Useful video, my Tenda 4G680 router arrives soon.
Both Phone calls seemed not to use VoLTE, the Router switched back to 3G / 2G (CSFB) as the connection strength display changed with the phone calls.
whey your internet speed so slow?only 1 ?other guys have 20 Mbps.

Do you see a speed difference between hotspot from a phone and this device using same network provider ?
The sim that I used in this video is usually used in a 4G tablet. I didn't find any big differences in speed.

Since it's a cordless phone used here can the SMS facility be used as well sending and receiving messages on the Sim connection?

I got myself a SIM card unlimited data it’s speeds outside the box in my phone are considerably higher then once I put into my box, the box with the sim is barely 1mbps whilst in my phone it’s 8/9mbps why is this? I really wanted to use the sim/box combo for gaming etc any fixes or things I can do?
Can you set this router using a android tablet,tend 1200 dual wifi.
I have a cable modem an I want the Tenda to be a WLAN NAT Router to the cable modem.
Just in case the cable modem does not connect properly then I want the Tenda automatically
switch to the SIM card - with limited bandwith defined per WLAN client.

Con ILIAD tutto ok ma con KENA non c'è verso di fargli agganciare la rete 4G pur essendo disponibile sul luogo, la sim messa su smartphone prende subito rete 4G. Ho abilitato la rete automatica ma oltre il 3G sul modem non va, ho messo connessione forzata su 4G ma mi da nessun servizio, volevo mettere connessione manuale per selezionare manualmente la rete Tim 4G ma non mi da l'elenco delle reti anche selezionando MANUALE. Come si può fare? Grazie.

Hi Trafegon.., in this this router if I need to config the port forwarding option we need static SIM or ordinary SIM enough.
It does not depend on a fixed address but whether you get a public address or not (in many cases, you get a random address from another company router, and the public address you see is that router and not your device).
I have a problem with this one. I can't access STEAM , Uplay, Origin, etc. even with firewall OFF. Using same sim card in lte dongle (Huawei E398) works fine with same settings. Any ideas if my device is broken or settings are messed up?
I just got one of these cheap from ebay and my PS4 was only connecting on NAT3 which would prevent online gaming.
After a bit of trial and error I found if you go to security settings and change NAT from "Symmetrical" to "Port Restricted" it may solve your problem.
My PS4 was back to NAT2 which is the setting it was using for previous internet connections and I had no further gaming issues.
I know this is 2 year old message but I am replying in case someone like myself who has just got one of these routers needs some help on this issue.
But how do you setup this router for uPNP and port forwarding? I can't get NAT type 1 for PS4 Connection...

4G with a cheap Italian operator, with other operators like TIM or Vodafone performances are much better.

da m4eno di un mes4e ho acquistato un modem router huawei di cat 6 con presa telefonica nalogica ma ad un prezzo esattamente doppio di questo che mi sembra assai simpatico anche nel design......ho letto su amazon la recensione di un utente che lo ha restituito in quanto dichiara che una volta spento, al riavvio non si collega se non si accede tramite pc alla schermata di controllo....mi sembra una caxxata in quanto credo che basti configurarlo su connessione automatica per ovviare al problema....comunque gtazie per la recensione......

Ciao, grazie per aver guardato il video e per il tuo commento. Gli SMS vengono ricevuti senza problemi come su un normalissimo smartphone solo che li vedi dal pannello WEB del modem. Si il prodotto funziona bene e fa quel che deve, lo consiglio a chi non ha la possibilità di avere una connessione via cavo (ADSL o fibra) oppure da utilizzare come connessione di backup in caso di guasti o malfunzionamenti della linea fissa.
