    Went for band 8 job recently as a data manager. I'm currently a band 6. So pleased I got an interview. Role was internal, had only 3 days preparation time. Unfortunately didn't get the role. Answered most of the general questions well. One question stands out for me. What can you tell me about your data modelling skills. To me this could either be entity relationship in database sql, power bi data modelling, statistical modelling or modelling a nhs service capacity + demand. Think I made a hash of the question as it wasn't clear. Thinking back I should of asked for clarity

      Thanks for the suggestions and I am happy to help if I can. I think it is very important to follow the rules and procedures and I suggest you take a look at some of the NHS's framework on this. For example, here is an example policy for misconduct: www.nhft.nhs.uk/download.cfm?doc=docm93jijm4n1489

    Hello, could you please tell me how many years of experience are needed to become a band 8a-8d pharmacist after a degree in pharmacy and if any exams are required to move up in bands?

    • @ali313abbas
      @ali313abbas Před 2 lety

      hi, you enter as a pre-reg(trainee) pharmacist as a band 5, then after the pre-registration exam you are a band 6, where you rotate through different specialties, you then need to do 1 year of a PGCert in clinical pharmacy to become a specialist pharmacist or have at least 2 years experience. Once at Band 7 you need 1/2 years experience and ideally have finished your PGdip in clinical pharmacy and done Independent prescribing to apply for a 8a.
      From 8a to 8b/8c/8d/9 you need different experiences and only happens if a job opens up (very rare as you go up and will need to often move around the country)

    So odd, I think the suggested answers are so generic! I would have thought you'd need to give answers that contain specific examples in your answers.

    • @CareerVidz
      @CareerVidz  Před 4 měsíci +2

      Of course they’re generic! It’s up to you to make them specific to you. I would’ve thought that was obvious for someone applying for a Band 8 position!
