I'm so happy this is the first comment! This was in my recommended section and I always dread getting halfway through a video to find out it's not vegan. This made my day! Thank you Cassandra! and I just subscribed, Thank you Pick Up Limes!!
This was literally my first thought after finding Sadia! So true! Nowadays all "professionals" just keep preaching that without meat people aren't healthy or developing properly...
You are honestly the best ambassador for an ethical and sustainable lifestyle because you're so respectable and educated, but never pushy. Love your videos and tips! Have a great day. :)
Love that I stumbled on your channel! While not vegan, I'm healthy and gluten-free and meal prep in a very similar fashion to you. As others have mentioned you have a calming, genuine personality and I can't wait to watch more of your videos! :) x
Oh my god! Your channel is the most beautiful thing I've came up across in a while! It's so peaceful for my mind, so minimal, so easy to watch, you talk so calmly, you just bring peace to my life. One of my favourite channels now! ❤
I found your channel yesterday and have been binge watching. Also downloaded a couple of recipe PDFs. I am not vegan, not even vegetarian but in the last 6 months or so, I have been feeling an undying urge to go for more plant-based meals and keep the other stuff as a once a week treat. Your channel is just the right kind of inspiration I needed. Thanks!
Oh I'm so happy to read this, Mousumee! Thanks so much for the lovely message. I hope you enjoy the recipes. There's no right way to become plant-based. Some people do it overnight and others prefer a slow transition. Take it at your pace. Wishing you all the success
I can't believe how jam packed this 6 min video was with great information. I not only love your calming voice but also how succicnt you are with your information. Thank you for another wonderful video :)
Thank you, Sadia! 😀 After yrs of studying food & nutrition, being terrified of nutrient loss, etc. if I preprepped, I am finally at almost 60, ready to do it under your excellent tutelage! Much appreciated, from my cottage in country Australia!! 🤗🌸💖
You start changeing my life last week when I found this channel. Not just empty story, your approach is so catchy and I started using tips from all videos subconsciously. Thank you
The video is not only useful, just listening that calm and wealth-minded voice is more beneficial! Many thanks for sharing those thoughts, ideas, lifestyle lectures.. A+
I've been going through your videos steadily and find myself more and more attracted to the vegan lifestyle. I have actually started changing my intake to include more seeds and nuts and less animal food sources. You are an inspiration! Thank you
I have to tell you that my mom has been suggesting the onion and garlic hacks to me for years. Seeing you peel and cut the garlic really reminded me of her so much!!! Thank you for this wholesome video :)
Hi Sadia, could you do a video on ‘food waste Cooking’? How to improvise with leftover to prevent food waste. Also information on the interpretation of expiry dates would be useful! Food waste is a massive issue worldwide and I think you could provide some great tips! Love the channel. Groetjes uit Groningen xx
Actually, you only need the processor for the Hummus. She used the processor for the onions to avoid crying, though there are some other ways to get around that if you don't want to deal with the processor...
Lazy Girls Kitchen this is super helpful indeed! most of the meal preps videos i have watched made me doubt their healthy benefits after let's say, 3 days
Hii Sadia , I am a huge fan of yours. U have no idea how many times I have seen your each and every videos. Even my morning routines are exact copy of yours and I love to follow your path. Thanks a lot . you are a true inspiration.
I've been following your useful tips for the past 2 weeks, saving time & money. Frozen banana in smoothies big hit with my kids. Your videos are quite soothing & inspiring. well deserved 100k + subscribers!
I found your channel when searching for one to recommend my ESL students to practice listening, but I just looooove all your tips (besides your accent) and now I´m the follower. You´re just amazing!
I wonder if you also took class in skid writing, broadcasting or in general were in entertainment business. The quality of your narration is better than most of the actresses on TV. And damn, you are downright beautiful. Like, seriously beautiful.
I started watching your channel this january and it has inspired me so much to be a healthier, happier person! At the beginning of the month i weighed 248 and now i weigh 238. This is only a start! I can say thank you for getting my mind in the right place!
