- Nerfed myself to hear all dialogue. There is a specific line of dialogue at the end that's important, but most people blow her up before she says it.

In the sidequests, 21O became interested in the whole "family" aspect of humanity, eventually feeling a wish to assume the role of "mother" for 9S.

I just realized that she volunteered to be a B unit was so that she could fight alongside 9S in the frontlines she wanted to work with him too...shit man...the feels after realizing this broke my heart especially after all they’ve been through was nothing but a big fat lie.

2B was actually an E model. For execution. 9s was a support you who was extremely efficient at gathering intel. Once he learned to much 2B would be ordered to assassinate him. It's estimated she has killed him over 40 times. Really fuckin tragic story all around.

this game started off as a merry-go-round then it fucking threw you into a roller coaster of emotions and suicidal thoughts.

I was already lv99 when I arrived at that fight and dispatched her swiftly. Now I am in complete shock to know how 21O feels about 9S... Oh boy this game is the gift that keeps on giving... depressing moments... ;_;

I donno I heard this in both English and Japanese and both were very depressing and immersive. Nier had so many moments that were so subtle but beautiful if people paid attention. The feeling behind so much of this game is irreplaceable, and its one of the only games that actually felt like it had an impact on life and the way I think about it.
9s is Level 99, didn't break a sweat in defeating 210

Zack Fair (FFVII) fought and defeated countless enemies, but gets suddenly defeated by some stairs. Cutscene are too op.

It is so sad 21o didn't have any chance to express her feeling to 9s until before her death... so as to 2b... these two girls work with 9s and are both loving 9s so much :::TnT:::
I love how this player doesn't want to hurt her and is giving her every chance to speak.. I was the same.. it shows true immersion in Nier.
There's always talk about how 9S is falling off cliffs or blowing up all the time.
Remember, his model was never meant for combat, or even close to the amount he experienced through the game. His innate reflexes would never be anywhere near as refined as any combat model. He's already in plenty of danger just being out with 2B. Also explains why he was assigned to 2B-- his own protection as a support.

Act 3 of this game was just depressing. Hell the whole game was depressing. That's what make this game so god damn good because it's not a "oh everyone looks like their losing but some b.s plot point saves them all because friendship!!"
I just like this game because no one wins. We need more games that make the main characters actually lose
I think more accurately, there should be more games where there's bitter endings. Games where every outcome is "And everything was sad and depressing!" arent good. If there's no good to outset the bad, what was the point of anything at all?
i blew her up before the golden orb had a chance to cycle around to the back of the wall. For some reason, it was moving REALLY slow, so I just hacked it back to back about a dozen times wondering if the fight was broken. She literally did nothing to me the whole fight.

Very good point. Plus, they were both infected with the logic virus and thankfully A2 put them out of their misery

I thought I fcked up because I hit level 99 when I was playing for Ending B. When I got to 21O, the fight was so quick I thought I fcked up something along the way
You fucked up by grinding. It's Nier, not Disgaea.
I didnt grind at all. I and many others STILL got too powerful by the end. This game has fucked up balance issues. You could switch it from normal to hard mode. However even the balance there is very VERY bad. as all it does is make you die instantly and make the enmeys bullet sponges. Grinding is not the problem the balance in general is FUCKED. its the A typcal art game vs game game issue. Its what happens when you get writers who care more about vision than gameplay makeing a videogame. Everything gets fucked. @@LieseFury
I actually feel kinda stupid, I actually heard the whole dialogue but don't remember anything she said except for the last part (when 9s says hes going to kill her). I probably was focusng on fighting her and thought what she was saying was nonsense (due to what she first says)guess I was wrong :/

Lieselotte Aya what did they do? Make her fight 2B if I remember correctly she died alongside the other operators in the bunker after the commander set it to self destruct or was it the virus; doesn’t matter all their fates were worse.
@@dmchunter7772 When the machines overtook the bunker, they used 6O as their spokesperson so every time the machines said something, it came from 6O's mouth. You could also hear 6O thanking 2B for the flowers (reference to a side quest where 2B gets 6O pictures of flowers from earth) over the intercom.

