Made this yesterday & it was great. Not the cheapest ingredients in the world but definitely worth it. Instead of using Malibu branded bottle, I used the Aldi (UK) version which is half the price and taste just as good.
This punch is on point. It had me feeling good after only 4 ounces. It took about 8 limes to get the cup of juice but other than that it was super easy to make.
Hi Chris,i ve made this today and it was very good.All of my guest went wild and i had to make a second bowl.I ' ve only replaced the grenadine with cherry syrup and for the dark rum i ' ve used our own Borgoe 5 year rum which taste very good.The best thing is that a guest ordered a bowl for his birthday later this month

I made this minus the bitters (couldn't find none), and it came out GREAT. It gives you a nice buzz. I will make more once my first batch is finish. I will also use your advice and change some ingredients to my own liking. Thanks for this recipe

That is a LOT of grenadine. I was surprised to see that much. I use a splash of that stuff in a cocktail, or it gets too sweet for me.

It is so true when you made the comment about your mom having a punch bowl, and never making punch....lol. My mom had so many of them with the small cups that hang on the outside of the bowl. since then she had given them to me two years ago...they are over 30 years old....till this day no has been made. Great videos.

I gine make it for my mother, but use some bajan sugar cane rum instead. but i wonder if you can substitute the grenadine for like a rum punch sweet syrup? its red and got a sweet fruity taste to it.

Greetings and thanks for the recipe. Just the other day I was trying to remember how to make this drink..now just need a virgin version for the kids ( as a kid my Tia made it so we didn't feel left out h try to sneak the rum one ...haha)

This stuff good, but next batch I'm going to cut down on the grenadine a bit. I'll go 1.5 cups next time and if still too sweet will take it down to 1 cup the time after that.
Chris what is that yellow old bottle what is the name of it ? Can it be bought in the states ? Also can the El Doro (the dark rum be bought in the states as well.? Preferably Washington State.

Can I use 4 cups of the Malibu rum instead of 2 cups Malibu and 2 cups dark rum?
As long as it's rum you can use it! But the Malibu adds sweet and coconut, so you will be adding a lot more sweet. Plus a lot of coconut flavor although that's not so bad. Also you'll miss some of the flavors of the dark rum. But like he said, everyone will experiment with this recipe and come up with their own. Go for it.