Just subscribed, not only because I want to see more of your meal ideas but it's your voice tone that make me feel like a meditation. One of the great YT channels :D
You look so healty and relax ! I'm so happy to have found your channel ! Don't give up, i've learn so much thing in such a small amouth of time ! Thank you
The garlic and onion prep idea is BRILLIANT! I use them both pretty much every day so it makes so much sense to have them prepped before hand! Can't believe I didn't think of that before! Thanks girl! I just discovered your channel last night and I am so happy to have found you!
Hi Sadia! I am new to the plant-based, and I just came across your channel. Your videos are incredibly inspiring!! I love how-you're well-versed in your subject area, but welcoming to those new to it. I am not judgmental of others, even in the slightest when it comes to eating. I just want to make better food choices for myself and my family. I just really appreciate how you meet people where they are and offer practical advice along with all of the free resources resources. Thank you so much for taking the time to put these together and sharing it for free. I know my husband and I will be faithful viewers of youth channel🤗
I think it would be helpful to tell us how long the food can last in the fridge without getting bad. It would help knowing so we don't make to much food.
you sound so much more informative and intelligent than other health and fitness channels. you've got a very nurturing and soothing presence too. just subscribed!
Personal notes: Meal prepping 1. Peel and quarter onions, blend in food processor till coarsely chopped, high heat (use a little olive oil, if sticking to bottom of pan use water) cook to caramelize, pack in glass tiffin and store. (stores for 4 days in fridge, try to finish in 3) 2. Peel garlic, in tiffin. (stores for 1 week in fridge, try to finish in 6 days) 3. Soak legumes/pulses after rinsing, overnight. Cook beforehand. Lentils cook faster than beans, quinoa cooks faster than brown rice. (stores for 3 days in fridge, try to finish in 2) In glass tiffin. 4. Blend cooked chickpeas/beans to make hummus and store. (classic hummus stores for 5 days in fridge, try to finish in 4). Store in jar, tahini also in jar. 5. Cut and store veggies. (depends on vegetable, carrots 2 weeks raw, bell peppers 2 days raw, etc). Store in glass tiffins. 6. Peel super ripe bananas, quarter, cover with parchment paper to avoid sticking and put it in a freezer, store in box then freezer again (you can batch any fruit like this, duration depends on fruit) Store in glass tiffins. 7. Make granola. (Store in airtight jar for 3 weeks)
Many thanks for this video! I used to live in the Netherlands and your videos remind me my healthy lifestyle in Maastricht :) When I returned I have become demotivated to pursue healthy lifestyle. But after watching your videos I started to change my life in my home country, as well. So keep going and sharing your beneficial tips with us ❤️
Another trick I love it to pop a whole head of garlic in the oven while I'm cooking something else in there. When you pull the cloves off the head afterwards you can just squeeze the mushy roasted garlic out and freeze it. I pop it in icecube trays or you could break up the head and roast all the cloves individually so that you can just pop the whole cloves in the freezer. Perfect for adding to dinners and roasted garlic adds so much extra flavour!
5 Changes in Your Workout That Lead to a Greater Weight Loss Melting fat and getting into shape may take ages unless you recognize that there are a couple of smart ways in which will make your exercise simpler and fewer time-consuming. sarnk.com/2020/08/03/5-changes-in-your-workout-that-lead-to-a-greater-weight-loss/
To get rid of the garlic smell from your fingers, grab a knife (or something metallic) and gently rub your fingers on the blade while you're rinsing them. Then smell again... Nothing ! Magic !
great tip, gotta try that! i usually quickly grab a few drops of dish soap to clean my fingers, and garlic/onion smellies go away. something i've often done is pre-mince my garlic (if you put in a head or two, there's enough for the food processor to do this nicely!), and then store it in an airtight container with a little olive oil drizzled over it, which keeps it fresh. lovely channel - great content, personality and presentation, thank you for the fantastic quality!
What I do with garlic is roast it in its bulb in the oven for about 20 minutes on 375F - which is easy because you can do other things while it cooks. Then after it cools I cut off the top and stick it in the fridge. As needed throughout the week I just squeeze out a clove or two. Completely eliminates the process of peeling, plus roasted garlic is delicious.
