What's one kitchen appliance or equipment you couldn't do without 👩🏻🍳?
Knife 😛
My blender! I love smoothies!
probably blenders....
Your white vitamix sparks joy 😀 I have the black one..actually first time seeing white and boy it is GOOD looking!!!!!!!
Oh and knife and blender 👩🍳
Priyanka Uppal agreed! Knife and blenders are keys in good kitchen. 💕
You know you're an adult when your mind is blown by a food processor having three compartments.
For real haha, totally putting that on my list of cool things to get once I have my own place!
That's probably the only thing that qualifies me to be an adult
But i’m just 16!!!! 😅
@@idilgergi9660haha me too honestly i think everyone's mindblown by the idea of three compartments in a food processor :p
I don't know how to feel about this to be honest.
Food processor! For cheese sauces, raw desserts, energy bites, vegan Parmesan, pesto, the list goes on!
She’s so perfect. Perfect speech, perfect hair, perfect face, perfect brain, perfect everything!
She got high IQ🤓
Let's build an alter!
Leslie Amar would you French kiss her?
Imagine having her as your daughter in law?
I'd tell my son: "Look, I don't know what you did to deserve this wonderful woman but do not ..... do not mess this up".
Leslie Amar you forgot perfect SMILE!
I would love a video by you with tips how to best store all the foods, especially fruits and veggies:)
Yes please!
Also nuts!!!!
definitivamente!!! really useful!
yes dude! agree!
+1 for this request
please make a cook book, Sadia!!! love from Sydney
It's high on the list - would love to!
@@PickUpLimes thanks Sadia 😊
i love sydney
@@PickUpLimes Yes please do.x
Yesss….I can see Sadia doing this in another year or two with even more recipes! But please include more for those of us allergic to Soy, too! Thanks
You need your own cooking show on Food Network, am I right people???!
Hell yeah. One video a week is not enough for me!
No I like her here. When you are on tv you are beholden to the overlords and all their ridiculous rules and requirements. She currently has complete control over her content and decision making by staying here and being her genuine self. Just my opinion!
@@ginnywilliams8159 good point! I would like more regular videos, but that's just me being greedy!
Why get wrapped up in TV Network games?
No! At this stage, her content is available all over the world (except China, I think). Everyone should be able to watch her videos.
Sadia, have you ever been approached by Food Network? If not, WHAT IS TAKING THEM SO LONG?
I couldn’t live without my Vitamix blender. I use it almost every day.
Your work space is a literal green house and I love it! 😍🌿
Right?! So beautiful! #inspiration #goals 🌱😘
Yes so pretty
I am not vegan and neither do I intend to be one.. But I love watching your videos and incorporating ideas in my lifestyle. Loads to love to Sadia and Robyn
The Food processor has changed my life. I love the versatility of it.
Definitely the blender. I find it to be more versatile, but I love all my kitchen babies... errrr... i mean gadgets
I adore my vitamix. Smoothies are my favorite way to consume fruits, so a good blender that doesn't leave chunks is a must.
I just recently got my Vitamix, and those crazy people that swear it is their life.... Are RIGHT! I love mine 💖 And after seeing Sadia's beautiful white Dutch oven I was in love, but went a cheaper route this time, and got the "Cravings" all cast iron with a chic brushed gold handle. It takes a little more work than the enamel, but carefully treating my pot after each use makes me feel connected to the process and love found in my kitchen. All warm and fuzzy 🤗. Thanks for another great video Sadia.
a rice cooker is the one small kitchen appliance I couldn't live without. I eat rice almost everyday and I also reheat food in it on the keep warm setting.
Yeah! you can also make a complete meal in a large enough rice cooker. Veggies in the steamer + rice + lentils cooking in a rice cooker safe container amidst the rice
Yes, she needs her own cooking show. Love all her videos!!!
I used to say I love my vitamix. Now I know it is my instant pot and food processor I love the most. I can get out the julliene blade for the food processor and make potato shreds and then freeze them for later use. I can have a cheap source of hashbrowns ready to go if I want them. Also I can make veggie burgers, gluten free desserts, and the list goes on. The instant pot helps me cook dried beans and grains to perfection. Just as good as canned beans but cheaper and creating less waste.
This was so much needed for me to decide on my food processor! Better review than the hundreds I have read so far! Thanks Sadia!
Cant live without my French press where I brew herbal teas 🧡
Your videos are a treat to watch...Wish you could upload more often ! I just keep going back to previous videos to listen to your calming voice.
I just bought a Ninja system from Costco that includes a big blender, food processor, and 2 of the travel-sized blenders she showed in this video and they all work on the same base! Cheaper than a Vitamix and more powerful than we will ever need. I think it's less wasteful like that than having a different base for every appliance. Now if only a stand mixer was also included, that would be perfection lol.
