Let auld acquaintance be forgot? Since 1707, Scotland and England have been united under one crown, a relationship that has survived domestic and global crises. However, relations have frayed in recent years and support for Scottish Independence has grown significantly, culminating in the 2014 Scottish Independence referendum. Following dramatic changes in the landscape of British and global politics, a resurgent bid for Scottish Independence has gained support. Should Westminster allow for a second referendum? Is independence a prospect worth supporting?

There is no written consitution for England UK or Scotland. The problem lies in the system aka colonialism, which is forced upon the Scots. The Oxford debating society would do wise to read the claim of right

Didn't the Scots join willingly? They knew it was beneficial, but now, times are a little tough everywhere, they want to leave? What happens when it's better to be united again? Rejoin? It's either united through good and bad or divided.. No flip-flopping

@@Joker-no1uh 😮😮 you called over 50 yrs of neoliberalism Marxism for the elites and abject relative poverty in real terms for the rest, as just some bad times, ww2 was a bad time.... and even that hasn't destroyed Scotland and the UK in such a manner as these red and blue tory parties and britnatzis, just in 14 yrs of these ones 🤦... its the worst times... and that's when people usually revolt, especially Scots... thats our choice. Prevent it at your peril, for your English MPs have no right to thwart it... to do so incites violence and civil war, see : ALL OF HISTORY 🤦💩🕳🇬🇧🤦

Can someone explain what occurred when the gentleman stood up and the speaker politely said "No thank you"? The gentleman seemed to wish to interrupt?

@@YouFoundBen With the resignation of Nicola Sturgont, the Jocks no longer want independence but Scotland can never become independent as we will never allow it as England gives the orders and Scotland must comply or else, if Scotland became independent, Scottish independence means No NHS, No Free University Tuition, No Unemployment welfare benefits etc, Scotland is One if not, the poorest country in Europe plus Scotland is not really a country as it belongs to England, it's time for Scotland and the Jocks to grow up as they are not all that intelligent up there, Scottish independence - Don't make me Laugh 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

I would suggest currently there may be a small minority of the nation that is Scotland, who may feel that their voices and ideologies are being met in the most part. However I would suggest that most of the Scottish demographic feel completely subverted, and betrayed by the Scottish Coalition. If I may suggest also that the individuals that reside here and work very hard, and that still maintain their traditional values, and remain steadfast with their commitments to a fair and competitive economy, not a "Free" for all, certainly these individuals are in no part represented by the Ascension of the woke madness, that continues to invade all aspects of our freedoms and private lives.

😂😂😂😂 then explain the British parties disastrous election results in Scotland since 2007. 🙄 we aren't let down,.... and pining in eloquence doesn't make you valid or sound smart.... Scotland isn't too wee, too poor NOR TOO STUPID to be an independent successful nation nation a better Standard of living than now not through GREED OF HORDING OUR OWN RESOURCE but by BETTER MANAGEMENT AND SHEPARDSHIP OF THOSE RESOURCES than ANYTHING England's done the Last 50 yrs with our EEZ. 😊 so strange every election was FAIR and pro indy keeps winning and increasing and winning and increasing even with the britnat media empire weighing down on Scots with fall info and jargon only a British nationalist could conjur .... 🥱🥱🥱🥱 💩🕳🇬🇧💩🇬🇧🤡

No matter what anyone else says about about Scotland we had a referendum back in 2014 where the majority voted to be part of the Union and no matter who ever debates about it doesn't matter the people of Scotland decided and it doesn't matter how elequant the speakers eg salmondo the first corrupt minister for the snp speaks .

@VincenzoInfi , well done, you actually sum up perfectly the depth of the argument of anyone who wants Scotland to remain chained to the corrupt UK system. We witness this sort of response time and time again on social media when Brit Nat trolls get asked to list all the reasons why Scotland should remain chained to the corrupt, undemocratic UK system.
So keep up the good work, you are a perfect advert for Scottish Independence (although I suspect you are too stupid to even realise that 😄🤪)
