In this video we will do a side by side Square or Princess Cut diamond size comparison on the finger or hand as well as give you different price comparisons at each size. All along giving you different tips and tricks to help you save on diamond shopping. Each Princess Cut Size in this video is compared to this 1 Carat Diamond on a hand with a size 6 finger. This 1 carat diamond at Kay Jewelers like most Brick and Mortar jewelry stores is about $16,200 and that is because it is very high quality. Now also in this video we take those diamonds and compare them to the exact same quality diamond from a website I will put in the description below this video. This 1 carat is $6,940 so you'd save over $9,000 from my link below this video. All the princess cut diamonds on the hands in this video are all an ideal cut and very high quality.
First lets start with a .25 or 1/4 carat square diamond on the hand. Compared to a 1 carat princess cut diamond it is very unimpressive and normally people don't go this low for a center stone diamond. Its main appeal is that a diamond close to this size is only $580 from the link I have below this video. You'd save almost $400 if you bought it there instead of a brick and mortar store.
Next we look at a .33 or 1/3 carat princess cut diamond. Usually this is the lowest people go for a center stone diamond. Now just to teach you carat is actually just the weight of the diamond so remember just because it is a higher Carat doesn't necessarily mean it visually looks bigger because carat is just the weight. Cut will decide if it is as big as it looks. The price of this princess cut is $560 from the link below yet from Kay it is $1,360.00

I went with the square princess cut because the light hit it better for me 🤷🏽‍♀️

ALSO VERY IMPORTANT!!! Make sure you know the number that is on the diamond you brought. When you bring it to a jewelry store MAKE the jeweler take out their machine & have it noted the number on the stone.
Let the jeweler know you know about your dimond.
Pick out the setting -- the stone is put on. Before paying for it MAKE the jeweler take out the machine & once again MAKE SURE your stones number is on 'that' ring setting.
There are many up & up jewelers out there, but some are not up & up & may not put the stone you brought in that new setting.
ALWAYS KNOW what stone(s) you're paying for. There are many honest jewelers out there & some who are not so honest, just saying.
I saved a friend from getting ripped off. The jeweler is now in jail. So just be careful.

Off topic: similar things happen with high end cars. Be careful leaving your car overnight at a mechanic. There are some who convince you to leave your car overnight so they can remove original parts from a new car and replace them with parts made in China that won’t last as long. Then they go and resell your OEM part and make $$.

What's the width size of the band? I feel it makes all diamonds slightly bigger.

Cant wait to watch all your videos so I know about diamonds when it's time for me :))
In the mean time, I wanted to ask you what's the best cut in terms of clarity and weight? What would you recommend if you want 1carat or a little more ...but want a classy dainty look to it.
Also, I was maybe looking for something with gold and diamond pieces, I prefer warmer colours ...

+Imen B Well clarity is independent of the type of cut. But the best cut to have a nice sparkle or scintillation is a round cut. Marquise diamonds with a vintage band look very dainty, classy, and great with gold in my opinion

Ahmed Raza h color and vs1 clarity are good affordable minimums from what I have seen been on the hudnt for a while now looking both in stores and online. Half the cost of d color flawless with very little sacridice when looking at stones under 1 carat
