    I started mine with no money. I used my sales skills to draw customers using mostly email marketing and word and mouth ( this was before social media). I was able to raise the money for the first event and went from there.

    # 1 way to start a event service
    With no money 🤑 is always!!!
    Let your clients know that they need half of the money up front down payment before proceeding planing the event. No one uses thier own money!!! To plan someone else event.... if you are the event planner your clients don't need to pay your vendor don't send your clients a bill from a "rental" vendor That's tacky unprofessional they hired you to plan the event.... your in charge of doing everything. Most people are busy that's why they hire someone else or if they want a very special event they hire some one. Your clients don't have to pay a vendor if that was the case they can do that them self why would they hire you. This lady needs to do research
    On business for some people it's common sense........... I would not take advice from this lady I Guaranteed this lady dose not have any event service
    How can she speak from experience when clearly she has none.... you can't start with no money you need a little for Advertisement yes social media is good. But their is millions of people doing that millions of pages people are not going to look through millions of pages... you need at least $500 for paper ads- you need contracts your clients need to sign a contract to protect your self as well as no miss understandings.... so No you can't start with no money you need a little to start growing

      @EventPlanning  Před rokem

      Ideally yes charge for any costs you incur plus a little for your time and expertise (let them know your rates will be X but since they're your friend you'll only charge them half). Knowing the biggest value will come from the experience of your first event and ability to use photos in your portfolio.

      I would go and research how much other companies are charging for a service similar to yours. Always keep in the back of your mind that companies will shop around for their services even if you offer the cheapest price. You want to be able to remain competitive and be able to lower down your cost if necessary after they are done researching so that you are still able to make money out of your service and continue to do great work with other companies as well.