This is an old video so I doubt Sadia will see this but I'd love to know why you don't have a stand mixer. They're so expensive but so many baking recipes call for it, I would really like to know what you do when a recipe tells you to use a stand mixer
@ryan van der veer We're very happy with it, I can't think of any issues. The pitchers are plastic, but so are the Vitamix ones, so maybe that's better for a reason I'm not aware of? lol
This kitchen is like a jungle paradise 😍 I’m in love!
I am from India. We use something called a Mixie. It has three jars. Small one for spices and nuts. Middle one for semi solids like gravies. And last one the biggest is more like a blender and also to make dosa flour etc. It’s useful. But I’d love to own a hand blender soon. Thanks for this video. Useful as always ❤️
Just searched 'kitchen prep efficiency', and got your video! Great to see you again! Thanks for the tips!!
I cannot live without a crockpot. I work 12 hour days. It saves me so much time!
I am with you on this one!
I've used my hand blender various ways including " mini food processor ". I grind up flax seeds , pumkin seeds and oats. Works great. I use my nutribullet select to make my smoothies. But there are other ways to use it as well. I just haven't done anything else. I got that one because it took me forever to make smoothies in a regular blender. I had to use a large spoon to push things down. I still have the blender just in case I need it again.
I asked my husband for a cast iron pot for my birthday this year. I’ve been wanting one for ages! My favorite tool, however, is a really sharp knife. Makes prep work so much easier!!!
I really liked how you are showing recipes on the background while presenting the items. I feel very inspired to watch your videos
Sadia, you always create such artistic videos!! Even when you talk about blanders 😁 im really looking forward to each one 💛
You are magic
.how do you manage to create such magical and perfect content everytime..keep rocking
I swear this is the best channel ever. I am having to reparent myself to get my health and really my life in order, and it's all so overwhelming. But the videos on this channel have helped *a lot*. Really grateful!
This came at the perfect time! I love cooking and I’m getting ready to move into my first apartment, and it’s all so overwhelming! So helpful, thank you!
you are incredible, I absolutely look forward to your videos every week!
Love the video, my grandma gave me a magimix food blender when I was 15 I'm now 45 and it is still working perfectly. I love it for so many reasons and definitely could not live without it. I am, however, a sucker for kitchen gadgets.x
Oh wow, that's incredible!! Way to go, Magimix!
@@PickUpLimes It has so many beautiful memories and not even sure if they still make it. Love it. X
Thanks for all the recommendations Sadia~ It's so encouraging to see you be so happy about the products you've chosen for a healthy lifestyle 😊
Hey Sadia, I just wanted to thank you for being so thorough in the descriptions of the related videos you have in each of your videos. Numbered, hyperlinked - it may seem like overkill as you type it, but it is oh so helpful! Thank you!
I can't live without my hand blender. I absolutely love it and it helps me make soup and dressing, guacamole and I even chop nuts and seed with it. No more chopping cuts on my fingers thanks to that bad boy. I'm using BOSH MaxoMixx 750W mid range price, but for me priceless 😊😁. We leave in a very small apartment and is taking no space at all.
Immersion blender.. for smoothies with a large jar and soups in the colder seasons - two staples - stick blenders are so affordable, minimal and very very easy to clean up. Also, maybe a potato masher and pestle and mortar. I like the idea of having as few appliances as possible so use those for making dips/houmous, bean burgers, pesto and the like.. It seems nice to abstain from electricity sometimes!
Watching your videos is like tapping into a guide for successful, sustainable, healthy living.
Absolutely everything about each of your videos is so nourishing to the mind, body and the soul. I am in love.
Thank you so much for putting in so much thought and effort into putting truly valuable information out there.
After so much of going through your videos over few months you have become one of my favourite you tubers. Something in your videos give me a beautiful vibe.
Absolutely love my Magimix XL, mine also came with juicer attachment. I use it for nut and seed butters among other things, but it was the best investment I've ever made. Jo from London, UK
I live for my Vitamix. I just sold my food processor because I haven't used it since I bought my Vitamix. Like you said, it is a very personal preference!
Pick up limes is the best hidden gem on CZcams 😍
Sadie you are a breath of fresh air and you are slowly changing my food perspectives for better..
One of my goals in life is to have a kitchen like yours! It is so beautiful, and everything you have seems to have a purpose. I don’t want to many appliances on my counter! Thank you for sharing! :D
Without a doubt vitamix ...7 years later and after daily use it’s still going strong 🙏 ... I’m a newbie to PUL feed and have binge watched about 30 posts this weekend so think this qualities me as official groupie 😂 ... love your blog Sadia 🙏 inspirational 💕
what vitamix do you have?