@@2bornot2b33 I also noticed it, it's really hearthbreaking like this battle, they had some good relationships with their operators, they couldn't find a way to make it more depressing and sad
6 years later and I discover some dialogue I never heard before due to possibly killing her too fast... 6 years later this game found a new way to make me cry again.
3:10 21O is not just suffering the pain of the logic virus, she's suffering her existential emptiness in those last moments... Her voice makes her confession much more jarring... Thanks Yoko Taro 🙄

I kinda beat her too fast to get some of the lines but damn
this game has massive balance problems this is the most common issue in both this and the final battle against a2. Its too fucking easy to level to the point that you one shot boss battles.
Thats not how I wanted to get to know 21O better, dammit

As tragic as it is I think the aspect of the plot where 21O wanted a family and saw 9S as her son could've been done better, since we didn't really get to see much of it throughout Route B and we only started seeing this aspect of her character in the third route...just before YoRHa is destroyed by the virus. I think it's still very sad don't get me wrong but I think it would have hit harder if introduced earlier than it was.
I agree, we just got a tiny glimpse in the data freak quest and the robot hacking/not destroying activity, but then again, emotions are prohibited and 21O was following that to the T

When was the whole family side quest for 21O? I did the mission where you get some info for her on my second run but never heard her talk about it.
the thing she left in her room for 9s was probably herself. she was trying to fuck him, and i assume get pregnant? not sure how fucking works for androids when they don't reproduce. there's no dialogue for actually getting there, as you cannot get there before the story progresses and brings you there in a scripted sequence.

likely a metaphor now that i think about it. Its to prevalent to not be. Could represent his sanity. Could also represent how he is always falling deeper and deeper into despair.. He is a creature that looked for knowledge to uplift himself..yet all the knowledge he acquires only brings him down..and so he falls and falls and falls until he can fall no further..after he loses his mind entirely he "acends" the tower rapidly in a flight unit. In completely losing himself(falling). he comes up with a new more horrible meaning for his exsitance now..one goal one reason to live..kill everyone kill everything..end the lie. He likely either thinks he is a hero in this regard or simply does not care anymore due to his mind braking.

Or a level scaling option for the enemies. This game gets too easy if you overlevel. Hopefully they fix it in the Prequel remake

@@TsuNaru I don't want to play without lock-on, I don't find that enjoyable. I just want to not level up so fast. The other option is rebalancing the whole game, which would be acceptable, but a lot more work.
@@TsuNaru even playing at hard it became too easy when you get +10 chips who five you 10 second of invulnerability after get hit and health you 80% after kill a enemy

what mod that you use to have damage number like that?
The Cypress Stick makes your damage numbers and chests look like Dragon Quest. The Engine Blade changes your dodge and makes your damage numbers look like FFXV.

It looks like he's using the Cypress Stick. It's a crossover item from Dragonquest. When it's equip it changes the appearance of damage numbers to appear as if they would in a Dragonquest game, as well as changing the appearance of chests. You can find it in the forest area right before you cross the bridge to the castle.

No they are androids like robots, that red liquid is oil just its not simple oil we use for mechanics but special one thats why its red, they are like androids from detroit become human for example those have "blue blood" those its not blood just important liquid. Oh and androids are made by humans just not these probably only remaining ones Devola and Popola others are made not by humans

Get the Cypress Stick in front of the forest castle (You gotta jump on some pillars.) and upgrade it. It's a weapon cameo from the Dragon Quest series and it makes all chest look like treasure cests from Dragon Quest and changes the look of some fonts as well.
Was it me or were the machine mainly targeting 9S.
yashiro otonashi they targeted 9S because he was the only one who could unlock the tower. the machines wanted him to unlock the tower in order to fulfil the final part of the Project, the Ark firing the memories of all machines and androids into space, in hopes that it could save them
9S seems to be the last remaining Scanner with use, so the machines pushed against his sanity to force him into unlocking the Tower

In the files for the Project, the Yorha project was a way to maintain the memories of humans, and when the logic virus was implemented, it stored all files in the Bunker into the Arc, including all android memories and human memories (which were secretly stored in the Bunker's database as well).

seriously, i love the game, but because there are some thing i don´t understand about the story, it´s not as good as it would be without my knowledge holes
Project YoRHa was created to perpetuate a lie that humanity was still alive. The Devola and Popolas there are the ones that put what I assume was Replicant data on the moon. YoRHa was simply created to give the other androids something to fight for, just as the machines were only fighting to fulfill the meaning of their creation: "defeat the enemy". In other words, it was all pointless. And YoRHa was designed to be recycled as a way of covering up the lie and perpetuating the pointlessness.
Machines never had access to the moon data and neither did YoRHa. Neither group knew much about humanity except for pieces of data left over from the old world and information passed down. The machines were acting out what they believed to be human actions and emotions based on more or less random things they would find on the "internet".

And then there’s just me who killed her without any remorse or heasatation with a maxed overlord sword fighting for the sake of fighting itself I loved the dlc more stuff to braindeadly stab hmmmm point is I wonder what that says about me as a person probably not good

No wrong way to enjoy a game really, there’s a lot of great story to this game but it’s not bad if you couldn’t get into it. Have you tried any Dynasty Warriors games? Or other platinum games like Metal Gear Rising? Those are some good ones that you might like where you can just hit a bunch of people with swords lol