Hi Sadia! THANKS for sharing! I would like to share with you also two tips! First: in Brazil they LOVE garlic, so in any supermarket you can find bottles of chopped garlics in oil. It is good idea to keep the garlics in good conditions and taste. And also easier to use it! Second: I saw you cutting the carrots with a metal knife. And a ceramic knife is better because it not rust the vegetables and fruits. And make them keep in good conditions more time on the fridge!!! Namaste Guz from Córdoba, Argentina.
I'm curious to know whether these meal preps retain any nutrients and if so ,for how many days ? I'm from India and according to ayurveda, any cooked meal is best be eaten in under 3 hours to get the best benefits and nutrients out if it.
By far the best meal prep video I've ever watched! These ingredients are all easily accessible, and I really like how each meal had a grain in it to make it more satisfying! Can't wait to see more videos like this!
I don't eat onions anymore (FODMAP) but when I did I wore my swimming goggles to chop them. Yes, you look silly but no tears. I also open a window to clear the vapours and don't take the goggles off till I'm in another room or the vapours in the air will just make my eyes water. Also, if you want to batch chop a load with a food processor, raw onions can be easily frozen for future use. x
I add cinnamon and nutmeg to the banana oatmeal before it's cooked and top it with walnut chunks after it's cooked. I use 1/2 soy milk and 1/2 water for the liquid. You can add the garlic skins to your container of celery, carrot and onion trimmings you're saving up in the freezer to make homemade broth. (Throw away the root ends of the onions and garlic because there can be dirt hiding in them. Keep the stem ends.)
I just started watching you two days ago and boy I am going to watch every single videos of your. Love it You are so calm and soothing to even listen!!! Great videos👍👍
I've just found your channel and I LOVE it.....would love more of these types of videos.....I'm transitioning to vegan at the moment and I'm concerned about getting the balance right....but I also end up wasting too much food that goes off cos I haven't used it. Thank you so much for these ideas.
I accidentally found your channel but i love all your videos! Big up for the great tips and recipies! I made curry for the first time in my life and it was so easy... thanks to you!
Thoroughly enjoy your videos! Not only are they packed with priceless info but the esthetic appeal speaks of your creative potential! I find sprouting legumes another beneficial hack in the kitchen!!
Tip on cutting onions! I've tried the gym in your mouth and other things but rubbing white vinegar on the cutting board before cutting your onions really works! Try it 😊
Love the east going attitude and loved your video on how to take the diet matter easy on urself but ear healthy often. It's a reminder to be nice to urself. Thank you so much. Ur videos are easy on my chest cuz as a mum of four I tend to be be to hard on myself. Not enjoying life but restricting all the time. But Ur videos remind me to be easy on myself and things will happen eventually. Thanks again.
I really loved your channel and your blog. I got very emotional when I read about your vegan story. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and tips for a healthier plant based diet.🙏🏻👏🏻
You seem like the kind of person everyone needs to have around, always with a lovely smile and willing to help, I can feel the positivity radiating through my screen! :)
So I was browsing youtube a while ago when I came across your channel, but I have yet to comment. I just want to say I love your channel and I enjoy your videos. They are inspiring and calming! Btw, your smile is so beautiful! I look forward to your videos!
i actually do have a tip & trick of my own, but i think you can say it is already covered in your other video - i love coriander (cilantro for americans), but i SUCK with plants, literally everything dies within days since i buy it if it's green coming to my house. SO, as a huge fan of tom ka ghai, i tried to figure out a way to both have coriander, lots of it, fresh for garnish, not only seeds and ground seeds, but also not have it dead by the time i finish the soup. i bought a bunch of cilantro and chopped it, packed it into plastic packets to store them on my freezer's door - perfect! now i can have a tonne of cilantro if i want, on anything i want, and not need to worry about it to die or wither. it's not AS nice as 100% fresh one, not nearly as aromatic, but the taste remains :)
Sadia, I just found your website and videos 3 days ago and already made your nutella, hummus, fruit chia jam, Cole slaw and the no bake peanut butter oat bar. Everything tastes AMAZING (I really mean AMAZING) and so healthy! I feel so good to provide my kids real food! Thank you SO MUCH for sharing your recipes and promoting healthy eating!
