Amazing how there is so many people surprised and revolted with the release of a Beherit electronic ambient album. Shows the depth of knowledge that the average metal fan has about the discography of such a classic band.
I always knew Beherit would eventually switch back and forth from Dark Ambient to Death/Black Metal, and back to Dark Ambient again. Always has been my favorite band, regardless. Who knows, Beherit might come back as Engram, Part II. Even that album was more experimental than their older material.
So it would be cool if a new bolt thrower album dropped and the entire thing sounded like Enya? True artists can do more than one project. Notice how Trial of the Bow albums are not diSEMBOWELMENT records? ...Yea.

If 70's era Vangelis was asked to score for a horror movie I think it would sound a lot like this! It's very cinematographic and slightly symphonic. However, the best parts are the ones with skeletal beats, deep basses, and these vocals!! This to me is what makes Beherit so special. More of that, please!
The greatest thing about Beherit for me has always been the emotional atmosphere and Its ability to push me dramatically into creative activities. This do not sound like Drawing down the moon, but it does a good job for me🦊

At 19:10, lovely. Rare to find music that doesn't immediately sound evil, and sounds quite melodic, but it keeps coming, in a loop or with some sort of rhythmic trance, and the more it plays the more it unravels it isn't innocently melodious.
Are you twelve years old? Beherit doesn't have a "fanbase." Fanbases are for people like Ariana Grande. No one is "stanning" for Beherit with posters all over their bedroom walls. Go back to Twitter with your trendy social jargon.

I get the feeling that the people whining in the comments about this are probably on the younger side. They probably heard about Beherit through this boring trend of "war metal" that's been all the rage on the Internet over the last few years, thought the generic, recycled riffs of those bands were "badass," and because of a profound misunderstanding of what Beherit is, associate his art with that gimmicky, superficial copycat scene. Vangelis, Lustmord, Maeror Tri, Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze, Jarre, Eno, Aphex Twin, etc. are part of the lifeblood of underground metal. See: Burzum, Ildjarn, Lord Wind, Nortt, Paysage d'Hiver, etc.

when I first heard of the whole dark ambient thing, I figured I would like it (metal guys making techno i thought). Turns out, I really didn't care for most of it. However, I really like THIS album....go figure.

While I agree that everyone should be more open minded, and the blending of styles is a common trend lately, I also must say that this can't be called Black Metal, or any metal for that matter, cause there is no sound of a distorted electric guitar anywhere. So though really nice dark ambient music, doesn't fall under Black at all. All said, good work!