Which brand of vitamix do you use
I just started watching your CZcams channel and love the food recipes and food tips. I just had my second daughter in June and I have found the protein bowls super hearty and yummy. I definitely couldn’t live without my blender!! I love protein smoothies for breakfast and making pasta sauce and other liquid foods in it. My food processor is so big I keep it stored in the pantry but that keeps me from using it more often too so I think its time I bring it out and keep it handy. It’s so nice to see food look so good and be super healthy. Appreciate your channel!
Love that this is also minimal.... I'm very minimal in the kitchen due to space and financial restrictions, and it's great that so many of your recipes are accessible no matter what kind of equipment you have.
Thank you for mentioning this is a shared studio. I’ve been obsessed with the look of ,what I thought to be, your kitchen. I was going to ask you about the plants and how you upkeep, but that’s probably done by the owners of the space. Thanks anyway for this video, helpful.
Lesson: get yourself a Robin's mom to gift you incredibly useful things
🤣🤣🤣
Yes Yes Yes!! Thank you so much for making this video, have been waiting for it! Thank you for addressing so many things with all the essential but at the same time making it entertaining to watch! Many Blessing
You are so incredibly authentic and one of a kind! You always inspire me! 💕🌸
I bought a hand blender after I saw you using it in another video and I love it! So easy for dressings and pesto!
Ahh this channel is such a great discovery, love it!
I have really grown to love my instant pot! It makes cooking healthy food options and food prep so much easier.
Thank you. Honestly. I've been searching for a food processor for a while and this video came in time. Always enjoy your videos.
This is perfect timing for me. Thank you! I want to invest in Vitamix, but did not know which model will last a long time. I will go with the one you listed.
U give such positive vibes😍😍😍i couldn't even explain how strong they are......i am 16 and learn a lot from u .....the peace and power of ur words....the way to talk ....everything admires me a lot......luv u from India❤❤
What a beautiful kitchen! I am not surprised anymore that you stay happy with beautiful smile
Sadie I love you so much! Whenever I think of something I want to learn and search it I always find one of your videos!!!
Good quality knives would be essential.
Next up: a wok - waited for years to get one, now I’m using it several times a week. Get one with a round bottom!
Vitamix blender! I've been drooling over one for years but now after watching this - time to go shopping! That's a beautiful color on you btw ;) xoxo!
Listening to u each day is a treat.
I feel so refreshed and good to go daily.
I have jus joined pick up limes but in a really short time i learnt so many things. Your videos are a boost to walk towards peace of mind. I love them♥️
Sadia! Love from India,
I get immensely motivated to stick to healthier eating because of your videos.
I particularly like how calm and happy you seem to appear.
I also love how you have the ability to be very excited for very small things....
Thank you! Keep up the good work.
I'm so happy you shared your kitchen essentials! 😍 Thank you soooo much, Sadia!
Vita-mix...my by far best purchase. It has a dry mixer so you can blend nuts as well like a food processor. I love it. It can make soups too. I totally recommend
probably the most helpful appliance video I've watched. I always start them and then get overwhelmed and don't finish because I really don't like having too much stuff... I love the minimalist approach. thank you :)
I’m just getting into “real” cooking and boy did i underestimate having a good knife too! Been using my blender a lot more as well. Love your channel, its aesthetic and the inspiration from your recipes!
Hello sadia I love ur videos and eagerly waiting for next.thanks for making my day .🙏from india
I can’t live without my vitamix. I use it at least three times a day and I’ve had it for over four ears now. Almost five!! Every other blender I had lasted just months, and cost anywhere from $75 - $100. I got my Vitamix on sale around Christmas one year and had a 20% off Black Friday coupon that I stacked with it, and it cost me around $200. It was well worth the wait to shop around!
which vitamix model you have?
This was fantastic timing for me. I'm moving into my own place this Saturday, and I LOVE cooking. After watching this I realized I missed a few important things for my new kitchen that I took for granted at my parents home, so I'm quite thankful.
I don't want to do without my blender or my waffle maker lol xD
There are just no words to tell about your content. I am madly in love with your videos
I was just waiting for your video love ypur videos alot
Super amazing video 💜💜
Forgot to mention that I still have my mom’s LeCueset Dutch Oven that I gifted her in the mid 80’s
Wow
I usually don't like to watch YT videos abt cooking but I simply love yours, your voice is sooo soothing
we got mum a thermomix as a gift, it does everything! Cooks, blends, processes, it really cuts down on prep and cook time
My MagiMix is the best thing I've ever bought for my kitchen!
As a baker, I love my stand mixer. But for versatility, I love my Ninja Blender/food processor combo. It’s really powerful, but its. drawback is that it is really loud.
Your channel helped me to really crave for healthy foods, I'm drooling every time I see your recipes, they are so beautiful and appealing
Thanks Dear for info shared on Gadgets and utility essentials U use. It's so sweet of u for being so generous and friendly by putting whole lot in such organised , balanced way. I saw ur blog where u curated beautifully incorporating minute details with pics. Thanks for labour of love. God bless you and Robin. 😍😍😚😚
I use my Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer almost daily. It is an essential at our house.
