@@gabrieljones6218 WWE has done what they've done many times over the years, copy the formula of others success. WWF/E really took the attitude from ECW. They became hardcore, & ended up with ECW top talent. The imitated all the hardcore stuff ECW did, plus The way ECW push the female wrestlers was what WWE did with their female "wrestlers" Lita, Sable, Debra, Sunny. Like Ted Turner said, they used sexual content.
But before those women became a thing, ECW pushed Dawn Marie, Lita, FRANCINE, Tommy Dreamers wife & more.
You can say Austin was born in ECW before being toned down to the Ring Master in WWE.
If ECW was in The USA network & kept their talent, they could've been greater. Plus ECW introduced talents, like Jericho, Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero... But Heyman didn't have the money the other two major companies had.

WWE v. WCW is an easy story. One was a family business and the other was a division of a corporate conglomerate. The family had to win or they’d be ruined. The corporation could easily drop the division it didn’t want in the first place.

That is an interesting take…WCW’s business model contrasted WWF’s. WCW portrayed it as a real sport: time limits, the commentary during the match, etc. I think the theatrics wouldve been a lot less, because WCW wasnt good in that department (ie Glacier).

Eric Bischoff ruined WCW. He spent millions and millions of dollars buying up talent to get ahead in the ratings and never made any of that money back. By the time he left the damage had been done which is why it was sold off.

Wcw even at its height was never as good as wwe, the sting nwo storyline was well done until the starrcade 97 disaster, aside from that Goldberg and ddp were the only real stars they created, everything else was just names that they bought from wwe and who they hadn’t a clue how to use. And young stars like Eddie guerrero and Chris Jericho had to leave wcw to become stars

If WCW wins war, does TNA exist? Because when WWE won, he knew he wasn't going to get a job there anytime soon, so that's one of the reasons why he started it. ECW was already gone and at the time Heyman hated WCW so much, he'd never have gone back there....or would he?

  • @Onthejazz247

WCW should have won as much as WWE marks would never admit it. WWF succeeded by becoming something other than a wrestling company. WCW's big failure was in trying to match them and hire Vince Russo and be that way too. THe attitude Era wasn't wrestling, it was "sports entertainment". if WCW had just held their breath and weathered the ratings attitude brought in, they wouldve eventually outlasted them by putting out actual product. I lived in the NE. THe WWF's backyard. From '95-'98 kids in my neighborhood were talking more about Hogan, Sting, and Goldberg than MIchaels, Austin, and Rock. Atitude was dead by '03. If WCW had focused on putting out a wrestling show, they would've clobbered them by that point. WHo were the biggest WWE draws in '03-'04? Eddie? Benoit? Fucking Hogan? Half of WWE was powered by WCW talent 2 years after invasion.
