George Foreman is a preacher and a part of the proceeds from Grill sales go to support a Gymn/Community center for disadvantaged youth and some provide educational scholarships. And the grills work pretty well too. Cheers

Just bought a new one. My last one i bought at a goodwill, was the best purchase for one-two people. Ive cooked burgers, steaks, chicken brests, ham slabs, sandwiches . tuna steaks. plus much more. Absolutle best bachlor or college student device. I buy those bags of frozen chicken breasts , burgers so its easy to just toss one or two on the grill . I know many laugh, make joke but they just dont know how awesome it is for convientce.

    The secret to easy cleaning:
    1. Line the drip pan with aluminum foil. To clean up, remove foil from drip pan and toss into the garbage.
    2. For grilling meats. Cut a piece of aluminum foil the width of the George Forman grill and twice the length of the grill. Fold aluminum foil in half and grill the meat inside the folded aluminum foil. To clean up remove foil from grill and toss into the garbage.
    3. For non meat items such as paninis or grilled sandwiches, cut a piece of parchment paper the width of the George Forman grill and twice the length. Fold in half and grill the item inside the folded parchment paper. To clean up remove the parchment paper from the grill and toss into the garbage.
    4. Occasionally, a bit of juices, oil, or maybe cheese will leak out and onto the edges of the lower grill plate. If burnt on, gently scrape off with a non-metal object, such as a plastic picnic knife.
    5. Finally, give the top and bottom grill plates a wipe down with a dampened cloth or paper towel. I add a drop of dish soap to the dampened towel to help remove any stickiness. Wipe wetened grill plates with a dry cloth or paper towel.
I have used this method for the past several years and my grill plates still look new. Easy piessy, no mess, no fuss.

The new design "piano hinged" lid is a good idea for thick meat and sandwiches, however, after cooking the meat the opened hinged lid no longer drips on the bottom grill. Instead it drips on the countertop. What a mess. I went to my local thrift store and purchased a used one that drips onto the lower plate and not my counter. (I donated the new design).