Lorelee Davis May I ask, what do you prepare with the mixer?
Pick up limes Squad!!!🙋🏾♀️❤ I use my Ninja bullet for my Smoothies daily can't live without it.
love everything about your channel, thank you for your amazing content!❤️
Every day I use a good knife, cutting board, and Le Crueset pots.....absolutely the essentials for me!
I’m a fairly new vegan and I can’t live w/o my Vitamix. Bless my husband. Also I eat massive amounts of salads so my glass containers for all my chopped( by hand) veggies. I like chopping.
I use my air fryer all the time. To be honest though, if I had a convection oven I don’t think I’d use it as much. They do pretty much the exact same thing.
Thank you so much for this! As someone a few years into my minimalism journey, I am currently really struggling with building our wedding registry. I trust your recommendations implicitly and added a few of these things to my registry!
Gosh, the aesthetics in this 😍 Sadia, your look is so lit, the rust colored top, your nail color in the close up and - as always - your hair! 😻 Cool content, too!
Nice video!
I have the Vitamix and the cocotte,
For the moment I'm surviving without food processor, but if I feel I need it in the future, probably I would buy the hand blender set with the mini food processor
Also, love Global knifes (are in my wish list) and use jars and glass continers for my meal preps.
8:42..... your genuinenity and that expression full of contentment
I love seeing other ppls preferences for small appliances. I pretty much agree wholeheartedly with you on this. Those knives are stunning to.
Hi Sadia! Such an inspiration you are ! Much love . There is a cooking utensil called pressure cooker we normally use in India to cook our rice and lentils and curries to even deserts. Minimizes oil usage and cooking time.
Yup, I use my pressure cooker every single time I cook. Have you made caramel custard in a pressure cooker? So easy and so delicious 😉
As an Indian pressure cooker is the thing that comes first in mind when we say we cant live without......
Lots of love sadia
@@Esther-ps3vx how do you make it in pressure cooker? Please share
@@dattanisuma
Here you go...
Caramel Custard
(in 5 Litre pressure cooker)
Serves: 6
Pressure Cooking Time 10 minutes
¾ cup / 150 g sugar
1 ¼ cups / 300 ml water
2 cups / 480 ml milk
3 eggs
½ tsp / 2.5 ml vanilla extract
Method
1 To make the caramel: In a small, heavy saucepan, combine ½ cup/100 g sugar and ¼ cup/60 ml water. Place pan on low heat and stir till sugar is completely dissolved. After all the sugar is dissolved, increase heat to medium-high. Bring to boil and continue cooking till the syrup turns a deep golden colour. Remove pan from heat. Wearing oven mitts, pour the caramel in a 1 quart /1-litre mould and tip and turn the mould to coat evenly bottom and sides.
Allow the caramel to cool. (If you do not have a mould you can use any flat vessel the only thing is it will not be pretty).
2 Boil milk and allow to cool slightly.
3 In a bowl, beat eggs lightly to mix yolks and whites. Add vanilla and remaining sugar (¼ cup/60 ml). Stir. Gradually add milk, stirring constantly.
4 Pour milk mixture through a strainer in the caramel-coated mould. Cover mould tightly with aluminium foil.
5 Pour remaining water (1 cup/240 ml) in cooker. Place grid in cooker. Place mould on the grid.
6 Close cooker. Bring to full pressure on high heat. Reduce heat and cook 10 minutes.
7 Remove cooker from heat. Allow cooling naturally.
8 Open cooker. Take out and uncover mould. (Custard will continue to set as it cools). Allow cooling to room temperature. Refrigerate.
9 Place a serving dish (large enough to accommodate caramel sauce) on top of the mould and invert. Shake gently to release. Remove mould. Serve cold. ENJOY 🍮
@@Esther-ps3vx thanks
Blender! I can’t live without my daily smoothies. But I would love more space to accommodate more gadgets, specifically a food processor.
Great video, I have not seen a video like this before, it was sooo helpful to know that I only need 2 to 3 appliances to make the healthy food and drinks. I'm an average cook , aspire to learn more about cooking, create variety of food, I always stressed about not having or knowing what to use for what. You have put all my doubts to rest. I appreciate you explaining the simple things that sometimes we need to know the most when starting out something. You have helped me get my basics right. Thank you.
My husband and I just got a hand blender set and used it tonight to make our first "married" meal together- we got married on September 5th. We got it for a wedding gift and I LOVE IT SO MUCH! We also used the opportunity to use our new gift of a Dutch Oven as well! So much fun cooking with him.
U are so adorable sadia....Just feels like i can watch u speaking anytime and everytime....🥰
