I recently bought the Omega Seamaster 300m black dial and I love it. It’s crazy accurate at plus 1 second a day and it fits really well on my wrist.
I love the look of the Rolex Submariner however when I see someone wearing one, my first thought is to ask if it’s real.
The Omega is considered “cheaper” but let’s face the truth. Spending $5,000.00 for something that sits on the wrist to tell you the time is not sane by any stretch of the imagination.
But I’m glad I did and it makes me happy.

Congrats on having a great watch ! I just bought myself the grey dial. 100% it’s easy to lose track of reality in the watch world. 5k is more than 3/5 of my last cars. It was my most expensive watch and I’m proud of mine you should be proud of yours to

I have a 300m Quartz 2541.80. I am a huge Bond fan so I have the watch in a foam lined Aluminum Attache case with my Walther PPK, a Prop Suppressor and a Parker Jotter pen. I also put an MI6 ID panel on the case. A little over the top but it is a hell of a conversation starter.

Thank you both for the video about the history of the 300M. I fell in love with this timepiece when I first saw it in the late '90's There was something about the blue dial with the wave pattern that drew my eye. Together with that beautiful steel bracelet, it's been #1 on my wish list. I was disappointed when the second generation came out with the plain dial. It was only last year I stepped into an AD and saw the current generation with the return of the wave pattern. I'm not sure I like it as much as the original wave pattern, but it still looks great in blue with the steel bracelet (and still #1 on my wish list). I think this piece as a ton going for it at the price, and IMHO, is a much better value for the money than the Sub.
You didn't mention the design change to the helium escape valve to what is being called the Reese's cup. Reading on some of the forums the new design is not a well liked as the previous version of the valve. Some say its a bit more difficult to twist. I'd like to hear your thoughts.
I'm hoping to be in a financial position soon to be able to finally pull the trigger and make the purchase. Until then I can only keep a towel nearby to mop up the drool. LOL
Thanks again, and please keep producing these informative videos.

Awesome watch as that Seamaster, I have 3 of them, among others the 007 Ltd Ed.presented in that video, super classy with a jacket and tie, as well as with jean’s or jogging. For me that watch has much more personality than a Rolex Sub, particularly talking about technologie and innovation.

  • @andreaiacolina

I love the design of the last 300m professional, but I would probably go for the 300m that has a vintage feeling. The 300m professional has a modern look, but the 42 mm case is on the bigger side for me. A 39 mm version would be great, even though I definitely agree with you that this won't be happening in the next future.

Kind a nice video. I bought my Omega Seamaster 300M (2541.80.00 / GoldenEye) pre owned in 2005 for 1,2k €. I saw it on PBs wrist and it was love.
Sadly had to bring it to a watchmaker to fix the minute hand - I accidently dropped my watch. Hope the hand is just loose.
I'm surprised that this watch still worth 1 - 1,5k Euros.

@@Chrono24Official Hello, for me it's that they're so different. The Seamaster is steep in heritage but it's also kind of a marmite watch that got a uniqueness a to it's own that isnt really replicated anywhere else in the watch market. The Sub on the other hand is more conservative and plays on slight variations and a timeless design.
