- The definitive documentary history of the Transpersonal Psychology movement. Includes interviews with many of the field's luminaries such as co-founder of the field, Stanislav Grof, as well as Charles T. Tart, Frances Vaughan, James Fadiman, Miles Vich and many others.
As soon as you learn that dogs can hear whistles that we can't (or the ambulance before we can) it is enough to help a young child realize that human experience is limited (and that there is more "out there" than we are able to perceive with our senses).

I am very surprised that Roberto Assagioli,, an actual pioneer of transpersonal psychology and founder of Psychosynthesis, is totally ignored in this video. Not to mention many others outstanding authors who are not mentioned while personal experience of the speakers is overemphasize. That said, well done!

Observe the emotions/feelings and contemplate - am I the feelings/emotions, or the unchanging, eternal consciousness observing the states? It should create a distance from the afflictions, so you can move forward. Stay strong and know you're not what you feel.

Good video and informative. good to put faces to names. unsure about all of Grof's criticims of Wilber (in other publications) and I too was astonished that Assagioli's contribition was not included. Perhaps this is because Assagioli was also a good friend and collaborator with the late great Dane Rudhyar, a philosopher, astrologer and artist, who also lived in P-Alto for a while. I am sure in myself that the remarkable Sutich, who I studied when i was training, did know Rudhyar too - a pioneer in his own right concerning the transpersonal and transpersonal living? Rudhyar's idea of the transpersonal as "energies coming through" and well as meaning "across and beyond" the limitationws of the go is as yet not solid in transpersonal studies. Jung had this idea, Assagioli and Rudhyar consolidated it and Ferruici practiced it! Sutich's story is truly inspirational. Meltzer was also a friend of Ram Dass - leading into spiritual practice alongside therapy! Anyhow, thanks for releasing this video. if only I had access to it when i was writing my own thesis in the mid 90's on the field of transpersonal psychology. R

Im a little confused. Jung did all this decades before any of this people. That was not new. It was new when Nietzsche did it, Jung perfected it.

Fondation, I think each tradition may have a different name for the mysteries. Yes, great work but they didn't include anything from perhaps the most brilliant person, Ken Wilber. Read his book, No Boundaries!
Can there actually be an "evolution of consciousness" in the course of Life? Evolution is interesting. Does it refer to the genetic mutation as a species adapts. I think it should not be used as interchangeable with the word: Understanding.
Yes definitely, I've experienced it myself. Consciousness effects DNA more than DNA effects consciousness.
I think ascension or transcendence of mundane earth-bound consciousness may be better.

Transpersonal psychology is just a euphemism for what is natural, the belief in God. Except they want to create a system where this is possible but the Bible is not referenced. Which is idiotic.
Are they trying give a place for religious experience to increase the scope of psychology?
The bible is patently erroneous in regards to “nature” in many ways.
apparently you don't understand that the Bible was a selection of various texts by a group of very fallible men. Many authors of other texts were excluded. And the work that began the bible continues to this day as our understanding of god and the universe expands.
