I noticed how he paused just before the toothbrush joke punchline as he had to make sure he said sneakers instead of trainers.
"sneakers" instead of "runners" you should say. We definitely don't use the word "sneakers" in UK. But trainers is still a bit American for us. We've always said "runners" when I was growing up.
@@GirGir183 He would normally say trainers as that's what Brits call sneakers.
@@GirGir183 American here. We don't use "trainers". These days it's mostly "sneakers" or "athletic shoes", although when I was a youngster they were all "tennis shoes" or "high tops", depending.

Very funny! That laugh of Jimmy's never gets stale!
I like it that in Jimmy's clips they always show the reactions of the audience. It's different that in his British and Canadian shows the audiences laugh a lot, but when he plays in America it's almost like the audience is afraid to laugh or is afraid that someone might see them laugh even though Jimmy tones his American shows down so as not to offend anyone. His American shows are rated PG-13 while the British shows aren't rated.
Most of his British shows on DVD are 18 (R) rated.

It may be fine as a joke in Montreal, but in the US it's just called advice.
Honestly I feel the opposite way... He was putting too much "effort" in a really small punchline and you can see the audience was waiting for something else. That's why it took them so long to get it
