk off HR in Game 6 of the 1975 World Series. Impressive ending yes, but ultimately pointless since Boston lost Game 7
@@RB01.10 bro what are you smoking that catch wasn’t as nearly as impressive as Odell’s Julio Jones catch in Super Bowl was a way better catch than tyrees
@@Sleepy_CR Another impressive catch that ended up sadly being all for nothing that was made all the more worse since it was in the midst of the Falcons’ epic collapse in the Super Bowl nonetheless
@@RB01.10 as far as the circumstances yes, tyree’s was better. However, as far as purely based on skill, Odell’s is one of if not the best catches we’ve ever seen
@@RB01.10 david tyree could never do this bro, the helmet catch is by far more impactful but this is the most difficult (best) catch in nfl history
I still remember watching this game live in my living room just with a Big ass jaw drop. the good ole days
I still come back here sheesh!! Greatest catch ever!!
the commentary is what makes this catch so great lol
Sheldon Limehouse Seriously!
been watching football since as long as I can remember, only time I can recall hearing after a catch "did he just catch that?"
So true💯
Nick Mroczko Do you think it’s the greatest catch of all time? I do
As a non-American football fan, the commentary was what killed it tbh, barely any emotion whatsoever. Look up 'Zlatan Ibrahimovic goal Stan Collymore commentary'
The catch that ruined madden
OOF
😂 I am a Giants fan and I agree afterwards they were having everyone make that catch in the video game.
TOP level, Underrated comment here..
LMFAOO ITS SO TRUE
The best part of this catch are the expression of the people in the back of the end zone the dude holding the camera who’s supposed to be filming actually drops his jaw while allowing the camera to point to the ground instead of filming 😂😂😂😂😂
That's all I've been replying for...just to see all the reactions 😂
Keep going bro, you’ll win a Super Bowl one day
I have never watched a game of football. but that was amazing
NebulaEpsilon boi

Got something to tell us Odell?
Copier
+Stack Guy And your comment now has 66 likes on it. 2spooky4me.
Ha changed it to 67 likes bitches 🖕🖕🖕
+Presley Chan now 69
+Presley Chan fhbhuhuuuu
Anyone watching this because OBJ made it to the Superbowl?
same
Now a Super bowl champ
I remember when the internet completely blew up over this, great catch.
Sad how it was ultimately for nothing though
@@RB01.10 a touchdown won’t go as far as to take you to the Super Bowl, so it really amounted to the most it could, touchdown, internet fame.
@@AWCTB Let’s be real here.
This catch will always be in Tyree’s shadow for the impact that Tyree’s catch had overall. The stakes for that one were far larger than this one.
@@RB01.10 we weren’t comparing catches, we were only speaking of what it amounted too.
This was amazing. 1. He could've went out of bounds. 2. It was 3 fingers. 3. He was fouled and STILL caught it.
Technically 2 fingers and a thumb though because the thumb isn't a finger.
Otaku オタク4. He zscored
Joshie27 “foul”
4 td
@@joshie2764 lol ok buddy
Whose here after Picken’s catch?
There have been amazing catches in NFL history, but this is probably the most iconic and memorable of all of them.
Had to come see this again because I still can’t believe what I saw 6 years ago.
For real 😖🙁
Who’s here after the Browns trade
lol
👍 👍 👍
Ny is gonna be sorrry they let him go. Too bad they wont play against each other. Nothing like playing your former team with a vendetta.
Me And I'm A Browns Fan :P
Doesn't seem like Cleveland is really utilizing him though
I come back every once and a while just to see the masterpiece again it really never gets old💯
Sempre venho aqui rever essa jogada, lembro-me como se fosse ontem. OBJ é meu jogador predileto
nobody:
middle schoolers under the bleachers at high school football games.
2014 through 2016 was a great time for WRs. Beckham, brown, julio and others were all mega stars
Don’t forget Hopkins
Prime julio is the greatest receiver of all time idc coming from a saints fan i have never in my life seen that💯💯
@@rambobrazy8411 Jerry Rice?
@@CMHatem never seen dude play
Um, Calvin Johnson (Megatron)!
I remember this like it was yesterday. I was in 8th grade and I remember seeing everyone’s Snapchat story and it was just Odell. Man sports during 2014-2018 were just so good. So many good things happened during that time period. Miss those days 😪
Cris Collinsworth saying in controlled awe, "That is impossible... that is absolutely impossible... what he just did," makes this so watchable over and over.
0:51 Look at the police officer. 😮
yes😂
OMG
he was just pointing out a fact
Lmai
Oh my god, look at his face. Priceless reaction
He caught the ball with 3 fingers!!!!
Cuz he has those sticky ass gloves
+Evan Williams stickum
+Evan Williams still impressive either way
Actually 2 because his thumb😂
after 7 years I'm just now realizing he actually caught it with 3 fingers 😭😭wtf bro I'm a die hard cowboy fan but this was ridiculous
can believe this was nine years ago. time flies. still the best catch i’ve ever seen
15-25 years later....."I used stickum".....
W lmao
Even with stickums its still a great catch. He only used 3 fingers and stretched his arm all the way to get that, got fouled and stayed inbounds c'mon.
barely a foul.
You mean he fell after BJ pushed off.
Eric Cartman like Jerry rice?
I remember the 4rd grader boys used to be like ODELLLLLLLL
Almost 2022 and im still remembering the good old days
Who’s here after seeing Pickens catch?
