@@Noirfury LOLOLOL....skills are skills.....I've seen GREATER technology and much less skills.... it's like watching old tap dance footage. I'll search grainy footage all day for that tap step that no one can catch rather than an amazing well shot video doing a basic step my grandma can do.... LOLOL...the SYSTEM has been against the arts since the beginning of time, so it's rare to get a GREAT camera, editor, and filmmaker in a real club event with real high level dancers, cuz it's hard to ACTUALLY follow them around, as even those clips was a surprise show and a contest held in a very packed club....old SPIRITUAL message, "from the unexpected or things people look down on comes the power of the Creator". LOVE: the HUMAN DNA
This goes back about 10 years now.
GOD had me as the owner of the event.

This is from the House Dance Conference in Demerara's (Jan '03 ). It was our Annual House dance competition and show with Brian , Which -Way Sha, and me !!! This footage wasn't supossed to to be videotaped by any one other than the HDC staff !! Since it's already out there,enjoy !!!
Man the are gems! Wish they could be digitally remastered. So much good stuff on VHS is losing its quality.
Hdc will have an event in Aug. or Sep. 2013 in NYC be ready!!! This night finals was Meech and a girl named megumi but it was a very nice three-way between Meech, megumi, and Arthur to get to that final. Will post it soon. Love to all!!
This vid is back near early MILLENIUM. Being the owner of this event, I have the full video of the contest night . It was a packed night and ALOT of dancers from everywhere. Funny for me that this wa the night I got to see the growth of students tony kindu, Meech ( winner), and megumi ( finalist with Meech and Arthur). Video will be up this summer. In France now with Meech at rehearsal. Love to all!!

Hdc was an event that put students in cyphers and shows with their mentors, teachers, idols, and peers. No event like it. So it made people dance on levels they normally don't; just out of pure pressure, excitement, and adrenalin on whose watching you. Timeless footage and skill. That's why I'm taking my time putting many vids out. Along with just busy from my own dance teaching career and traveling. My channel has more Hdc vids and Dance vids. Love to all!!

GOD I MISSED THOSE DAYS
The underground house scene was MASSIVE In Toronto in the 80s and early 90s and then the rave scene took over. I remember a lot of these tracks. The most I have ever enjoyed moving on the dance floor. I❤️house forever.

hell yeahh the guy at 5:20 is the smooth style I used to watch in los angeles underground clubs in 1991 ... That head movement with the hands is really nice when worked with the lower body movements. I could never do it :(

GOD had me trying to get dancers to understand their worth.
The first set of HDC videos did give out royalties to dancers; without sponsors....alerted other events to do so ( from all styles), all confidently said, " NO!! That's your Jesus Christ mission"; whew I wish people overstood what that means about the words, LOVE and CULTURE!!
Lesson learned, break taken, no moving.