I found your channel after watching a very educational documentary called "What the Health". Growing up I have always been a very healthy eater, just to tell you my dad would pack my school lunch which included a giant red tomato. I'm not complaining, I loved eating my giant red tomatoes, I just wasn't one of the kids that others wanted to exchange their food with...lol. One of the things that stopped me from ever considering a plant-based diet is the misconception that athletes and bodybuilders couldn't get the proper gains if meats were not included in their diets. Thankfully, your channel is helping me see that a vegan lifestyle isn't as difficult as previously thought. My journey has begun with your informative channel. Thank you for making the transition that much easier.
I love every single of ur videos...Soothing,creative and I watch it like a habit...Ur recipes are healthy and minimalistic and on point...Loadz of love from India
gosh, your voice is just so perfectly accent-free and calming. I love to watch and rewatch your videos because it just calms me down while doing mindless things.
These tips came in handy. I didn'r really know what to expect from this video, because a lot of meal prep videos give you a week full of meals and it would take an entire sunday to make everything. But with your video I could take what applys to my cooking routine from it and I am so gonna prep my onions from now on.
Here is a tip for peeling garlic really quick : put the cloves in an airtight container, shake it vigorously for 60 seconds and tada, all peeled! and no smelly fingers. it's magic.
You look so beautiful 😻 not the cute kind of beautiful, more like the breath taking kind of beautiful💄I really feel happy watching you,, i hope you don't get me wrong or anything. but anyway i love your video and happy to find you channel 💙
I've never really been into watching youtube videos but I stumbled upon one and now i'm hooked. Your videos are so easy to watch (and not annoying like most other youtubers) and I feel so inspired to eat and live better already.
Wow I love your informative videos! And your articles, wow, you even link scientific papers for more information, you are awesome! Thank you for all you do!
You have a new follower! I came across your channel by accident. Love, love, LOVE your videos and your non-pushy way of presenting great healthy habits!
Finally a youtube channel with a real person.. I couldn't take another food video full of "awesomeness"... I am so glad I found this, really enjoying it!

Just being able to cook the onions in advance sounds like a huge time-saver! I didn't know you could do that with onions!
You seem like the kind of person everyone needs to have around, always with a lovely smile and willing to help, I can feel the positivity radiating through my screen! :)

You are the first youtuber I watch that talks about healthy food and gives advice who is actually a nutricionist! Keep doing it, well done!!!
i actually do have a tip & trick of my own, but i think you can say it is already covered in your other video - i love coriander (cilantro for americans), but i SUCK with plants, literally everything dies within days since i buy it if it's green coming to my house.
Thanks for showing me another way to rinse lentils!!!
You had me at "I'm a registered dietitian and nutritionist."
Love the video, I only have one question tho: how long does everything stay fresh in the fridge?

This is the first time I've subscribed to a channel this fast.
Great job! And thanks for all the wonderful ideas.
Wow, I'm so happy I found this channel :) You're doing a great job!
Great channel! These are great tips, I love finding more meal prep ideas! Just subscribed :)
Thank you, Nikki :D Welcome to the PUL community!
These tips came in handy. I didn'r really know what to expect from this video, because a lot of meal prep videos give you a week full of meals and it would take an entire sunday to make everything. But with your video I could take what applys to my cooking routine from it and I am so gonna prep my onions from now on.
I have read that if you nuk your onions for a minute it neutralizes the tear enzyme. You have a calming temperament, makes your videos easy to enjoy.
Here is a tip for peeling garlic really quick : put the cloves in an airtight container, shake it vigorously for 60 seconds and tada, all peeled! and no smelly fingers. it's magic.
Love it! Thanks so much from sharing the tip :D
I dislike using garlic for that reason and the smell would linger on my hands all night. I'm going to have to try this!
You look so beautiful 😻 not the cute kind of beautiful, more like the breath taking kind of beautiful💄I really feel happy watching you,, i hope you don't get me wrong or anything. but anyway i love your video and happy to find you channel 💙
