- I’m in Morocco during the month of Ramadan; the holiest month for Muslims around the world. I’ll be joining the locals in Marrakech and the Berber village of Imlil for the traditional breaking of fast, Iftar meal.
Many visitors aren’t sure whether Ramadan is a good time to visit Morocco but I’d really encourage you to do so because it’s such a unique holiday to witness! Lots of establishments serve food during the day because they know tourists aren’t fasting, and hotels serve alcohol and food. It’s just extra special during Ramadan because you get to experience Moroccan culture and its many traditions.

My neighbor gave me several plates full of those Moroccan cookies. She blew my mind. Some of the best I ever had. And it turns out her sister made them. So, definitely a family kinda thing. Like the store you sampled in....his mom made them. How cool.
