    Very well done. I could easily see you narrating/producing documentaries on a professional level. You are a natural narrator. Thanks!

      I agree, and I listen to CZcams stories all day. I'm puzzled that there aren't a million subscribers. I think the algorithm gods will find the right story at the right time and then everyone will find her channel.

    Coherent analysis.
    As an across the board all around climber from bouldering to alpine including serious ice climbing etc, I will point out an irrefutable sad fact that is ongoing in every aspect, every type of climbing. Some people are climbing for the wrong reasons.
    The world be, of course, very boring without egos, without people driven by completion etc. That being said, many sad unnecessary deaths occur with bad judgement drivel by fame, hollow glory and at times money. Kodak courage is a problem, some can't just go climbing and have to spew about their efforts and accomplishments on social media etc. Many examples are available where some can't go climbing without a camera pointed at them.
    Free solo rock climbing is never required required to be a very accomplished climber, and the hype and exposure of great free solo accomplishments usually results in unqualified people dying as they want to emulate these select few.
    Climbing for the wrong reasons.
    Records are the goals of a minority of the millions of climbers worldwide. Sadly some goals get people to risk their life for all the wrong reasons. When in the 7+-8 thousand meter game all objective dangers are exacerbated. This story of these two women are a clear example. Best to be more humble, especially in the 8000 meter game.

    Clearly a case of summit fever 😌 an avalanche also killed a superb American climber named Alex Lowe. Everyone there knew the risk of avalanche that day . The signs were clear . They went for it and lost their lives doing what they loved and they knew the risks . Sad a title may have cost them . God bless their spirit 🥂

    This sounds like they became over focused on the goal and not on reality. A good book on this subject is "Deep Survival: Who lives, Who Dies and Why." by Laurence Gonzales.

    So sad ... My prayers to all involved ,who suffered losses especially Sherpa families for whom it's life threatening work to raise families... I have no knowledge of mountaineering but this looks like ignoring safety for ambition while risking the team too... Here is a video by a young climber from India Parth Upadhyay with his inputs,thoughts on the same topic "SUMMIT FEVER" . Rest in Peace 🙏 czcams.com/video/F9eE4v2LEtE/video.htmlsi=K975ZrqgVEhWWlnn

    "A testimate to" and "a spirit of" are two AI generated "tells" that really bother people. If I find more I will post them so you can know what to watch out for. I would suggest using AI generated text sparingly though I know it helps generate content faster so its something that needs to be weighed.

    • @Occurrencepod

    • @SLCtica
      @SLCtica Před 6 měsíci +2

      I didn’t get the sense the script was AI generated at all. Those are both other common phrases.

    • @ED-es2qv
      @ED-es2qv Před 5 měsíci

      I don't think you're correct about AI with those phrases. I've been hearing them for half a century.
      This young woman is a good story teller. It's not fair to assume she's not doing her own work, but she is certainly talented enough to deserve scripts handed to her.

    Just shows being in competition with one another doesn’t work men or women,people do more helping one another not being in compitition with one another

    "Most clients are short-roped by their personal guide." This statement is flat-out untrue.

    • @Occurrencepod

      That came directly from an interview with the climbers on the mountain that day.

      @ED-es2qv Před 5 měsíci

      According to International Mountain Guides, a guide will be tied to the client on tenuous sections if they have an individual guide. Your comment is flat out wrong. A Google search will find you the document I refer to.

    I disagree with the closing remarks. Some people irrespective of gender are just competitive. It has got nothing to do with being a woman. It is not true to say women do not support each other!

    • @Occurrencepod
      @Occurrencepod  Před 6 měsíci +10

      This story and many others show that there are women who do not support each other. I think it’s a good message, to remind us that we need to stick together.

    Sounds like you favored one side over the other. I know more about what happened than you do. I know many of the Climbers on that mountain on that day. This sounds like Gossip shame on you 👎

    • @Occurrencepod
      @Occurrencepod  Před 6 měsíci +2

      I have no preference at all. All I did was tell what those on the mountain reported happened that day.
      Multiple people tragically lost their lives. It’s not sensational or gossip. It’s sad.

      @ED-es2qv Před 5 měsíci

      Which side did she favor? Why the rude comment? Shame on your parents for raising a rude person. I guess it's gossip to say your parents raised you, since I have no evidence.
