Really helpful. 30 years of using Cubase and I’d never heard of Cmd Solo. D’oh.

Thanks Morris. That's why I mention things like this - I think originally I found it by accident one day... so I mention them occasionally as I'm sure others will also have missed them and find them useful! I don't think it's been in Cubase for 30 years though to be fair!

“…..the sound that the 1970’s thought the future was gonna sound like…” Lol. Love it!

Do you know how this interacts with the flexphraser? Is it pre- or post-, can I affect a flexphraser pattern with the scale modifier? Very informative video, thanks a lot!

Although I've used the midi modifiers now and then, I found this survey very helpful.
I have a question though. Is it possible to record or automate the tweaking of the values while the part or track is playing back, especially for the length compression? I would use this with a part that has equal length notes, to simulate the gate function of old hardware sequencers. I haven't found a way to do that in cubase and I thought it might be possible through the length compression.

Alas, while it is possible to automate some parameters.... length isn't one of them! It's a real omission in my opinion as it's something I would actually want to automate to get the effect quickly.

@@musictechtuition ok, thanks for the answer. I will watch your videos on the logical editor, which I haven't really used yet. Maybe one could find a work around to achieve a kind of gate function.
