Solid 4 or higher. This would look good on anything from a Model T, to a 57 Chevy, to a 70 Nova, to most any modern vehicle.... but I can REALLY see it on a Volkswagen Bug.

Can you try Gloss cranberry with a orange or purple color shift?
I give it a three. I like it a lot, but I don’t see it as chameleon where it changes colors from different angles. It just looks like a really nice pearly coat.
I like it a lot. I like it so much that I am going to spray my Kawasaki ninja that same color. I give you a solid 5. But it is more like a 10

I'm painting my k10 pickup my question is I'm painting my pickup truck black I want to put a pearl purple on my truck over the black in could you give me some advice on where I can get the purple Pearl please
There are many good sites that sell pearls kp pigments and didspade are my favorites to use. If you're just looking for simple solid purple Pearl here's a link to one on Amazon as well.

did you get a new test fender? This one doesn’t look dented. No offense and it’s identical to the civic fenders on my 2002 it seems.

Looks great! 4.5 all the way. Would that pearl/colorshift spray ok through a filter in the cup or should you remove it? Also how long did you let the Base flash off before you sprayed the clear? Appreciate all the great content!
I usually remove the filter when spraying pearls also I usually wait about an hour after the last coat of Base but what I do is I touch the tape or I touched the part in an unsuspecting area to make sure it's tacky but it's not pulling paint off of my finger that lets me know it's ready to take on another coat thanks for watching

Hey do you think you can find a combo that is similar to Subaru java black pearl? I love that color, but man the price is nuts. 18L is the paint code if that helps at all.
Yeah I'm very familiar with that paint code actually I'm painting a right hand drive Cressida right now if you look about 6 months back in my videos I've already done the door jambs the engine bay etc and Java Black Pearl if you wanted to replicate that you would want to probably use gloss black rustoleum and a bronze Pearl stay tuned I might cover it in a future video thanks for watching
@@WHITLEYAUTOWORKS Just went back and watched the Cressida build, man that is quite a project. Hopefully he finds a hood soon. I can't wait to see it when it is finished out!
@ghillbilt9750 yeah it's one of those ongoing projects he actually found a hood and he's in process of doing suspension and ordering a body kit and swapping in a 2JZ turbo motor roll the quarters etc. because it's going to be a full on drift car so I told him get everything he wants done to it like that ahead of time because I don't want to start body working the outside and paint the exterior until all of the other stuff is done so stay tuned it'll eventually come back to the channel LOL
Have you ever had any reactions with the clear coat on the oil based rustoleum? I talked to a guy that paints cars and he said there's not really a clear coat that you can use with oil based but it always seems to work fine for you and other people on CZcams, just wondering before I paint my car
Yes plenty of times actually mistake I was making was using a lacquer or enamel based clears you want to use 2K urethane clear coat it has a flexibility additive that works well with the rustoleum if you need any other assistance feel free to ask any questions and thanks for watching

@@tasuki I'll second that. 2k clear urethane with hardener is amazing over Rustoleum. I just painted my Telecaster with Rustoleum Cobalt blue metallic, then a coat of Rustoleum clear, then a coat of Rustoleum glitter, then 6 coats of 2k clear. Im about to do 3 more coats of 2k clear next weekend. Then wetsand 800/1500/2000. Then 3 step wax and buff.
So far, I have not had ANY bad reactions with the 2k clear.
Just remember to dust coat the first coat of 2k clear to introduce the clear to the Rustoleum.

@WHITLEYAUTOWORKS let me ask your opinion, so I'm gonna Paint my car using safety red but was gonna add some black to darken it up a little, do you think a darker red pearl or a brighter red pearl would look better with a darker red color
