Even though these jokes were funny to us back then, it is kinda SCARY seeing this know as smarter teens/adults. With her brother having major mental health problems (maybe he has Schizophrenia or any other mental health disorders), she must’ve been psychologically traumatized from her brother’s actions, like listen to her voice whenever she talks, including telling stories about her brother, she sounds really hurt and scared. Not only that, but it's probably frightening that her brother can possibly harm her at any moment outside of school or her friends. When Jade imitated Cat when talking to Tori and lying that her brother locked in the closet, Tori didn’t even seem concerned, which is SCARY! If anything like that happened to her and one of her friends doesn’t seem concerned, it is not good. It is also really sad that her parents didn’t pay any attention to her. It then later got to the point that they can no longer care for and provide for her, and she was forced to live with her aunt and uncle. She later dealt with domestic abuse from her aunt and uncle and could no longer handle it and forced herself to live inside the school’s attic as she had no choice. She didn’t tell anybody until Jade and Robbie found out and helped her move to her Nona after finding out she lived in Venice, CALIFORNIA and not Venice, ITALY. All I can say is, this show had some dark humor, and you can see the reason why Tori and her friends always hang out with each other as they feel like family towards each other, and each of them help each other out. I can guess that this show secretly sends a message to kids to know that anybody, including friends, can be on your side and are also family to you.

I used to stop watching Victorious mid season two because I just liked Cat during the earlier episodes and hated how down the line and in S&C she was so child-like and cutesy all of a sudden for no reason. I have a theory that Cat's Brother, Spencer, and Crazy Steve are all the same person. Crazy Steve sounds like he'd do the things that Cat says her brother does, and Spencer is essentially a tamer version of the two. Also, at 3:00 you know how there were a ton of fake feet in the trunk of Cat's brother's car? Well, in the episode iGet Pranky for iCarly, near the end Spencer walks into the apartment with a piece of artwork he assembled out of fake feet.
(I know that Jerry Trainor plays the role of both Crazy Steve and Spencer, but what I mean by this is them being the same person in the shows' storylines.)

Cat would’ve recognized Spencer but then again i don’t remember them encountering and stuff but still. also in an earlier comment it states that Victorious refers to drake and josh as a tv show so crazy steve to them was a show character.
