Magpul STR Mil-Spec stock - Overview and B5 systems comparison

- Eyed the Magpul STR for some time now and finally snagged one up. Has battery storage compartments similar to the B5 SOPMOD. Additionally has a great cheek weld. Comparing between the B5 Bravo and SOPMOD the cheek weld appears to be right in the middle of the two. Fitment to buffer tube was good as well. Had a little play but still solid lock up. For price and features definitely a great stock and direct competitor to B5s offerings.

Will that mount with a Sig mcx spear lt?
My understanding is those have replaceable folding stocks/tubes. So if you’re running the JMac Customs or Midwest industries folding tubes this will definitely fit.

@@markjacksonmusic21 my buddy just got a MCX but I haven’t had chance to check it out. The standard stock looks similar to the JMac skeleton stock I run on my BRN180. I love the skeleton stock but definitely different than standard stock.
