When it first arrived I was unsure if I had made the right choice, but after wearing it for a few weeks I couldn't be happier, especially for the price -- $4200 on Crown & Caliber, in perfect condition w/box and papers. I have a few other watches but this is by FAR the best value because it doesn't feel like I made a compromise in any way for the price point. Good discussion. I wore the previous 41mm SMPc for several years. It's a very nice watch and worthy of daily wear, but I grew tired of the shine after a while. It's too reflective. The rhodium plated hands and logo look spectacular in some lighting conditions and completely flat in others. This variance bothered me. The 2500D movement ran about +6/spd which is in-spec but not great. The scalloped bezel looks cool but is useless from a functional standpoint. The bracelet is solid but dated in terms of design and I agree with you on the lack of taper being a minus. I sold the SMPc for a 14060M two-liner and never looked back.

Aesthetic’s are a personal thing but quality wise it is just as good. The place where the sub obviously wins out is resale but I don’t buy watches to sell. My collection is for my grandson when I’m gone. These are my opinions and as always YMMV.

But the Blue colour looks great and is a good choice if you have way too many black dial watches. Tough choice.

This OMEGA watch is simply a pure bomb !
The brand done a very good job and they are actually do is best to clean the situation about heavy discount cause this is not a good point.
There is a price and it must be keep to secure the value of the each watch.
So according to the quality, to the design, to the metas caliber, this watch at the retail price is already a very good choice.
The bracelet is less “organic” than the previous version, but it’s still ok may be more modern and will please more people.

Take off the helium valve, take off the date, lume the bezel, and adjust the minute/seconds markers on the dial so they’re not connected. Then it’s perfect

Yes, I had hoped that due to the Covid situation, they'd have been desperate to sell watches, and offered some sort of deal. Sadly for me, they said they could sell the SMP (black dial) as fast as they could get hold of them, and so, no discount on this one for me,, !!
Anyway, I'm absolutely over the moon with the watch, and I happily paid the full price,, ! I'm not a collector, this is my one and only luxury timepiece, that will last for the rest of my life, (hopefully, lol ) atb. John..

The bracelet of the 300m Professional is one of the BEST designed bracelets for comfort and utility ever made. It's comfier than an oyster style generally, it's similar to jubilee style with lots of articulation points. It also looks dressier and more character than a standard 3-link bracelet. My main criticism of the bracelet is it's non-tapering, it should really taper down to 18mm (maybe even less). Also, the links on the latest model have gone unnecessarily thick, they should drop the thickness back down to the 2012-2018 model

Always get the steel bracelet and work your negotiating skills and have the AD throw in the silicone strap. Beautiful timepiece this is a definite Rolex killer and the best part is the price is right on point and you can walk out the door wearing it instead of being told you have to go on a wait list from Rolex .

First time I've seen your channel. Your shots of the 3 watches look super professional, well done. Your logo looks good behind you too. The ugly barnacle that is the helium escape valve, and the skeletonized hands are major negatives to me. I'd have the rubber strap version, no interest in the bracelet for me, unless you told me for future resale it would be wrong to not buy the bracelet version and buy the strap as an accessory. If you changed the hour & minute hand to simple solid bars like the Omega Railmaster (no fat taper, no silly arrow heads) and kept the seconds hand I think it might be a nice variant, perhaps without the carbuncle helium valve and only 150 or 200 meter certification? You know what the excuses are for the slippery bezel? The large flats make it super easy to adjust with gloves when diving and coincidentally make the bezel more difficult to accidentally turn while bumping against & reaching into/under things while underwater. Yeah, maybe, they look pretty good though. I think I might take a blue Pelagos or a blue Black Bay over these three because of the hands, the valve and the wavy dial pattern. Nice video, well done.

The blue on these is significant. It is because, the blue looks good in swimming pools and the ocean and it is important as brand placement vs. the Rolex. Blue is always the one to get, in this and even in the much older versions of this watch.

If you are using the bezel for it's intended function then you DON'T want it easy to turn.
It's keeping track of how long you've been diving and thus how much air you have left.

Okay, hold up... Why am I just getting this channel suggested to me *_now?_* I was looking into snagging a grey or white dial Seamaster 300M around 8-9 months ago, however, I never found any CZcams channels that were giving good opinions/review information *_while_*_ _*_also_* showing high quality video clips of the piece. With that said, I wish that I found this channel earlier as it has the perfect watch content that I've been looking for before deciding on a particular piece.
Regardless, I wanted a piece that I could wear 24/7 without issue, and so I dismissed the Seamaster and ended up getting a Sinn U50-T. The fully tegimented steel case, bezel and bracelet literally make the thing rust-proof and mostly scratch proof! So it's perfect for a continuous wear watch. The only issue with it is the fact that mine literally gets *_+6 to +7_* seconds per day and doesn't even meet the standards that Sinn was advertising *_(+/- 4 seconds per day)_* . But at least it comes with a guaranteed warranty for one full year! So just before that expires, I'll just have to remember to send my piece in for a teardown, clean-up and rebuild.
But yeah, one of those aforementioned watches will likely be my next watch snag in a few years, haha.

The Sinn is a great toolwatch, sorry to hear that you have issues with the movement (even though its just slightly out of the specs).
If you decide upon a SM300, we hope you will enjoy it for a long time ahead!

      @NippleSauce Před 3 lety +1

@@IFLWatches I'll be sure to let you know if I end up grabbing a SM300 in the future. But yeah, my Sinn had some other odd, movement related issues... The date wheel, for example, kept getting stuck between two different numbers =/. To make that problem fade mostly away, I just put the crown in position three (for changing the time) and manually rotated the crown to spin the time through each day for all 31 days. I only did that last week, but thus far, my watch hasn't gotten stuck between dates once! But with that said, my date wheel was continuously getting stuck between two date numbers on the 6th through the 12th and on the 19th through the 23rd - so it might still end up getting stuck in a few days, lol. Very, very strange. But yeah, I think I know why the watch that I received was more internally damaged than everything else that they had - but that's another long story, haha.
Take care and keep up the great work,
      -NS
